Thanks for the lemonade and smores, It was a nice way to sit on the beach and count our blessing, While we had goodies, Thanks Spar I love smores, I made they in girl scouts. I am happy to congratulate Shrink on your new life! Good luck. I am hot here Spar and I love ice tea too. Spar surprise us. I sure love my wheelchair, It is helping my lymphedema go down and makes days easier. Still no good ramp or siding, Just big boards nailed together and no car ramp to take it with me so went I drive its home. But I am grateful to get this far. To everyone here, Please be good to yourself and enjoy the beach! Sending angel hugs, Debbie

I'm soooooooooo happy to read your long, lengthy, chatty post footie!!
We are our own little family of happy campers. Delighted to share in the good news of old and new friends -- far and wide. I am soooooooooooo thrilled to hear that the wheel chair is helping the swelling to receed!! That's the best news of the day.
Today my last workshop of the day was the most crowded one...... so I couldn't see everyone as they came in..... but at the end one of the participants came up to thank me and she had a service dog that was gorgous!! It was a standard poodle HUGE HUGE HUGE poodle. Coal black. Groomed like a show dog.
She allowed me to pet her after a greeting. I've never, ever felt dog hair like this (now i'm not a dog person, in the least) but this felt like angel's hair. seriously. like something from another planet.
Anyhow, I was thinking that I wanted you to have a service dog, footie. One that could retrieve you little things and pick up a fallen magazine..... and to keep you company. This kindergarten teacher keeps the dog with her in her classroom -- and the children read to it.
She told me that her doctor has prescribed the dog, to help her battle a chronic condition of pain. That having the pet has lowered her blood pressure and a host of other benefits as well.
soooooooooooo incredible.
well i've sure missed chatting with everyone.
love love love love to each and all and the several on hiatus, temporary or long term.
Shrink are we gonna get to see pictures? please, please, please
more O'Keefe while I'm admiring her work. she had spunk. rocked the world at the time.

ommmmmmmmmmmggggggggggggggggggggggoshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
i just got off the phone with DD, Sarah....................
Scott has his FINAL flight scheduled for tomorrow. This is with the head commander person in charge of the whole base or something of that nature.
ANYwhooooooo: if all goes well he could leave as soon as sundown on FRI. THIS FRI -- like day after tomorrow friday!!!! Like he could be home by the weekend -- too much to hardly believe!!
any of you that are the praying sort, the wishing kind, the good luck variety if you're willing please say your prayers, wishes, charms for this to go well tomorrow -- that the weather co-operates, that the mechanics have the plane in good repair and that he is released just a.s.a.p.
Sarah has Wonder Boy coloring on a 15 foot long banner that says: "Welcome home, pilot daddy." She reports that he is now capable and fascinated with drawing circles. Can't wait to see the banner myself.
LONG day tomorrow..... with my author signing over lunch. I feel like such a 'big girl.'

only this gal's poodle was WAY bigger than this one, but same ball park:

beautiful Lisa. I am leaving the beach for bed, am so tired tonight. Goodnight beach friends and talk with you all tomorrow.
-
I'll be sending pictures when I figure out how to do it. I think the directions are somewhere on this thread. Thanks everyone for your good wishes. We're very happy so far. It's about 10 hours now. Someone called and asked for Mrs. _____. I thought it was for Bob's mother and then I realized it's me!
-
wowowowowowow lisa, that's a gorgous O'Keefe-esque rose, my favorite so far
sleep well one and all
shrink, just keep pinching yourself and let the smile sink right into your bones

Good morning Beach Angles. What a wonderful week this is shaping up to be!
Faith -- I am definitely the 'praying sort' and will be sending up petitions to heaven that SIL is home this weekend. A book signing! That is just too cool. Have a great day.
FPAngel -- that is great that the wheelchair is helping so much. I didn't know that it could help reduce lymphedema that way. Why are you having such a problem getting a permanent ramp put in?
Sahalie -- what fun do you have planned for us on the beach today? I think its time for another scavenger hunt.
Spar -- who do you think Jessie is going to nominate? I think Renny for sure and possibly Jerry since Jerry put him up last week. This looks like a really good season of BB this time.
Lisa -- lovely picture.
Shrink -- enjoy the journey and embrace every new adventure.
Wings -- we sure are missing you on the beach. I hope things are going well for you.
Summer -- hello to you and I hope you have a good day.
-
Always, lovely song and video. I think you are probably right about Renny and Jerry, but they never do what I think they are going to do so who knows.
Hope all enjoys the beach today and has a wonderful day. Look what I found on the beach already and I will keep looking.
-
Good Morning on the Beach to one and All.
Beautiful orange stone Spar. Looks good enough to eat.
Lisa. Gorgeous Rose.
Faith. I love anything by Georgia O. She was brilliant. Was there an
exhibit in V. to catch your attention?
Wonderful news about Sarah's husband. She and WB must be so very excited.
Babeeze will get to feel the warmth of their daddy's arms along with his love.
The banner sounds perfect. WB is a WB to be sure.

