LIFE'S A BEACH!

I want on the beach for a piece of that cake. Had a good day at the lake, came home and pigged out on pizza. The granddaughter started hollaring i'm board. So I got her a board wrote her name on it in black sharpie and gave her some water colors and told her to make it beautiful and we would fix it to hang in her room so she is occupied for a while. I never remember being bored as a kid, even a cardboard box could keep you busy for hours.
Found any beach boys yet Lisa
Always, am glad your Friday is over too, now you can go beaching all weekend.
It will be Sat. afternoon, after granddaughter goes home and I check out if there are really ducks in cages at the flea market before I can start the scavenger hunt but am looking forward to it.
Sahalie, that is a beautiful party for mr. and mrs. shrink. You do so much with so little. How big is your farm? We just have 9 acres so I don't know if that is big enough to be considered it a farm or not.
Everyone have a good beachy night

What a great and creative idea!!! I bet that is something she will treasure in years to come. Did you say how old she is? Maybe some art lessons. That cake does look good. I've been pretty good at resisting eating out, mostly for financial reasons, but today I went for a Sonic cheeseburger at lunch. Now that pizza sounds delicious.
Lisa, I wish I could say that I looked that good when I was younger and before bc but unfortunately I never looked like that. But ya work with what you are given, right.
Margo, didn't mean to leave you out. Just have a very tired head today. It seemed like 5 o'clock would never get here. I'll probably be going to bed early tonight. I think I have a sinus infection pulling me down. I need to get back on my claritin. I've been lax and they mowed my grass yesterday and I've been sneezing like crazy.
I can't wait to see pictures of the ducks. I love looking at photos of places, animals, flowers. Well, dinner calls. Something lowfat to offset the cheeseburger.

Hello All: Yes the giggles came from my cabana. My dh (tee hee) and I are palnning a reception in September and I've been working on the invites. I got a Martha Stewart kit and did great with the invitations but loused up the envelopes but good. It took me hours to figure out how to print them without them being smeared or upside down and backward. Now I have to buy another kit to replace some of the goofs I made. I think I had too much sun! That hammoc in the shade looks great. It's 8 PM here. Time to get off the beach. Enjoy a walk along the shore tonight.
-
Ah hugs, Shrink. We are all so very happy for you! If you hear some singing tonight outside your cabana, that is just the traditional beach boy newlywed serenade.
-
Hi ladies, hope you are enjoying your Friday night.
Sahalie, is McCloud anywhere near Burney Falls?
Debbie, I did save you some tea - I cheated actually - my local drug store had (Diet) Snapple for $2 a 4 pack so I bought quite a bit.
Jaz, hope your sinuses are better tomorrow.

Good morning Beach Angels. I slept in this morning and it felt so good. I haven't done that in a long time. Big plans for today....more decluttering on the agenda for me. Its amazing how freeing that really is.
FPAngel -- I agree with Faith, you need a permanent ramp soon that is strong and meets standards to prevent injury.
Sahalie -- I guess you are up at your mountain by now. Enjoy the nice walks and the serenity.
Spar -- can't wait to see your new ducks.
Hi to Margo, Wings, Summer, Shrink...and anyone else I missed from A to Z.
-
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD Morning, BEACH BABettes, Bunnies, Bears, Babes et. al.
I have returned safely from the land-of-glitz-and sparkle to the great bread-basket of the midwest.
Have I got news to share!! [well nothing like Shrink's incredible announcement] but my SIL Scott is headed home as I type. He was released after his early morning de-briefing yesterday morn and drove about half way home by last night. With any luck he could be here by dinner time.
SAINTS BE PRAISED!!
I am doing the happy dance, big time!! I'm actually going bananas:
Can't wait for him to see how these children of his have grown in the nearly three months that he's been flying those huge transport planes.
Hugs to each and all!!
Can't wait to start the scavenger hunt. This one is truly "advanced." Will require diligence.
I've got to go take some pictures of WB who is still happily added colors to the welcome home banner. Wait till you see it. Twill melt your heart.

Good Morning Beach Babes in Paradise.
Uno momento to tell you I wasn't able post the scavenger hunt partaye
items last night due to the longggggggg five hour drive up the road.
Sorry!
When do you want them re-posted? Leave me a note and your wish will be granted.
We stopped at the cutest little road side diner and had the most delish chicken fried steak
meal ever.
Deborye. I read where those little icons give virus's to our computers if we click on them.
Something like that. So I'll just take your word for it that the little guy talks.
Faith. Grand news. Spectacular news.
I bet the anxious levels are warp speed at home waiting for your SIL to walk through the door.
What a home coming that will surely be.
The mountain is without a doubt magnificent.
Spar. Several acres. Not big. Just enough. Sometimes too much.
You probably know the feeling having a farm yourself. But aren't they wonderful!
I can't imagine life without ours. It was the saving grace for my children when their dad
passed.
It kept their hearts and minds in a good place as much as it could during a very rough time.
For me too.
Hi Jaz. You slept in? Way to go.
Margaret. BFalls is up here in the area. The entire area is breath taking.
Shrink. LOL on the Martha Stewart. I see those rosy cheeks and big smile on your face.
Have a grand day on the Beach and I'll check back for my post it note.
XOXO
Sahalie

Sahalie -- post the scavenger list, please. Let's get the party started. Well, the decluttering is going well. I got half a closet pulled into the middle of the room and hopefully none of it will be going back in.
I've never tried Snapple. Is this something I should get next time I'm at the store?
Hi Deborye, nice to see you dropping by.
Well, back to the clutter...

Vanilla flower in bloom....
Vanilla is the only edible fruit from an orchid, and Mexico had the monopoly on vanilla extract until the late 19th century. Most of Mexico's vanilla was (and still is) grown in Vera Cruz State on the eastern side of the country, in the moist mountains that also grow a majority of Mexico's coffee and tobacco. As travel and shipping expanded, Mexican vanilla plants made their way to France, Tahiti, and Madagascar, all which had ideal climates for vanilla production. So no matter where your vanilla comes from, it has its roots in Mexico.
