Mum, great shots

MUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Brilliant shots, brilliant vistas.
Marlegal: love your being the Ambassador for BCO!!! Now we have to get the three of us together! DD is in DC -- so that seems a possibility!!
BarbaraA: LOVE your new avatar of the two of you. Did ya click that one on your cruise??
SoCal: are you here/Europe yet?? Wouldn't that be a hoot, to turn around and see each other in a foreign language speaking vista -- with cameras pointed at the same spot?
3jays: hope that you're havin' a great day and stayin' cool.
YIKES!!! I'd best not start a gen-u-ine list. Internet such a rare commodity.
Know that I'm thrilled to be on this adventure & 'represent' all of you. Just as soon as da hubster wakes up we will be off to Germany. Tomorrow is my first "all day performance" for the children of our troops stationed outseide of Hohenfels.
It is supposed to be a 4.5 hour drive. (Yesterday it took us 2.5 hours to drive what should have been a 15 minute trip.)
Barbe. To say we had an adventure would be the understatement of the year. LOL.
We arrived downtown Zurich on a glorious spring Monday late afternoon to find ourselves in the midst of some sort of spring-festival -- that involved lots of horse drawn wagons decorated in flowers and traditional European 'costumes' -- wracking havoc on traffic for people that knew where they were going. LOL
Needless to say, the steep hills with a stick-shift rental car, the lack of signage (nothing in English) the bicyclists sweeping down the hills at death defying speeds amidst the stopped traffic, motorized scooters making up their own lanes, one way streets with no markings that we ever figured out, dead end streets that emerged over & over, traffic circles where the bravest take precedence (or the nuttiest) three length electric street cars turning European curves with inches to spare............ well I could go on & on about those two hours...........
But on the up-tick, the wagon riders were close enough to hand us candy: LOL
Edited hours later to add a pic to start the page;
-
Ooooh Faith, beautiful! The Flowers!
-
Faith, that pic is 8 years old. We look a little more rustic now.
-
Faith enjoy Switzerland and don't forget to buy that wonderful chocolate to bring home.

Hugs to all.

WOW................love the Eagle
-
I at first glance thought this was a flying chicken
But my husband took this photo of a Chachalaca bird in Mexico.
-
This grey Hawk was also captured by my DH in Mexico
-
Magnificent, as usual, Mum. Pass on our appreciation to Tinyfishy.
-
Wow, Mum, he continues to amaze me!
-
thanks for the pix, WOW that bird looks fake!!!
-
Blondie, go to flickr and search for tinyfishy and check out his photos. WOW!!
-
Mum the pictures are fabulous! The first one does look like a chicken... They look like they have a huge wingspan.
-
there is a possibility that i may be going to the semi beach this weekend, now that means to a trailer park at the Jersey Shore, it does have a beach, if that counts just not at the ocean...need a break!!!!
-
Blondie, anything that has water and a shore is considered "beach" in my book. Even if it's concrete shore...
-
Any beach is a good beach!!
-
yea, then it is to the beach!!!
-
Yay blondie.....I hope your beach is warm and sunny!!!!
-
-
Love that little pool Chrissy!
-
Blondie what beach are you going to? (Or went to!) I was at Baltimore's inner harbor last weekend (I think I posted about that, right?) and any water is beach as far as I'm concerned!! Oh wait, I have a memory..I did post about it and even put a pic up of our hotel - I remember ... I remember .. praise the Lord! lol
-
LIsa emailed me some pix. Gorgeous. Here is one and below that is a link to an album I created on Photobucket for her pix.

Maralegal....not sure if I am going the weather of course.....and Holly Lake!!!
-
-
Blondie, get out of here - do you have a place there? We've passed that 8 million times - every time we go to or come home from our trailer (a few miles farther south - Hideaway Beach). We've always wondered what the places are like inside Holly Lake!!
-
Maralegal, I am not that far from Holly Lake, and I know right where Hideway Beach is. I have never been inside any of the "trailer parks" near me, but they sure do look nice......There are several in that area, and along Route 47 on the way in..........The road going into most is usually a long one, after you go through the gates, so you really can't see inside, but as I said they look very nice
My home is not far from there. My daughter was going down this today to put the chemicals in the pool, but with the lousy weather she changed her mind...........Plus she realized she has Flyers playoff tickets for the game tonight, so she was glad it rained. That gave her an excuse to put off running down for just a couple hours.......The ride down and the ride back takes longer then what she has to do..............Plus everything is unplugged, or turned off, so you really can't stay.
Blondie, sorry you got rained out, I'm sure y;ou were looking forward to a nice relaxing day. This is when its nice, before all the Shoebees come down...............I heard the renting season this year is going to be great............My son has a place over in North Wildwood, and his friend over there is rented for the whole season from Memorial Day to Labor Da;y..........Guess there is more money to spend then people realize..........
I lover it down there and can't wait to go. Maybe one day we can get together while we are there.
Hugs.
