Happy 3 years..

Great idea, Mum! A perfect day for a beach bbq!
Happy Super Bowl Sunday, Lisa! I'm not a huge team sports gal, but you never know what might happen with the Super Bowl....wardrobe malfunctions, awesome commercials, great halftime entertainment...have a great time watching!

I see some Navy guys who want
to join our party
-
Here they are
-
OMG we are getting so popular
-
-
-
JEEPERS CREEPERS, WHAT DID WE START????
-
-
Wow, Lisa!!! I think those guys will hold up to inspection. No pecker peeping toms, and hair on their chests!
They sure are coming in by the droves, by sea, land, and air!!! Wooooo hoooooooo!!!
They look like they probably worked up an appetite getting here! More meat on the grill! And beer!!! Meat and beer!!! Come and get it, guys!
-
omg what football game I am a little distracted.Must be all that red meat
-
MissBianca you took the words out of my mouth about hairy chests and eyes straight ahead - lol!!! I think I've had at least half of those beers at one time or another, now I'm working my way through the wine world
Have an awesome week ahead my friends.
-
The grill's all fired up & it appears that we will be kept quite safe for our continued festivities as they unfurl and unfurl some more.
So who's watchin' da BIG bowl game??
We are being beseeged with text messages & email from our WI peeps.
Fun times.
I had some dear friends pick me up and take me to a juried art fesival a ways down the road. I am still a-buzz with having seen such an array of awesome work.
There were seriously scads of professional photographs of Italy. It became a joke after awhile. I am getting so psyched!!!!
Have I told you that I now have an invitation to conclude my tour in Pisa? I'm hoping we can then travel to the COAST of Italy!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!??!!!! This is the late breaking news. Since it is at the end of my responsibilities I'm hoping that we can have some genuine time to explore!!! ON THE COAST!!!!!
Have I mentioned that I'm genuinely starting to get excited??
Here's an appropo series I caught at the beach earlier this week.
I would like extra credit for combining the beach and current events:

the Lakes are the best too, I just love Lake Orta
and Como and Maggiore

-
Faith I have been to Pisa you must have a picture holding up the tower.Italy is my favorite european country. We have gone back 3 times now.Rome and Florence are cities you must visit.I will see if I can find a photo of Pisa.
-
I was in Italy for 8 weeks after college. I had an Italian Exchange student live with me my senior year and I stayed with her family in Florence. We went everywhere. Florence is A-One! I also loved Sienna, Arrezzo (sp), San Giminato, and Venice. Rome was OK but I loved northern Italy.
-
Pisa Italy infront of famous leaning tower.
-
Lisa beautiful shots I have never been to that part of Italy.
-
Rome almost 10 years ago did not have the expensive cameras yet.
-
Watch the gypsies all over Italy. My husband put his backpack down near the leaning tower and the gypsies were getting it while he took a photo but a workman stopped them. Don't put anything down that isn't attached to something. When I sit in a station with the suitcases, I tie all the handles together with a strap so if one is picked up they all are. Same idea in restaurants..good to be careful..We had some time to kill in the Milan reilroad station and I watched the gypsy mothers teaching their kids to rip people off..very interesting.
-
PS, I am with you Barbara, Northern Italy is the best, same with Spain
-
You have to watch out for the birds and cats there, too...very sneaky! Don't take your eyes off your ice cream, and don't fall for cute kitties at your doorstep!
-
My DD leaves for Alba Italy (it's Medford's sister city) on March 12. she & 28 other High School students from various Medford High Schools were chosen by application & interview to go. We have been in the throes of fundraising! There will be an auction/dinner on Feb 27 & there is a raffle in progress to win an iPad! Tickets are $1-if any of you want to try your luck, pm me & I'll send you my address to send $$ & I'll send you tickets. Drawing will be the night of the 27th.
Bottom line-I'm so jealous of her I could spit. Italy is where I've ALWAYS wanted to go!
-
Ephie, I'll buy a few tickets for the cause. That's gotta be hard, to not be able to go, too.
When she's there, may I suggest treating yourself to the best Italian restaurant in town, buying some nice Italian shoes or a purse, and buying some Andrea Bocelli CDs. You can dream you are being serenaded on a gondola through Venice...
Oh, here's some fine art to get you in the mood...
-
MissBianca-I'm so happy you joined the beach!
