Lovely day today in our neighborhood.

Beautiful roses Lisa.

Well, thankfully someone gives us roses.
-

-
Lisa, I love red roses.
-
Hi girlies...
Had my last date with the red devil today. CHEMO is DONE!!! My white cells were just (by .1) high enough to have treatment. Well this phase of the journey is over - YAHOO...
Going back to lay down - stomach is icky - head is icky --- i am icky....

Puppies win your hearts so fast.
-
Checkum---what a great accomplishment. No more red devil!! whoot hoot!!!! The icky feeling will start to ease up soon, I hope and pray! gentle hugs and prayers going your way!!!
-
Congrats to Checkum!! whooooooooooooohoooooooooooooooo
so glad to hear that you've already experienced some relieft, Coonie. I've had to have PT for two different issues since my dx (neither really connected to the dx) and both times they literally saved my sanity. they are healers in our very midst.
You'll be happy to know that I did indeed stop today and "smelled the roses" by watching history unfold right before my very eyes. As you may remember, my dad shares the very day of his birth with MLK -- and perhaps because of that, my father brought us up to work for justice..... I remember "walking" in the civil rights marches when I was in elementary school. To think that my dad has lived to see this day, when MLK watches from above, was enough to bring to tears repeatedly.
What a new era.................... will continue watching tonight as things unfold.
-
Beautiful pic Lisa. As always.
Checkum, this might be a little over the top.........but........
-
-
-
Checkum...... when you're feeling better & you get back here to the beach, you'll see we're all here cheering for you:
-
Cheering continues:
-
Whoa........... what's he been taking??
-
Congratulations Checkum!!!!
Can I just say one thing? I've been thinking about this all day and it has gotten so bad I just want to scream.
I realize I was complaining in August about being in the bowels of Hades with the 100 degree temperatures but this is just too freakin cold. Can't we find something in between icycle blue and face melting heat?. I am freezing my tush off and if I turn my heat up any higher, I will need to take out a small loan. Enough already!!
Thank you for listening....I now return you to your regularly scheduled beach fun.
-
Congrats Checkum !!!!!!!!!!!! I know how it feels to get to the end of that journey. Will you have Rads too?
Lisa, beautiful pictures. In fact I love all our pictures here on our beach, and the fact that we share all the joy and the pain together.
Faith I was right there with you as I watched our nation change. As our new president spoke I felt pride in the USA. I also felt Gods presents. Which touched me.
I pray that the little children grow up knowing they can achieve great things if they put forth the effort. And that the color of ones skin has nothing to do with weather you are deserving or not.
I remember way back when my church had a balcony for blacks. Even as a child I felt it was wrong. Our church never used it in the years I went there, but just knowing the history of it's purpose upset me. I was no more than maybe 7 when I learned about the use of the balcony. ( That church burned down and one was built without the balcony)
I can still remember feeling very sad . And I was seeing this through a child's eyes. I have never liked people hurting others because of there differences . I just always have loved people.
Sorry to go on and on...........I'm a very high spirited person. And I'm a talker.( Boy that is an understatement...LOL)
Who knows, one of our granddaughters may be the first woman to achieve the job of commander and chief. I hope I live to see that history. But she must be the right woman. And I'm sure she will come.
Today I felt at peace.......

Hi girlies...
Thank you for all of the well wishes and encouragement. I am up taking my meds and drinking a bit of water.
Coonie/Sharon - hope the arms are doing better.
It sounds like I picked a good day to be out of the office for treatment as they did a 30% cut yesterday (depressing). The good news is it wasn't me. Bad news is some people I admire got whacked --- ahhhh signs of the times I gues - everybody is struggling.
Coonie - glad you got the other book (that one is yours -not to pass out -- if I ever get famous you can sell it for big bucks !! LOL)
Too tired to find beautiful pics and all --- just wanted to checkin and say HI and thanks for all the support!
-
A new day dawns, it is special, like all the rest.
-
Like each day, you are all special too.
-
Hugs to all.
-
Good morning everybody! Hope you all had a restful night.....enjoy the beach today! I know I will
-
Let bring out our sand toys to build a castle..........SOMEBODY has a birthday
T-O-M-O-R-R-O-W !!!!
-
The party could be held here. It looks big enough!
-
Here's a cake that looks semi-healthy
Since our birthday girl is trying to eat better
