Happy Happy Birthday, ((((( Saint )))))))

Y'all, you gotta love this:
So, last nigh dh tells me that Nursey Nutjob was ALREADY fired from the doctor's office. After another sleepless night seething, I decided to just text HER and ask her to explain herself. Here's an excerpt:
me: Why are you calling and texting my husband?
her: Who's your husband? (OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!)
me: Are you messing with so many married men that you can't figure it out?
-----------later---------
me: it's extremely disrespectful and you need to stop it NOW
her: well, i didn't have your phone number (yeah, right)
me: and I suppose it never occurred to you to ask for it in one of your thousands of calls or texts, right? Gimme a break. If you wanted to be talking to me, you would be
her: to be honest, no. (OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) I'll stop and next time I want to talk to you I won't call him.
me: NEXT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Let's see how long THAT lasts.
BTW, I checked with our cellphone company last night and their online help person told me "You cannot block numbers from calling you". HUH? I know I saw it a few months ago because I knew we couldn't afford the charge for it.
Anybody wanna make a bet that Nursey Nutjob never calls ME? Holy crap...
(((HUGS)))

Have a great birthday Saint!
Diane that stinks.
Thanks for letting me bitch! the docs office just told me they made a mistake and would ask the doc if they could fix it. I hope so!!
-
Diane - have you checked to see if she is now calling/texting to your phone, reaching your husband that way?
Lisa

ok, seriously...if I'm not mistaken March 6th was just Friday...I'm 3 pages behind already??? Here's a BIG THAT SUX because it's obviously been a busy weekend here! I had company over the weekend - which was an SOI...but I started running a fever Sunday and by the time they left I was up to a 101...it seems to have broken now and I feel mostly better...but I don't know if I'll be able to read 3 pages right now so if I don't, I'll catch up with you guys and what's been going on later...
Otter and Diane...re: the fellow who thought I didn't need any further mamo/us/mri as follow up? The doctor came in and basically said the same thing! Supposedly, IF I have a reoccurrance, it will happen along my scar line and be very obvious so they don't do diagnostics on people who have had DIEP recon...I could SWEAR I read a thread where a LOT of women were told the same thing but had 2nd and 3rd cancers anway and many were not on the surface and wouldn't have been found if not for diagnostics...does anyone else recall this thread or know what the deal is with follow up? I'm not happy about leaving them unchecked from here forward!
I'll be back...hold the fort until I can catch up -
Navygirl,
Maybe I'm just dense today, but I can't wrap my head around that. It sounds like they're saying that they have a crystal ball or something and that cancer follows rules. Not my experience. With luck, otter will have more helpful information for you. THAT SUCKS!!
(((HUGS)))

I don't have much time, I just wanted to say...........Good girl badboob!!!!!!!! I still have my shovel ready.

