I'm so thrilled that our flight was able to make it -- despite some delays.

    Norm, thinking of you today.

Hugs to all of the AngelWatchers!

Good afternoon,ANGELWATCHER"S,I've been avoiding this for awhile but I guess it's better to come clean and take my lump's.I lasted 3 weeks smoke free, but unfortunately I started again..........WHY? I don't know....

How have you been,Footie, hope you are feeling okay, haven't heard much from you lately......Sharon,is the weather getting warmer in ontario, plus 10 and sunshine here today......Faith is your R&R over now?Hollyann, sorry to hear of your problem's,stay positive and know our prayer's are with you.......Suz finally quit snowing in the lower mainland? This year has been quite a different winter than your used to wouldn't you say?SiS Kim,how are you,are you back in shape for school?I know when Brenda took a year off,she found it pretty hard to get caught up and back into the swing of thing's for awhile.I can't remember seeing her more happy as she was when the doctor said she could go back to work........

I'm thinking about getting a pup to help me get more exerice(moving around instead of sitting on my butt)There's a breeder of Cane Corso pup's in 150 Mile that has one pup left......

It's only a five hour drive so we'll see what happen's.The price is good$1,000.00 but I'd like to find out more about the breeder, don't need to have problems with a pup that has gentic issues..........

My mind seem's to be slipping lately so if I missed anyone,I'm sorry, you'll all in my thought's and prayer's daily...............T.F.L.norm

Hey (((((Norm))))), you don't have to explain about the smoking to us.  It's not easy as you well know.  When you are ready, you can try again.

Do some research about the breed before you purchase Norm.  Lots of good dogs that can get you active.  I don't know much about that breed but boy, you will have your work cut out for you keeping up to one.   They are guardian dogs aren't they?  Mastiff type?  Is the kennel Antiquity?  Nothing like a puppy to boost your spirit.  Researching and looking is half the fun.

Glad to see your post.  Remember, one step at a time.

It took me probably 10 tries before I finally quit all together, it has been 10 years now and I feel so much better and save a lot of money.

Why not go to the pound and find a dog that needs you as much as you need him and save all that money?  Just curious.

Stay strong.  God bless you.  gentle hugs. Sherry

Hi Norm, now don't beat yourself up about the smoking again.  It can take a few tries at quitting to finally get it done.  It is a very hard habit to break.  I have only quit twice, the first time for SEVEN YEARS and it only took a glass of wine at a party with one cigarette to start again.  I quit again and it has now been 14 years and i plan to never smoke again.  Just try it again when you think you are ready.

Getting a dog sounds like a great idea!! I have never heard of Cane Corso dogs.  I will have to look that up.  I have my heart set on a Westie one day.  I love all dogs, but i especially love terriers.

Take care Norm and it is always good hearing from you.

Norm ...... I'm proud of you for stopping the smoking for three weeks. Now try to beat that record next time. No one here is looking for 'perfection' that's for certain.

I'm at the airport and going to go walk the terminal for a little exercise. Bits and pieces of progress for each of us. Baby steps.

I don't know the first thing about dogs. Follow your heart.

Good morning, Norm...If you only knew how many times I quit!   OY!   I have been smoke free for over 2 years now thanks to God and a little pill called Chantix......It blocks the nicotine receptors in your brain....Also the sweet part is you can smoke while on it......I am also proud of you for the cesation for 3 weeks......It is extremely hard to quit and I am rooting for you...Have a great day, Norm!   Hugs.....Lucy

Hey Norm.... Three weeks is great! Nothin says you cant try again. When I quit I used the patch, I know me and I knew I had to quit the habit before the addiction to nicotine. So more power to you and I hope you try again when your ready.

Yes a dog is a great way to start getting more active. Now I have a small one (Havanese) but she is the sweetest dog in the world and charms even the toughest of guys. I have a doggie backpack and have taken her on the motorcycle on a three day road trip as well as ski trips to Sunpeaks. Lol even snuck her up on the lift and let her out close to our hotel so she could run after us on the mountain. She fits our lifestyle, thats why we/I chose this breed. So find out about the breed you want and make sure its the right one for you.

As for SNOW holy smokes what a weird year.... we have been working our butts off trying to keep ahead of it all. I have 7 plows and a bobcat and also subcontract a few others. We barely kept up with it all, but things have finally slowed down. Heh heh, Im not going to complain about the $. I dont think its done yet, I'll bet we have at least one more snow stint before the seasons done.

Hope everyone is staying well, I dont stop in here as much as I used to. BUT I do think of everyone all the time, Big hugs and a whole lotta love, Suz

It's great to come in and see so many posts of encouragement for you Norm.

Suz, glad to hear that you're safe & making some extra $$ with the weather conditions. Always great to read a newsy post on here. I'm getting such a kick out of picturing you on the motorcycle with doggie-packed along. What a hoot!

Makes me long for summer, and our motorcycle excursions. Well, I don't want to wish away the seasons..... so I'll wait patiently.

Norm, as everyone here is identifying -- you'll quit "permanently" when you are able. I'm proud of you for sharing the process with us...... that can't be easy to do. But know that we're all here cheering for your efforts to take good care of yourself.

    xx00xx00xx00xx00xx

Hugs to all of the angelwatchers.

    Hi all,

It's been hard to get here for any length of time.  Norm, I'm so glad that you posted and trusted that we wouldn't judge you. Heck no. Quitting isn't easy and like everyone's said, when you're ready, you'll do it for good.  A dog sounds like a great idea.

I'm just checking in quickly as I've got laundry to finish and need to get ready for a night out. The band teacher at school is also in the Sacramento Camelia Orchestra, and she's playing tonight, so thought I'd take Greg and go support her.

Puppy, thanks for your ((((HUGS and Love)))). Always makes my day.

Glad you're in Dallas safely, Faith. Enjoy your time there.

Suz, sock away the extra money you're earning this year...I can imagine your line of work is boon or bust.

To all our other AngelWatchers, I'm sure Norm so appreciates your support.

    SIS Kimberly
