LOL, Thanks but collage was done by photobucket. I changed my avatar to a sunny place.....
-
Nice to see you Mary-Lou. I will come and sit with you. We can watch that sail boat.
The lunch gathering will be SO neat Faith. I can't wait for you to tell us all about it. Will you be able to take pics?
Faith, aren't you supposed to be relaxing. I hope you've got an easy curtain idea.
-
Good morning beachies! Can I watch the boats too?
and maybe do a little people watching too...
and maybe even be a "watch dog"
-
Hahaha, Coonie. But of course you may join us. I do hope you clean up the beach after those dogs though. Ha, I shudder to think the mess those horses left on the beach the other day.
Here, I'll help you with the cleanup and then we can relax.
-
Good Afternoon Beachettes...
This is what we can do on our end of the Beach.....
But with the real Stuff....White & Extra fluffy
A light snow I didn't know about has begun. I checked the weather forcast & we are only supposed to get 1-2......Well we have a little more than an inch now....I think the weather man is wrong about this one.....Still is coming down good.
I'm off to sleep & stopped in to Wave with the Waves
So from A to Z & everyone in between......Checkum, Coonie, Faith, Foots, Jazz, Lisa, Marylou, Sahalie, Sharon, & Spar!! Sorry if I missed any betweeners.
Have a good day Beachies....
-
Hugs Julz, hope you have a grand day too.
Sliding in the sand? Mmmm, different.
-
whooooooooooooohoooooooooooooo it's working!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
making progress!
this idea has been in my head for so long, it's good to get it outta there.
sand sliding!! some of you will remember Saint posting pictures of her kids doing just that down a HUGE incline.
back to work.............
-
Faith, so what does your DH do while on holiday. Build a garage?
Take a rest already.
Relax just a wee bit and smell the flowers.
-
Faith on holiday........
Me on a holiday.....
-
lolololol !!!!!
yeah Faith-----you need to stop and smell the roses girl!
I bet Faith does projects in her sleep. She's a busy little bee. Wish I was in Florida too..........I would help you make your house a "home"
Hope everyone had a great day on the beach. I go for PT at 7:30 AM sharp in the morning for lymphedema and boy, am I scaaaarreedddd..........it's goonnnnaaaa hurt!!!
-
Coonie, it's good you are going. I'm anxious to hear how you make out.
And that dog needs to go on a diet. Sheesh, what am I saying? I should go on a diet. Hehehe.
-
Hey Sharon ---- I thought about you today. I was in a drive thru at McDonald's and the lady behind me had a dog hanging out her window.....big beautiful black lab. she was talking pretty loud and she ordered a "nuuumbeerrr 10 with a diet coke and a haaammburrgggerr." I figured the hamburger was going to doggus
He was really looking forward to it too:)
I may be calling for a life raft tomorrow morning.
-
OK you two!! First of all I think I led you astray. This is NOT a "holiday" nor a "vacation" of any sort. Never had that concept what-so-ever. My husband works EVERY day, from where ever we are. He can run his empire from his laptop...... so this is just a chage of scenery out the window.
Eventually, I will attempt to find "work" (invitations) to local schools down here.... and we'll both just 'work' from here -- everything we do up north, just without the snow.
So that's why everything was wired for internet before we had a bed. Seriously.
I got the curtains done AND ironed!!!! I've gotta download pics. I'll put them on my blog and you can all peek over my shoulder.
Gotta go see if there's any news about folks & Friday.
-
sharon
Look what was peeking through for real today..right here
-
They are beautiful Lisa. I love spring flowers, even dandelions.
Faith, gosh, well at least that explains your business!! I wonder though, do you/could you ever slow down. On my busiest day I could never keep up to you.
Coonie, a raft? Was that a joke or are you having water problems. Hope it's a joke. And WHAT were you doing at McDonald's?
Wishing all smooth sailing today. (((((Checkum)))))
Faith I meant business as in busy"ness", being really busy not business as in your work.
-
Thanks Sharon!
((((((((((((((((((BIG HUGS))))))))))))))))))))))))))
-
Hang in there girl........
-
LOL--- cute
-
and you say you are not a geek --- where do you find all the stuff???
-
Hahaha, I can spell "Google".
Edit to say, you are the one with the blinky eyes.
-
-
Ya - that would be me LOL - then I fall on my head
-
Nah, I think they ALWAYS land on their feet.
-
Morning beachettes!! Today is paint the dresser day!! This is an old, but certainly not antique, hand-me-down dresser that had been my parents original furniture when they married over 50 years ago. They gave the set to me when I was in my single-parent/no furniture/no means era.
It was then given to Sarah & Scott when they set up their first place. Well, we've got it back again!! It's been painted numerous times and today it's going to be painted BLACK.
I put up some pics of my wild curtains on my blog: www.rainbowswithinreach.blogspot.com you can go take a peek (or just sit and watch snow melt, perhaps equally as exciting LOL)
I'll attempt to show you before and after on the dresser as well.
I think I also forgot to tell you that I'm decorating this house (the southern office extension) BOLD. Seriously BOLD. Lots of color (eventually) on a palet of black and white. So far we mostly have the b & w pieces in place.
DH had a 15 year plan when we met. He'd just built a brand new BIG house in a very desirable suburb -- back when we met. There was more than enough room for the yours & mine show to unfold, with everyone having their own space.
Anyhow, the deal from the outset was that in 10 years we'd sell the BIG house, with the goal of having two much smaller places. So that's what we've done. We built our little home on a very nice cul-de-sac of a 'lesser' suburb if that makes sense, very near his office & the warehouse.
So now we've got the second phase of the plan in motion: the southern/warmer place. Let me also clarify that there is absolutely NO water/beach/shore anywhere close by. We're in the middle of the state (where things are still affordable.... and where there were HUGE incentives to build.)
Now you have the 'rest of the story.'
A man with a plan!!
Off to get my paint project "organized."
-
Awwhhh Faith---it's so nice to get the best of both worlds........cold snow and warm sunshine:) That is truly a blessing, huh?
Hey checkum......good to see you at the beach today:)
Sharon, I'm jealous if you're getting to see some new puppies
are you gonna get one? Oh! I went to McDonald's to get WATER
lol - hehehe
Had my appt with the PT guy this morning about my lymphedema. It wasn't as bad as I thought. He did a massage and wrap and it feels soooooo much better already!!! Should have done this a long time ago. DH is going with me Thursday to learn how the massage and wrap goes.
I think I'm gonna just sit and rest awhile on the beach....hope everyone has a great evening!
-
Hey Checkum---------
I just got my mail today and THANK YOU!!
For those of you that don't know, our very own Checkum has written a book. You should really check it out. It's great!!
-
Anyone know how to play a DVD on a computer. I got the Lebed DVD for LE and can't figure out how to play it. I know, we are the only people in N.A. without a DVD player.
-
sorry I don't know much about computer stuff. Whenever I've had a DVD, I just put it in the DVD slot in the computer and it walks me through. ??
did you get some puppy sugars Sharon?
-
Oh man Coonie, they were pretty cute little puppers. Only 4. I'm not quite ready yet but another litter due within days. Then that will be it from this breeder (who I know) for a while I think. Dh is having a shitfit.
-
The DH's s**tf*t won't last long......they run out of that pretty quick. Just break down and get doggus a brother or sister
:):)
