Coonie. I think you may be mixing up our birthday girls. Celia just celebrated at the end of last month....... I think that it's Mary Lou that's coming up next. Celia probably doesn't mind a little extra costumery, to be attributed to her.
Friends. I'm just getting home from marathon day #1 of mixing. Have the studio reserved all day tomorrow, as well. CRAZINESS.
We had so many computer glitches today. Pulling our hair out wouldn't help. Eating my fingernails didn't make a difference either. So it was grin, bear it and then plow on ahead.
Somehow we persisted long enough to knock out another eight pieces. We still have 11 left. They include the seven BIG ones/complex/many harmonies. YIKES YIKES YIKES!!
We have several that have to be repaired, to make it to the mastered copy. It's so gosh, darn crazy to attempt to keep this many arrangements moving forward.
SPAR welcome home, indeed!!!
jas...... will have to check out the Suze when I can keep my eyes open.
Honest, I'm not ignoring the rest of you buds. Just honestly can't think straight.
I do LOVE the cow, coonie. Sharon, please shop for me, while you're at it!!
Julz: love.
Footie: prayers.
Dream: where are you.
Wings: we're missing you. (I saw her post on the MI thread, so she's OK.)
Checkum: work? and author-ness?? Multi-tasking for real.
ok. who am i missing??

Well duuuhhhhh!!!!!!!! You would think I've been through chemo or something..............sorry Mary-Lou. You know the whole time I was thinking MARY-LOU and typing CELIA! Please forgive me.
-
LOL @ Coonie....not to worry ....there's a whole board full of people who understand perfectly where you are coming from.
Well, it looks like all the beach babes are snuggled in safe and warm. Did you find something to smile about today? Did you find some joy?
-
Coonie ~ Hope is right. We all understand. And I have just been passing through when I can. I'm so busy with work, kids and other stuff that I don't have time to just be.
My job may be coming to an end also. The owner may be shutting down the coffee shop that I manage. Times are hard. And my husband will be laid off soon after 19 years service.
I'm so glad to be the age I am, I don't think I could make it with small children.
I want to send a big hug to EVERYONE! If I had to remember all our names, I would still be here tomorrow trying to type them all. LOL
I really miss the mind I had before, I was the one who knew the information. Now I'm lucky to remember to take my meds . And if I do try to engage in a intelligent conversation, it is so stressful, because I know something is going to come out making me look stupid. So I have to pick my words very carefully.
But I'm here and I'm enjoying the important things....and that is what live is about.
Lets go to Cancun today
-
MaryLou these are for you!! From Chemo-brain Coonie
So, would you like to spend your birthday in Cancun?
-
Hey Coonie!! Good morning!! What are you doing up? HOT FLASH melted my brain............
See, all is forgiven and already forgotten.
Blame it on the 'swiss cheese' mentality that BC creates in all of us!!
I've got the deck chairs straightened out..... let's all meet when the sun comes up.
Mary Lou...... I am so sorry to hear about your DH's work situation...... and your own, too. Will this mean early retirement, or will you each be able to find other opportunities? My prayers will be more specific about your current situation. Thank you for sharing with us.
Beachie babes, these are precarious times. Let us join hands and focus on the gifts that we have. The resources that are available and the potential in each of us.
Splash together in the sun.

Faith, I found the perfect birthday party frock for you.
-
What a fashion statement!
-
It might be a little dressy but WTH, lets throw caution to the wind. Speaking of wind. She could take off if we get a good breeze. Oh well, Faith said she loved to fly a kite on another thread so in this thing, hell, she could become a kite.
-
I guess this is out of the ? Today! LOL!
-
Oh Julz, is that you on the beach in your avatar? You look so.......life like. hehehehe.
-
Just Perfect! Sharon! I won't ever Get A Zit or any thing! Tee Hee!
-
Mary Lou Big Hugs to You!!! It is Very HARD! Sometimes it just helps to come & Let your worries be washed away with the Waves & have some carefree moments. Some virtual breaks from it all!
So Beachies I'm doing a Jazz thing today & giving you all the Song of the Day! If we can just sit back & take a few Minutes to forget ALL the stuff thats weighing Heavily on our Minds, Souls, Body's & Spirits! This put a Smile on my Face & some Lightness in my Heart this morn. If I didn't have a little Sillyness in my Day Sometimes all I could do is Cry....
