LIFE'S A BEACH!

It is real. I believe it is a bird sanctuary. The first rabbit was already pregnant.
-
Birds? Did you say Birds? DH is already smiling.
I have one more beach walk this morning then I have to pack.
-
Maybe that could be your next trip, mum.
DB and SIL went to a local park and identified 18 species of birds in just a couple hours. I had no idea we had. So many. -
Hope your beach walk lasts a long time Mum. Safe travels!!
Faithie--I know Saint is smiling down on her girl. I pictured her smiling even bigger when I saw the little guy standing next to Cinderella with his arm OUT!! LOLOL.......kinda like he didn't know what to do with his arm:) CUTE!!
Hope all you beachies have a wondermous weekend!!
Pics are beautiful!!

duckyb1 I am in Folcroft, was in Drexel Hill today on my way to Haverford, lol...my family lives in the Villas and a friend of mine has a house at Holly Lake, she wants to go next weekend, I so want the rain to stop and the weather to change, omg...spring where are you???
-
What great pictures.
My day today at Indy conference was just so stellar. I was born in IN, so I pretend this is my homecoming, which of course it is, but it makes me smile to enjoy the concept of having roots.
Coonie, I had to scroll back to see your Cinderella picture reference and then I really did LOL! So cute that you noticed!
Beachies. I am now about 34 hours from getting on the first plane to head to Switzerland & picking up our rental car in Zurich. We got a confirmation today that our last host is having us stay in a small Italian village on the Mediteranian. I kid you not!!! Another email yesterday confirmed that we will take a two stop tour w me performing at both sites in Reggio, Italy!!!!! This is the massively awesome center of the world's focus on Arts for young children. TWO SITES!!!!
So who knows how 'connected' I'll be. Know that I will be thinking of you, sending love, smiling a lot, taking a million pictures, marveling at the wonder of this opportunity. Hopefully I'll get to snap a couple of pictures on the Italian shore!!!!
I'm so glad that you 'found' us Duckie. Marlegal is the queen of getting people together in real life, from this site --- so I know that you'll be meeting her in short order. Now with blondie you'll have a trio.
Duckie, choose your favorite pair of welcome flip-flops.
Beachies, be sure to extend a warm welcome to any & all who swing by the beach while I'm away. With all of these 'extra' flippers, I think this will be enough pairs for all new-combers.

Hi Blondie.........I had my mamms, repeat mam, ultrasound, BS, and biopsy done at Delaware County Hospital........Loved my surgeon, and had lumpectomy done on March 14th 2011...was fortunate that my tumor was only 1.1 cm.....no node involvement, good margins, so they said no Chemo, but Possibly radiation, and hormone........Was told the other day radiation could be an option......need to really think that over....don't want to take any chances, just to avoid it.
My home is right off of Township Line in Drexel Hill, and my home down the shore is between the Villas, and North Cape May....I know right where Holly Lake is, we pass it all the time when I'm down......My daughter is actually going down this Sunday to put the chemicals in the pool, probably for the last time........We usually open it the week before Memorial Day. I can't wait to get down there this season.......It was a rough winter, and then with the cancer news I think I am ready for it about now..........
Glad to find someone from my neck of the woods.........just sorry we had to meet like this, but these are some of the nicest women I have ever met.........take care, and hugs to you
-
All packed.
As organized as is possible.
Fly out in the morning.
Dreaming happy European beach dreams.
Everyone take care of each other.
Huge gentle hugs to all in need.

Faith, may the stories and the history of the old lands feed your soul. I'm looking forward to pics!! Start a thread!
How do you know how much product to take? Are you even taking any?
-
Faith, have a wonderful time! Looking forward to pix!!
-
have wonderful vacations ladies...
Ducky, welcome to the club you never wanted to be a part of.....I go to Crozer for everything.....my granddaughter's birthday party is next Saturday or I would be going down then, so maybe the following weekend....or just taking a ride down during the week, since I am retired....sort of....
and thanks for the flip flop pix it always makes me smile....
-
Hey Faith, I leave Wednesday for Europe..maybe we will pass in the night or air somewhere
-
Blondie..........I am retired too......I worked for 15 years for GlaxoSmithKline Pharm in Philly. 2 of my daughters are still there....However i do believe I am a lot older then you judging by your picture. I am 76 in 2 weeks.......Have been a widow for 19 years. My husband died of Pancreatic cancer in 1991.....The shore house was his dream and he only got to enjoy it for 6 years. I 6 children, 18 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.
I probably won't get down the shore till Memorial Day weekend....We have a college graduation on May 14th, and a bridal shower on May 22, both grandaughters, so you don't miss those events, not even for the shore..
My home is off of Bay Drive.......They call the area Cape May Beach (I heard its because we pay ridiculous taxes, so they want to be considered another little town of their own. Although we have a Villas zip code........
Well you enjoy yourself whenever you do get down, and maybe one day we will run into each other, either.
I had Dr. Mateluewski as my BS. Wonderful guy. My RO is going to be Markewitz, and the MO is Dr. Wolcott....Have a great Sunday, and wow enjoy the 80's tomorrow.

Ducky, I have friends and family galore in Drexel Hill!! Welcome to the Beach site - I'll send you a PM next time locals are gathering for lunch or dinner - we do that quasi-often.
Beachies, I spent the weekend with a BCO chat friend that I'd never met in person - what an awesome time we had in Baltimore, MD, kind of in the middle of where we live (she's in VA). Our hotel was right on the Harbor at Inner Harbor. They have Water Taxis to take you all around the harbor, one of those things where you can get on and off all day long at various spots for one price. That's how we spent Saturday and this is the view from directly across from our hotel. That Marriott you see right in the middle is where we stayed (for a song thanks to Priceline), and those glorious sailboats were directly out our door where we waited for the water taxi. Highly recommend to anyone in that area.
