Wow -- I completely missed your post last Friday -- so how was biopsy? Any news yet?
(((hugs)))

You women are so wonderful! The biopsy went fine....I know the drill, right? But I'm on pins & needles, especially since problems keep cropping up with my bankruptcy case and the lawyer's office keeps calling me with one piece of bad news after another. Geez, when it rains, it pours, huh?
But I have you all and I have my daughter and I have a wonderful man, so I'll make it through. This too shall pass, I'm told.
I have calls into my onc's nurse and she should call as soon as she gets the results. They put a rush on the pathology report, so it should definitely be back by tomorrow. Ugh!

Hey chicas! Here's my update, fwiw....The tissue taken during the biopsy is negative for cancer (yay!) and shows "dense stromal fibrosis" which can mean just fatty stuff. The case was referred to the board for review next Wednesday though in order to make sure that they all agree there's no need for further intervention. If any one of them thinks there is any room for suspicion, another lumpectomy will be recommended.
So, although I'd love to have been given the "all clear," this is the next best thing. The radiologist felt that she took almost the whole lump in just 3 "passes," so I'm thinking there isn't much left to be cancerous (I hope) or even to excise!
To be continued....sort of. I called J right away (he made me promise to) and I plan to go be with him as soon as I can, early Saturday. I'm counting on a wonderful, loving weekend!
Oh, btw, I'm meeting his 21 year old son this weekend since he's on break from college. I'm a little nervous, but not excruciatingly so. After all, J likes me! He really does!
