Hi Beachies!!!! Sure hope everyone is safe and sound from Hurricane Irene. Seems like there's thousands and thousands without power. My heart goes out to those who are. I'm hoping we get through another year without a hurricane. The heat and humidity here is so bad when we're without power. We're so spoiled to air conditioning!

This is our last little bit with our grand-wonder-peeps. We'll head back to WI bright and early tomorrow for another couple of weeks before the next big junket.
It's been great to be here to get my WonderBoy off for these first couple days of his kindergarten career. His daddy left for Afghanistan again on Sat afternoon & called this morning, reporting that its been 115 degrees there! (This is a 'shorter' time-away & is scheduled to be about 40 days on this 'hop.')
It's really going to be hard to leave tomorrow and I'm gettin' myself all worked up about it already. I wonder if I have any happy-pills left?
I'm always glad to pop in at the beach & see everyone supporting each other here.

Our SEVENTH grand-child has arrived safely: BABY GIRL!!!!!!!!
This will be a radical concept for the family as they are the ones (my step-son & his lovely wife in Colorado) that have the three boys.
She weighed in at 7 pounds and 7 ounces, two days past her due date.
We will fly out there in about 3 weeks to spend several days with them.
So our total now is 5 boys and 2 GIRLS!!!
How cute would it be if she were a red-head?

We are about 35 minutes from our slice of heaven. We have about 2 weeks here before the next big vagabond (including the trip to CO.)
Golly am I an emotional land-mine. So sad leaving the OH WonderPeeps this morning & so THRILLED with this great news!!!!!

Barbara, is it starting to cool off a little down there. Our weather guy says we're going to be seeing cooler temps by this weekend. Highs only in the 90's.......LOLOL. Cool compared to 100+.

Faithie - congratulations on the new granddaughter. We have our 7th due in Jan 2012. Our DD#2 already has 3 girls and they are hoping for a boy but she will not find out for sure until the 6th so we are all waiting to see. Right now we have 2 boys and 4 girls with 3 red heads and 3 blonds. Aren't grandchildren the best?