Hugs for all, Nancy
-
HUGS ALL & a great big THANX! NO suckage today for me....it has been a really wonderful BD ---thanx to all for the good wishes!
For my BD I'm getting a kindle (I'm afraid to believe I will actually get to read books again!!!) & a cat!! Will post pix when they arrive....
Lovinmomma-----good thing you caught it! I had the same thing happen on a work injury app--onc filled it out wrong & I never got ANYTHING! Not even med bills reimbursed!! IT SUCKED! (lost 6 weeks of work & got NADA!) Sounds like you will have Good luck!
BAD!!!!! Good for you! Does she think you have "dumb-shit" tattooed on your forehead??? SHEESH! Can't wait to see what she tries next-----keep HIM on a short leesh!
HUGS & thanx everyone---this has been a really HAPPY day!
-
Saint! I am out of luck too! The doc said he would do it but today he says "well you have more than 12 months to live and becasue you are er and pr+ the life insurance company will know that". Excuse me??? This is the same jerk who listed me as a "few seasons" to live 6 months ago and the only reason he changed his mind, is because we saw a reduction in the tumor with chemo. Hello?????
Now I am screwed, but he did tell me I would probably live for 3 years. Great. But if my scans come back next month as bad, he will redo it for the insurance company (wonder if I can pray for bad scans and then after the paperwork is done, pray that the results are false....lol).\
I want a new onc who is not such a jerk.
-
Ladies,
I just want to say thank you to Traci for starting this thread one year ago (sorry I'm a day late). This has been a place where we can come to b*tch and no one will say "Oh it's the cancer talking!" May we all have a great, suck free day!
Hugs,
Trish -
Good morning ladies
I just want to get this suck off my chest:
SO(B) had mentioned to me a few months back that two of the closets needed to be cleaned out. So yesterday, I decided to take on the job. When he first saw me, he didn't say anything. Then he said he needed to see what I was throwing out. After I had cleaned all the closets involved and had 3 contractor bags, 5 kitchen bags, 2 boxes and 1 large tub, he decided he wanted to review each piece. I went along with this and we reviewed clothes dating back to the '60's. Finally in the last bunch was a jacket that he exploded about. He swore I had taken his "brand new jacket" and threw it away. This exclamated to me trying to throw all his good clothes away. First, the jacket must be at least 5 years old, next I am taking all this crap to the shelter and secondly, he had no ideas what was in the damm closets. What is it with men and holding on the old out of date clothing.
-
Thats why I always do these things after they all leave for the day. Never miss the stuff if they don't see it. Good luck!
-
Girrrrls....I'm so glad to see there hasn't been an onslaught of suckage in the interim... although what we do have SUX bad!
Diane ~ oh please, please, please...send me the nurses number? I have so many unused minutes I'd like to dedicate to calling her. ****cherrys*******on top please?
Nancy ~ I'll be there Thursday...and I feel so much better today. The fever is still gone and while it is in my chest and sinuses...I don't think I'll be contagious (there I go, making up the spelling again...if it's wrong, you know what to do. Just shoot me). I'll look for you but keep my distance
Pinky ~ it's not just men, trust me. My dp, the one who pointed out we look like a pair of hippos since I started chemo, still has clothes from 1980 something in her closet. Not to mention some very sexy dresses she can no longer wear and probably wouldn't even if she could. (Sorry, I've a bit of an issue with dp these days for some of the things that have been said since I've been in treatment...no mean, just thoughtless things you wouldn't expect to hear from another woman although I guess they can be as clueless as men about the effects of this cancer...)
Lovin ~ I'm sorry to hear they jacked up your paperwork...it's so frustrating when you can't seem to get the smallest thing to go your way or be done right!
Traci ~ I second the Thank YOU for starting the thread. It's my sanctuary and I love it here
You ROCK!
EWB ~ I am so going to follow your lead on that...next time I have cleaning out to do, I'll just do it when I am the only one home :P
Have a good day all...gotta get back from lunch now!
-
Trust me, no one will notice. If anyone askes, get a curious, thoughtful look on your face and give a vague answer like "the last time I saw it, it as in the (fill in the blank)" or "no I haven't seen it around lately- have you check (fill in the blank)". works every time. Then you just coordinate with trash day or when it goes to thrift store day. I favor black trash bags (can't see insides) and put them in the trunk of my car (no one notices). Sneaky things Moms do.
-
Believe me, that is what I will do next time. If I could lift these bags they would be in the trunk now. He left to go out for a while and I am getting ready to tackle the linen closet.
-
Does anybody know where "WISHIWERE" is? She hasn't posted for a long time.
THAT SUCKS to all who need it.
(((HUGS)))
Diane -
Oh, cr*p. Wish hasn't posted for a whole month. She said something about getting her life back, or getting back to her "normal" life. I sure hope everything's okay. Maybe she's been snowed in since then, or super-busy.
I'm the one who rummages through the throw-away piles in our house. It's a running joke with dh. I haven't read this, or that might still fit, or someone might be able to use this... My dh does have some very old clothes, which he still wears. (Neither of us is a slave to fashion.) In fact, if I tossed out his old stuff, he'd probably have to start all over. OTOH, he doesn't complain about the state of the closets, at least not very often.
To whomever needs it: that SUX!