Enjoy Beach Shells....
-
Good morning Beach babes. Julz, I love that song. Be happy, don't worry. That's easier said than done these days. Mary Lou, so sorry about the job situation. I see we have lots of laughter and joy to start the day on the beach.
-
-
Oh my goodness, they are showing flood pictures from Washington State. Are all our Washington ladies safe and dry?
-
Jazz I was Just seeing a little of it too. How Horrible for Everyone there! I hope Foots is OK. I'm not sure who else live there....
-
I think Foots is okay but lots are not. How sad.
-
Just got back from appts that I was SO worried about and all went well. Today I feel blessed and am ready for the beach.
Whoops, in my haste to get here I forgot to put my clothes back on after the exam.
Edit to say, I also forgot to add a little fat.
-
this was painted on the wall of the restaurant today..
-
Is this a cool place for lunch or what.
-
Awwhhh Lisa that picture is really cool! Thanks for thinking of the beachies and posting it here.
I do believe I was up before Faith and Sharon this morning. I had a hot flash come knocking on my door around 3:00 am....and I just could not go back to sleep
Soooooooooooo.....I finished reading a very good book by our very own Checkum!!!! Everybody should read it. We have a very special lady on our boards.....a true hero......a winner.....a fighter.....an inspiration....oh ya'll just get the book "Out of the Fog" a true story by Cindy Lou Young (Checkum). I'm so impressed and mighty proud to be your "sister".
This is a beautiful sunset in Cancun.....that's where the party's gonna be, right? Did someone say that Foots was having flooding problems. I need to click over to the other thread and see about her. I sure hope she's ok. Sharon.....what appt did you have. So glad everything is ok. Take a load off when things are alright, huh?? Faith....are you stttiiiiiillllllllllll recording? I've been praying that everything will come together the way you want it to. Julz you got the perfect little body girl. And Sharon laying out there plum naked, but of course, if I looked that good, I might too
Is Spar working or is she still sick? Come back Spar.
-
Good evening Beach babes. Yahoo, its officially the weekend. Sharon, fantastic news on the doc appointment. Why are you nekkid???! Lisa, gorgeous pictures. Coonie, looks like you've gotten the beach party started for us. I guess Faith is still in her marathon recording session. I bet she's gotten all the rest of her tracks finished and is ready to start packing for Florida. Spar, probably had to go to work.
Julz, how are you and the hubby doing? Mary Lou, Chekum, Celia, where are you party babes?
I had to run pick up my new glasses this afternoon. Each year they have to bump up the script and I'm afraid that I'm going to end up looking like Mr. Magoo by the time my eyes finally finish aging. Traffic was a mess as usual for Friday getting off work traffic. I was doing okay until I pulled off the freeway and suddenly I lost control of my car. No matter which way I turned the steering wheel the car wouldn't respond. I hung on and prayed for the best. When the car finally came to a stop and I opened my eyes, I found myself in the drive thru window of Arby's. I was so relieved that I ordered a super roast beef sandwich, a large order of curly fries, and a medium jamocha shake!
Boy, was it good. I guess I can start my diet tomorrow, right?! Well, that was my joy for the day. Plus, I really like my new glasses.
-
Here's Spar and her cousin Scar
Maybe they're planning Mary-Lou's party.
-
Spar and Scar...too funny!
-
just walked in the dooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooor................
progress is sooooooooooooooooo slow. today we had every possible techno-snaffu we'd ever encountered, plus other mysteries as well. power outage knocked out a major system, in addition to other nonsense.
in spite of all the frustrations we persevered: I think I can, I think I can.
we got 5 new pieces mixed, so we're up to 31!!!! "only" 6 more to go...... they are all the long ones, complete with the children tracks plus the background singer-tracks
we have all day tomorrow....... may need to also grab up Sunday, as needed. my engineer would like to go on a date, so we'd have to meet seriously early...... we have Monday to do the mastering...........
holy cow. i can't believe how close to the wire this is falling........
love seeing all the joy here on the shoreline
