BEACHIE BEACHIE BEACHIE BABES
I'm adding to the happy dance for our 3Jays!!!!!
I just opened my email and I have an email from the mayor of NYC!!!!!!!!
Do you remember me telling you that I sent a copy of my new picture book to him? The picture book is a tribute to 9-11.
Anyhow, he sent me an email!!!!!!!
I'm so excited to even think that it made it's way thru the office.
Here's the full greeting:
Dear Ms. Clement:
I was honored to receive your book, and I apologize for my long-delayed reply. On behalf of the City of New York, thank you for your compassion and concern for those affected by the events of September 11, 2001. The outpouring of support we have received from around the world has been a tremendous source of comfort for us all. Many thanks again for your kindness and best wishes.
Sincerely,
Michael R. Bloomberg
MayorHappy dancing!!! Happy dancing!!!!!
It's not exactly an invitation to perform on Times Square, but it's very exciting to have a greeting from him in acknowledgement.
I'm smiling ear-to-ear!!!!!
HAPPY FRIDAY everyone!!!!
-
Very nice Faith
-
Love your beautiful photos, everyone. Lisa, the mandarin ducks look so perfect, as if they are painted. Mum, the last pic is particularly stunning. I have never been to a body of water where there is snow on the shore. I love the blue and pink pastels.
Happy Dancing Friday for Faith and 3jays!!! Congratulations! Cheers to good news, and an exciting email from the mayor!!!

My internet speed is so slow here that I am making tiny pictures to upload. We enjoyed watching the whales playing yesterday.
-
That must have been an awesome sight, Meece. I love the work of Wyland and his whale murals. I remember visiting his gallery in San Francisco. It must be so inspiring to see a pod of them.
-
Meece, the migration goes on, I also saw some Canadian geese today heading northward
-
Tomorrow is a HUGE deal here on on San Diego's beaches and elsewhere..a parade of aircraft denoting 100 years of Naval Aviation...starting with the Blue Angels and ending with the air wing of the USS Stennis flying overhead...the parade has over 200 current and vintage aircraft in the air parade. Naval aviation started here in San Diego ..
-
We will be going and viewing it from the deck of the USS Midway museum moored permanently
at San Diego's waterfront..what a wonderous event
-
Mum I've never seen a beach with snow "sand" either. It's such a beautiful picture!
Meese sure wish I were there in Hawaii too. Had such a fun time in Maui a couple years back. The rainbows are magnificent!

Good Saturday morning, beachies.
We're off to Orlando for the day -- my first presentation in the state of FL, since our migration this direction. Today is a state conference for children with special needs, their families and teachers.
Chrissy, if I haven't mentioned it recently, I am so delighted at your wealth of vistas. Each one seemingly unique. Thank you so much for taking the time to share with all of us -- a world away.
Snow on the beach...... hmmmmmm. The photo was glorious, Mum.
Hope that everyone has a delightful Saturday.

Oh, Lisa, I meant to wish you well watching the "parade" of history. I'm sure that I've probably told that you that my husband served on the USS John F. Kennedy, which has since been de-commissioned. He was stationed in the Mediteranian and is looking forward to seeing Italy as a civilian.
Our SIL is in the Air Force and arrived home Thurs night from having been gone several weeks.... he deploys to Iraq at the end of the month, for a 3 month stint -- his longest away from da kiddies since their birth.

I have heard from our Curlieqs that her brain radiation treatment is underway already. If I've done my math correctly she's now had 3 treatments. She was grateful for beachie well wishes of support and prayers on her behalf. She said that she might stop through.
HI CURLIEQS!!!!! There are plenty of beach chairs for you to just sit and catch up with everyone at your leasure.
Pull up a chair.
We'll find someone to bring something nice to drink, after bit.
-
Lisa, that sounds like a spectacular show...I look forward to seeing your pics! Enjoy....
-
Meece - RE: whale...LIKE!!!
Lisa - PICS!!
Faith - have a great time!

Faith, I was at the christening of the USS Kennedy in 1967 I think..since I was a liaison
with the Senate we had to make sure it all went well...Jackie hit the bow with a bottle of Champagne..twice..first time didn't work...anyhow it ws the last of the non nuclear fleet
of carriers...hard to believe it is already decommissioned..
