CELEBRATE GOOD TIMES, GOME ON!!!!
Celebrate good times, come on............................ (where's someone to post the music???)
I've just walked into my house and number 37 is safely locked into the vault!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We have the entire project mixed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and I'm home before midnight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I come back and there's some serious Hearty-Party underway. WOWOW.
I'm tooooooooooooooo tired to open my eyes for too many more minutes.......... but it's so terrific to see some of the ol' beach comber crowd returning to the splash of friendship. We're so much stronger when we're all here together, sharing our unique gifts, our unique talents.
Tonight as we were mixing #35 -- all of the pieces started to fall into place. Several of you were beachside last summer, when I was under the wire to 'write' these songs. I had a very hard time writing the song entitled "Family and Friends" and I sought advice here at the beach. I pondered, I edited, I considered, I revised, I rewrote, I started over.
well tonight as we pulled the arrangement into order I got so completely choked up....... it is incredible, simply incredible. i'm so proud of the lyric, so thrilled with the arrangement, the children sound like angels...... it's really got "legs" and potential. and i started to cry. and once the tears started they just kept coming.
my dear friend and sound engineer knew that i was moved beyond words. so we decided to send me out to get ice cream...... he just couldn't handle that level of raw emotion. and then while out, i called the man who wrote the music and crafted the arrangement to thank him. he thought i'd been in an accident or something -- it was hard to understand me thru the tears, but i was thanking him for lending his amazing talent to my effort.
i think i can, i think i can, i think i can................
"Family and friends. Friends and family, learning together building one community.
Family and friends. Friends and family, learning together building one community.
I live with my family, that's who loves and cares for me.
We live together, in every sort of weather, they encourage and support me
That's what makes us family.
Chorus
Friends and I play happily. Friends are kind and share with me.
We learn together, in every sort of weather, they encourage and support me
and we build community."
I can't wait for you to hear it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
must go before i turn into a pumpkin.
Thanks for holding me up to the finish line.

Awwwhhh....what a beautiful song, Faith. I'll need to get a copy when they're done. My DD would love it for her classroom. Mr. Hot Flash woke me up bright and early, but I just drank some milk, so hopefully, I'll be able to get some more sleep before the night is over. So glad you wrapped up. I know you're ready for the sunny banks of Sweet Florida real soon. Goodnight sweet friends.....all around the board from North to South and from East to West.....sleep peacefully!
-
Faith........can't wait to hear it!!! Congrats on such a beautiful accomplishment. I'm truly busting at the seams for you......
-
-
Wow, that is awesome Faith. All done! Florida time!!!!! Sharon tried to hide your flip flops but I found them and put them back into your suitcase. On to the next adventure. I'll be back with some music after I get the coffee started.
-
Oh heck, here they are Faith. And they will be perfect to wear with that lovely outfit I found for you earlier either for the party or your trip to Florida.
-
Hey hey...here we go...time to celebrate some good times
-
Had to laugh watching the video...can you really have enough gold chains and white patent leather shoes??!
-
What video?
Edit to say, I'm a dork.........didn't see the link.
-
Found some more flip flops. These aren't as fancy so would be for just for everyday use.
-
No worries Sharon. There is a way to give a text labe to links here. Just type the text you want to DISPLAY, then hightlight the text and select the 'insert link' icon from the toolbar and past your link into the pop up box. Instead of the cryptic looking url, you will see the text you want people to see instead.

Where is everyone this morning? Do you need a wakeup call?
-
I woke up in time to take my weary self to church. Where I sat and cried some more.
Such a good thing, these tears of weariness, exhaustion, completion and celebration all rolled into one......... I'm guessing there may still be a few left (tears that is.)
The first three songs that were sung in the service had a lyric about "singing your song" or "raising your voice to write your song" or "singing thru the pain" .............. Like someone got inside of my head, just prior to the service.
Here's where I'm headed as soon as I grab those 'everyday" flip-flops
Must remember to pack sunscreen!!
Thanks Jaz for getting my little celebration going. Julz did her best in your absence, but it's so good to have you back on board. (Sharon, the woman is a techno-queen...... she can walk you thru ANYthing.) So glad that you were pulling our leg and that your car is still servicable!!
Now the whole day to get ready for departure!!
-
Faith, can I come with you?
Sahalie!
Welcome home!
Will somebody pass me the sunscreen and get the cabana boy here to service me please?
-
angelhere * You look wonderful.
Thank you very much for the "Welcome home."
-
Sahalie, likewise. I literally grinned ear to ear when I saw you back at the Beach and I could not stop smiling. I just had to stop by to say Hello! I'm so glad you had such a wonderful trip. Thanks for the sunscreen, that sounds heavenly. I'll make a note to get that kind next time I buy it. I'm not as fair as you but I do have freckles and have had skin cancers so I too must be very careful in the sun to not burn! I also have an upcoming onc appt. on the 27th which I'm just a bit anxious about. Enjoy your farmola today. btw, I'm 17 and sitting at the beach in my pic, getting fried by the sun ... I can't believe I used no. 4 sunscreen back then! Hugs and Love to you.
Beach Joy
-
Gosh, us old goats used NO sunscreen. In fact we used baby oil all over hoping it would attract the rays. How silly we were back then?
-
Come on girls, we gotta get ready for the birthday party.
-
So, we gotta get dressed up a little.
-
Get out our flip flops.
