LIFE'S A BEACH!

The spammers were back yesterday also? Do they have nothing better to do with their lives???
Good afternoon beach babes. I'm at work, so not much time to post.
Lisa, those iris's were gorgeous. One of these days I'm going to plant some in front of my house.
Good to see you Jaz. Try not to get too busy.
Faith, yes I enjoyed the bugs in the teeth pic. You haven't lived til you've been smacked in the face with a big, juicy bug. Yuck!
Sahalie, there is no feeling like being on a bike, in the more rural areas. No cars, just you, your hubby and your bike. It is exhilerating. I do hate being in traffic. The people in the cars just don't see you.
A big hello to Wings, Footprints, Margo, Celia, Shrink, and anyone else I missed.

so glad to see folks rolling outta their cabanas, was taking a lovely siesta here (not)
let's start an afternoon yoga session at the beach. who want's to join?
Jaz: I meant to tell you how I loved the little ballerinas performing the bunny hop..... have no idea when you posted that, but it really made my day -- whenever it was i stumbled into it
Janny: We leave this time next week for our hiatus up north (where our big green bike is stored) and hearing your description just makes me all the more eager to get roaring up and down our scenic hills, zooming around the lakes, soaring thru the pines..... no traffic, no cars -- just the two of us
Sahalie: can't wait to see what turns up in the junk hunt........ i love things that are worn with age and love.....I have a pair of old Amish handmade dollies that are old favorites..... have a collection of antique IRON Santas that's a hoot of weight and tarnish....... etc etc. most of those 'oldies' are packed away for now -- as we're living in our down-sized Contemporary home
Lisa: what great pics are ya gonna share next? please send more of that darling grand daughter. i love to see faces of children!!
Wingers: what's the craft project for today? snack? thinking of you with the kids........... or maybe you've ditched them and are riding the Harley
Footie: lemonade for you today darling..... always willing to help others...... everyone here at the beach is sending you our surplus energy -- to tide you over
Celia: hugs to you my dearest, can't wait till you get back here to the beach, waiting paitently -- as best I can any way
Margo: have the Little Leaguers captured you? send up a flyby with a quick update
Shrink: congrats on making it to the 2 week mark...... those first few days are the trickiest LOL
-
Sahalie..these are for you even tho I didn't do this one...
faith this is my grandson
and granddaughter
-
oooooooooooooooooooooohhhhhhh lisa!!
may i have special permission to use the pic above of your grandson in my professional power point presentation? i have written a song about lions (for which i am becoming famous for, in the midwestern early childhood circle.)
currently in my PPP i am using a magnificent slide of a 'real' lion...... but there's sort of a punch line to the song, when the lion finally roars and this picture would be the PERFECT conclusion.
will you check with the parents and see if they agree? it would be shown about the countryside to teachers at conferences.
thanks in advance.

Lisa. I love the daisies. As I do all your flowers etc.
You little grans are so adorable.
Hi Faith! So you're getting on a motorcycle too? I am so deprived.
So how many does that make who ride the wild road?

Or. Old Uncle LeRoy's old jalopy filled with treasures?

-
Hi again...Faith..you certainly can use the picture of my grandson, my son just said it was fine with him too..here is another with a lion theme..I took at Legoland
-
Great pics, everyone!
Yes, we have wonderful, shiny motorcycles, Sahalie. Please join us!
I am loving the great beach pics from everyone!
-
Thanks for permission to share that gorgous lion with the wider world, Lisa. It will be bringing "awwwwwwwwwws" across the country this fall.
Sahalie, you've got me thinking...... one man's junk -- is another man's treasure!
I know you guys will all get a chuckle outta this picture..... Sarah took it on her camera & it took me a while to figure out how to get it over here to my laptop. (I'm making techno progress, but it's painfully slow.)
I bought the shirts before they were born at a garage sale by a group of mom's of multiples.
This is one of the first pictures capturing both of them smiling at the same time! I guess they like their hand-me-down shirts. Since they're two weeks older now, just picture their miniscule hair about .0000001 inches longer. LOL
ENJOY!!
-
Whewwwww! I'm finallyt back online. We had a huge storm move through around 4 pm and my internet and internet phone service has been offline. Those babeezzz are so adorable. Love those shirts! LOL That should stop the question being asked a hundred times.
Darn, the lights are flicerking.

I have noticed some of the girls are really in need of prayers at this time.
Please know you are in my prayers.
In Prayer.
Sahalie

Faith, love the pix of the twins. I'm looking forward to seeing my grandson and granddaughter next week (my son too). They're coming from Buffalo. I live in the Phila. area.
Good night, sweet Beachies.
You rock, Sahalie.

Hi Beach Friends, Faith you knew I would have to come and tell you how those babies and So CallLisa Kids are so cute! Hug them all for me. I have been trying to see what bridge I want to cross next. I lost part of my medical and my cancer Dr was fired, my lymphedema(very swollen), my ramp, my neighbor and on and on. I am not good went I am hurting. But I can make it with friends on-line. I been looking in to going to a new Dr farther from home and ways I could get there if I was in need. Today was long day I went to listen and help a friend and now I am paying, But it is worth it! Hug to all and I am ready for that quiet picinic at the beach with all my wonderful friends, Life is good! Take care, Debbie

It's Friday.......... let the junk-fest BEGIN!!
NO more JUNK Food for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
My first bit of JUNK that washed up on the beach this morning!
-
And my second bit:
-
I'm getting more energy every day, here's my secret:
-
Look what the beach washed up:
-
Sun's up............... I'm walking down the beach and look what I found:
-
Still further........... spar do you need this for your latest project?
-
Finally enough driftwood junk to make that sculptural project:
-
Back to the beach, where we belong:
-
Good morning Beach friends. Wowser, its good to have my internet back. When it goes out I just have to wonder what in the world did I do before I had the internet because it sure feels like being cut off from the world now. But its up and stable now. I haven't had a chance to read back but will work on that later.
-
I heard Sahalie was rounding up a posse to come look for me. I don't know where the days are going but they are whizzing by. I haven't gone on vacation YET - next month (!) and I get to go to a real BEACH - do you hear the palm fronds gently swaying in the breeze? I'm so ready. Have been busy with work, grandkids, kids, hubby and I've had problems with my iPhone since I upgraded the software....finally had to take it in to Apple last night and they gave me a new one (not the 3G one tho) so I'm up and running again. I'll come lay in the sun with all of you this weekend and catch up with my friends.
-
OK...... today's adventure is an appointment with my onc. Fairly routine, every 6 month trip to discuss how my tamoxofine is going..... I've just reached the one year mark (a mere 4 more years to go!!)
We'll see what he has to share today. We call him Doogie Howser, he is so young.
Hopefully this will not be in his notes for our visit:
Going to his office is always a solumn reminder of this walk.... even if my journey is so much easier than others, I realize again that the thread is thin.
-
These Santas are too shiny for my collection, I'd consider them junk:
