Hi Beachies! I just got off the phone with my doctor and she says she thinks the spasms that I had for 6 straight hours the night of my chemo were due to the neulasta shot they gave me because my white blood counts were almost non-existent. She thinks the swollen neck is a reaction with the contrast and next time I have contrast they will give me steroids beforehand. She says all the new mouth sores that I have grown in the last few days is because the neulasta has not kicked in all the way. And she thinks that the reason the room spins when I walk around is that I need more fluids. In conclusion, she wants to keep me on the Navelbine because she thinks that I need to have 2 rounds for it actually to be able to work. I just finished round 1 this week, so she is going to reduce my ongoing doses so that I hopefully will not need any more Neulasta shots. After 2 rounds, she will rescan me in April and see what my tracheal tumor is doing then. If it is working, more Navelbine, if not, possbily rads. She does not want to do rads now because she thinks the side effects are too severe for a poor little girl like me who does not have a pound to spare.
Right before she called, I thought I would get out of bed and have a look around downstairs and in my yard. Brilliant idea-not. By the time I climbed back up to bed, I felt like I had been run over by a semi. But now I am feeling better again, after being in bed for 20 minutes!
Thanks for all the support and prayers, Beachettes!
-
Hugs Toy. Glad your Dr. got back to you and so long as you are satisfied with the explanation that's good. I just hope you have a good sleep tonight. We will stand over you and take care of you while you sleep. I don't sleep well anyway so I'll take the middle of the night watch. Thanks for letting us know how you are. One step at a time gf.
Checkum, where are you?
Coonie, I do not like green eggs and ham and I do not like to FLY!!! Could you arrange another mode of transport?
Ahhh, now this looks much safer ?
-
Oh TOY I am so glad that some divine intervention has jumped in to Help.....what ever helped or WHO? I know I will keep doing what I have been Doing.....The end result is that You are feeling better.....Beyond that we will see.....Still Keeping the Prayers going on for You & All that Need!
Spar......I'm so sorry you have lost a classmate from School & so fast. You are so right you never know.....as I found out a few weeks ago that our class president died this past summer of melenoma. He was not a sun worshiper either.
Coonie......YOU GO GIRL.....I'm glad no more appointments for the time being.....Now you get to do what YOU wanna DO! You & YOUR Cabanana boy Go Celebrate!!!!
I'm gonna expand on the Food Thing Now.......With a RECIPE.....Sorry No Pizza!
This one is for JAZZ but ALL can Enjoy the Simpleness of it!
One medium SWEET ONION......Cut in Wedges
One RED PEPPER.......Cut in Strips...or Big Chunks....Bit Size
One package of HILLSHIRE FARMS SMOKED TURKEY SAUSAGE.......Cut in Round Slices.
Chopped Canned Tomatoes......Flavored with Garlic & Onion....Your Preference.
Or some Spagetti Sauce about a Cup.....This part is your preference as I Use a little of Each Or you could Use More.....
I use NO ADDED SALT OR PEPPER
Saute' the onions & Peppers in Light Olive Oil not much or you can use Pam. For about 3 to 5 Minutes then add the Sausage & Cook another 5 to 10 minutes till the Sausage is lightly Brown...& heated Well through. If you like your Onions & Peppers more Crunchy then cook the Sausage First for a Few Minutes or Throw it All in together...Then add the Sauce & cook 5 more Minutes. I toss this over Pasta & ENJOY! Smells Wonderful! Tastes Even Better! Easy No Fuss!
I know you might be going PASTA.....MY WEIGHT....or Problems with Diabetes....Well I use the Barilla Plus Pasta in the Yellow Box.....it is a High fiber pasta And 1 Cup fills me & I don't have the Crash of the hungries an Hour after. I use the Cork Screw shape....It really is great.
Play around with it see what you like. There is no Wrong Way to Cook this.
If you are well orgainized in the Kitchen You can have it on the Table in a 1/2 hour! Done!
Enjoy Beachies.....Hugs All Around it's back to work tonight so this Might be it for me for the night! ((((((((((((((((((((((((GROUP HUGS))))))))))))))))))))))

I am sitting here thinking how great the simple things in life are - like this cup of dark chocolate sensational cup of hot chocolate I am drinking right now. Make it simple, make it good. enjoy everything and praise the Lord for it.

This Beach is were God puts alot of good people,
Without all these wonderful beach people, it would be alot
harder to stay strong. There is so much love shared
on this beach, No one goes without a hug or two.
Sometimes theres a picnic or a laugh, Othertimes
there are fears or alot of tears. But together we are
a family on the beach, Fighting the same fight
and with Faith we will win. God bless you .
-
Good morning Beachettes.
Is Checkum caught up in that terrible storm along the eastern coast?
Toy, hope you are feeling a wee bit better this morning.
I missed all the pizza.........it looked good except for the piece the squirrels got from Faith.
Faith, you gotta watch your language gf. LOL.
Beach hugs to all. Lets have some tea, coffee, chocoa or whatever as we watch the sun come up on another day.
We'll sit here....
-
Hi all,
I am here - we got burried again yesterday. I was having an "I don't feel like it" day yesterday. Sun is back out today- so all is well.
I will take that chair on the right
-
Checkum. So glad to see you & know that the sun has come up in your world today. Go with the flow. Ups and downs are inevitable (not sure that is spelled correctly: LOL) but they're bound to come.
Sharon. So lovely of you to set up the table...... looks like you were up BRIGHT and early.
Have my aerobics pants on must go find the other accessories: namely socks & shoes. Today's the longer format class -- where she really runs us ragged. AND we have a community dance tonight, on a Tuesday night of all things?? I'll be so confused the whole rest of the week as to what day it is.
Toyful hope that your body readjusts and that the contrast is leaving your system.
Footie you are our patron saint of the beach -- tying us all together.
Dream: sending you some hope for the day. Thinking of you always.
Everybody else, A to Z know just how much you mean to me!! Just going with the top of the list on this post.
Be well. Stay strong. Laugh loud..... all day long.
-
Just wanted to wish everyone a glorious day. Make it count - live it to the fullest.
Spread God's love to all those you see.....
mary Jo