Some years ago DH bought me 3 of the most horrible old clocks you could imagine, from a junk shop.
He knows I like antiques, but he just has no idea what antique is! Just because its old and crappy its worth millions, in his opinion. I stuffed them right in the bottom of an old chest of drawers, telling him 'I was going to get them to a clock mender one day, and get them going'.... not.
3 weeks ago I quietly dropped them in the bins and watched them vanish, all forgotten...so I thought. Two days later DH came home from the pub, and asked where the clocks were, one of his friends was setting up a room at the local Old Folks home and was trying to fill it up with things that would look familiar to the old dears, and he'd promised my clocks as I wasn't using them. I just had to stand and look him in the eye, and lie !! I just said I had no idea at all where they'd got to, couldn't remember where on earth they could be etc, etc, He ripped the house apart, went in the cellar, in the attic, and rooted all my drawers up, even searched an old caravan we have outside....he went nuts...but I stuck to my guns ( well, I had to, didn't I !!) and he seems to have forgotten about it now....I hope.
Whilst searching the caravan he found a model galleon, made out of damned USED matches, that I had hidden out there, another of his LOVERLY presents, and demanded to know why I hadn't got the horrible object on display. What a week I had with him that week....I just wish he would think before bringing me these grotty old objects .
Don't get me started on old clothes stories, he is a farmer, and works from home, so he will wear anything until its in rags, he looks like a dirty old tramp most of the time, and a dirty old tramp that smells of cow muck at that !! He thinks its quite acceptable to pop down to the local store looking like this !!! His clothes are years old. He just will not throw anything away, he does get cleaned up to go out to the pub, but his clothes are SO out of date, he will not throw away, nor buy clothes, and still has sweaters he had 30 years ago, AND still puts them on some nights. Goodness knows what his friends think about the way he looks. He just steps out of his clothes, leaves them on the floor 'til the next night, picks them up all crumpled next day, and on they go again. I have a whole section in one of my wardrobes filled with nice, clean, pressed clothes that I keep for him to wear when we go out together !! I even have shoes as well, that he is not allowed to wear unless I am with him.
When I have a throw out of my clothes I have to wait 'til he is out for the day, and fire them. He will root in the black bags if he sees them outside the house, looking at what I am throwing away, and will come in thrusting a bobbly old sweater at me demanding to know why it is being thrown out !!!
Isabella.

Okay, I'm am glad other's have to deal with this. SO has his "brand new" jacket hanging out side of the closet like he has found a long lost friend. He moaned and groan through the entire look through it scene. He even had memories of old clothes that are so out of date. He has other clothes that are in the closet that he wears. I don't understand he hating to let go of old, out of date clothes that he can't even wear. I guest considering the amount that I am taking out of here, the six shirts that "might fit", a sweater that he can use out side and a pair of pants that are good for cutting grass, wasn't too bad. Now the next battle, getting him to put the bags in the car.
-
Isabella ...so good to see you posting! I love your stories...I can't imagine being you but I love hearing about it
Pinky, so are sooo not alone! I'm sure there are more dastardly stories out there just waiting to be shared...
I'm watching American Idol tonight...I put my time in at work and on the treadmill - it's time for my secret pleasure (easy girls...don't take that anywhere!)
-
Ok, talking with nursey has awakened my inner bitch....I've been really snotty today.
-
you have a RIGHT to be snotty today! This wench has stepped all over your toes and the one person you SHOULD be able to rely on to have your back, has let you down! The worst part is, they stole your joy and for that I could kick their arses!

I have an IOS today - 2 weeks ago, I put new tires on my car. They cost $120 a piece. DH thought they'd be perfect for my hour drive to and from rads. Today, on my way home, I hit a pothole and flattened a tire. DH had to drive all the way out to Poughkeepsie after he got off work to change the tire and now I need to buy another $120 tire (on top of tanking up my car every few days). I guess that's a small price to pay to save your life, but it's still maddening.
-
Good evening everyone, or maybe Good night as it is getting on to 10 pm. Nothing much going on with me. PCP tomorrow, Herceptin on Thursday. That Sucks as needed and gentle HUGS, nancy

((((((((Saint)))))))))) Happy Birthday girl.

I could bitch about some crap but, I'm so worn out from trying to read the scribble that is my notes on catching up......I'll save it for another day.
Can anybody relate to....my 21 yr old nephew is getting out of prison after 2 1/2 years and my whole soul is praying he does the right thing??? Bitter/Sweet...that is what is weighing heaviest on my mind right now.
I love you girls.
Traci
-
Traci - I know just what you mean about your nephew. I have a son I worry the same thing about. He hasn't been in jail, YET, but it's not because he's been a model citizen.
Poughkeepsie is in NY State...north of New York and south of Albany. It is also about an hour away from the little po-dunk town I live in and where I have to go for radiation.