News Alert* W is at a fund raising event in my neighboring county today and will be
doing a fly over to see the damage from the fires before the fund raiser.
First he will fly way up north to Redding and meet with our Governor Arnold for
a briefing.
He will tour the hardest hit areas by helicopter.
Then back here and to the secret fund raiser. News Alert over*
Back to Georgia O'
Painting is my work. Precisely Watercolor so when I see her work I drool.

Jaz. Great choice. Also great choice and request of another scavenger beach hunt.
So I will put it together. Anyone else have anything to add to it just say* I'm saying.
Hi Shrink new bride on the beach.
Good Morning and a special brunch awaits you at your own table for two out
on Fernando's deck that over looks the tranquil blue waters of the ocean.
Have fun. Bon Appelette.
Hey to Wings. Celia. Summer. Margaret. FootsDeb. and assorted guests on the beach.
A hearty Hidy Ho as one great neighbor who worked on his side yard says to his
neighbor Tim. Love that show. So do the kids.
I'll put together the scavenger hunt then we are off to adventures up North by Shasta.
We've been invited to come up for a few days by friends who live there.
If you've ever been to the Shasta area you know how amazing beautiful it is.
The mountain goes on forever. We bring our bikes.
OK off to work.
Laters with game.
-
Spar. I reread your post about the ducks.
Can you go to the flea market and RESCUE those ducks?
The thought of them in cages at a flea market is disgusting.
I can't even watch cooking shows when they use duck. Shameful cooks,
Or baby duckies livers for the "in crowds" patee' * Even more shameful.
All our ducks are saved from cages. Our hens and rooster too.
What a wonderful feeling it is to bring them to freedom.
One of our dogs we got from the humane society. He is my sweet boy.
He is 11 now and I remember it like it was yesterday when we went as a family
and there he was.
We wanted to bring them all home. Who doesn't.
I hope you get a chance to get some of those ducks.
-
Good mid-morning Beach Angels. Lots of busy summer time activity to keep us offline. Sahalie, have a wonderful time at Mt Shasta. Maybe you could bring us back some pictures to show us the beauty of the mountain there.
Spar and Summer sure are quiet today. I hope you ladies are doing okay.
-
Always,I just got back from my mothers birthday party, presents, glazed strawberry pie my husband made, then she wanted us all to go out to eat so it ended up being a pretty long time, then my granddaughter came home with me for a couple of days so probably will be quiet unless she takes a nap or something. Right now she is doing Kareoki (sp) with her papa.
Sahalie, if they really have ducks there, yes we are bringing them home. Do you watercolor? I just bought paints, and pad to try my hand at it. If you do can you post some of your pictures?
Mom, loved that stained glass pretty and hung it on her porch to catch the light when she sits outside in the morning.
I hear a little girl hollaring nana so gotta go. later, i hope
-
Good evening Beach Angels. Yahoo the workday is finally done. How did eveyrone's day go?
Spar -- that strawberry pie sounds wonderful! How special to get to spend this time with your granddaughter. I'm sure its a special treat for her too. How old is she? Let us see some picks of the ducks if you get them.
Sahalie -- poet extraordinaire of our Beach. I was asked to tell you how much your posts are enjoyed by one and all. You have a wonderful gift and talent with words. Not to mention being a spectacular cruise director.
Faith -- how did the book signing go today? Any more Elvis sightings? How about Wayne? When do you fly home? We miss you on the Beach.
FPAngel -- this is hoping you had a day filled with well being and wonder.
Shrink -- our newlywed on the Beach. Did I hear giggling coming from your cabana last night? What a joyous time for you. So much to be done and so much to look forward too. The dawn of a new life for you.
Summer -- missing your pictures on the beach. You don't need to worry about addressing us individually. We are delighted to have people contibute in the way they feel most comfortable.
Lisa -- hello to you.
Well, I had a wonderful day and just one more day until the weekend. We need to plan a party for Friday night to kick the weekend off with a bang.
Well, our cool days have passed and we are back to hiding indoors during the heat of the day. I ran a quick errand at lunch and had to change clothes when I got home just from being out in the sun and heat for a little while. But soon fall will be making an appearance with the promise of vibrant colors as our leaves change to their fall coats and then comes winter with its own delights and trials. Its neverending, heh?
-
Whoooooooohoooooooooooooooo howdy do!!
Happy dancin' in Vegas. I did it. Today was just absolutely stellar. I think that it's the first day in about 12 years of doing this that I just flat-out LOVED what was happening. The response was so fantastic. I had one woman in my workshop today from Bankok (sp??? brain kaputz) and another young sweet heart from Switzerland!! How incredible to think my work will travel globally!!
No Elvis, No Wayne, No Cher........... just kindergarten peeps!!
I'm seriously gonna have a bowl of soup and go to sleep. Was unable to sleep last night -- I think I was just too exhausted to unwind and fall asleep.
love to each and all
looking forward to our next scavenger hunt!! don't start without me...... can ya wait to post our trinkets to search till Fri night? or even Sat? give everyone a fair stake at the prize.
sahalie. i want to know more about your art!! i had no idea and i seriously want to know more. I thought you were our word-artist? you're our beach painer? who knew?
more hugs
-
What a day. A good one. But what a day.
Spar. Your time with your Mom and her birthday party sounds so great.
Yumms pie and a day your Mom will treasure for ever.
Have tons of fun with gdaughter as your house will be filled with laffs. giggles and hugs while
she is there with you.
There is nothing more special than the love of grandparents and grandkids.
I experience those types of years and cherished the times with my grandparents. trips
to where they live and the difference of being loved with no one getting after me.
Special times. Ever lasting amazing memories I hold dear for ever.
Yes. I do only watercolors. I sell them. Big. small. some I use fine ink on to accentuate
fine perceptive angles.
I hope you get to bring home some quackers to join your family and bring some great times
watching them although I must say.
The pecking order of ducks can be kinda brutal at first.
*
Jaz. I am so happy you are having a fun wonderful day.
Thanks for the message to me. That makes me very happy. Wow. I am pleased to know.
Thank you.
OKAY the scavenger hunt. I've been putting some thought into this one and want to involve
a little more difficult beachy type treasures to find.
If you can give me till this evening (my time) I will post it with bells and whistles.
At this very moment Iam looking at a corona on the beach with a lime wedge in the top of
the bottle with the waves shushing to and fro behind the bottle.
The contrast of white sand beach and blue of blue waters with green lime in beer bottle
is very soothing.
We have had some purty good winds here today. Warm 80 type temps with the wind.
Just getting home I noticed all the tiny redwood gizmo's that fall from my trees and whirlygig
down onto the deck.
It's truly a wonder how many of those doodads drop from the trees hoping to find a burrow of
soft dirt to nestle into and sprout another tree.
Poor diddlys from my redwoods find only a deck to plop onto.
Redwoods are almost impossible to grow from seeds unless they do it their own way.
Hi to all the beach babes. Happy Thursday!
Friday is a comin' and we will be on the road again.
Like Willie sings.
*
This is what the redwood seed cone looks like.
They are dropping like crazy onto my deck. The seeds are in the little cones.
The little cones are only about a half inch.
XOXO
Sahalie

-
Coming to my beachie bunnies from the Vegas airport -- where they have free wireless.
Just a minute to post before making my way to my gate.
Sahalie, you've outdone yourself with the scavenger hunt this time.
Spar -- feel free to make up the rules as you go along. We're very free thinking here at the beach.
Footie -- i'll just feel so much more secure for you, when there's a properly installed ramp, but obviously ya gotta do what ya gotta do. Lemonade my friend.
Shrink -- haven't seen a lot from you since your big announcement, but then I guess that's to be expected under the circumstances. Tee hee.
Jas -- will wait to hear today's song upon arrival home. Happy Friday indeed. Thanks for your patience in beginning the scavenger hunt.
Margo -- always happy to have a fly by with your smiling face
I just heard from DD Sarah & Scott's flight was able to take place. He is actually in a debriefing as I type -- to discuss his release process. Keeping fingers crossed.

Not good.
GOOD MORNING OR GOOD AFTERNOON* depending on where you are.
We're packing and almost ready for the drive North to that big amazing mountain area.
I love McCloud and the candy store.
Hi Jaz. Great song for us girls.
Spar. The scavenger hunt items are usually posted one at a time unless you can get several
in this window frame at once.
Have a funfastic time with your granddaughter at the lake.
Margaret. It was good to see a post from you and Yep the air up here north of the bridge
is clear and sweet.
Finally. I hope the same for our friends near Chico and close areas.
Faith. OoPs. I posted them but will tuck them away safe till you come home to the beach.
When I see your flip flop prints in the sand I'll repost them K!
Foots. I wish you a great day. Also. Please be careful going up and down an unsturdy
ramp.
Please have someone come over and secure it for you.
Wings. I'm borrowing your mustang convert for the trip up North K.
Lisa. Have a great day down in the land of Diego San.
Celia. Still missing you ! Thinking positive vibes.
Jaz. I'm gonna tuck the items away till Faith gets herself back to the beach tonight.
I'll log on from the mountain. Hopefully.
