June ~ so sorry to hear your dad is declining quickly. I am glad you got to spend time with him last night. Big hugs ~ I know how hard this is and just hope you have lots of friends and family to comfort you when the time comes.
Jo ~ I'm with you on the FUNK ! I am planning my funeral as I wait for next weeks MRI. Am having a hard time functioning. Just want to sleep the days away ~ I hope you feel better soon.
Hugs to all !
Alicia

Thanks to the recommendations here, I ordered Fish Oil/Glucosamine combo from Nordic Naturals. It had a high rating. I'll report in, and let everyone know how it goes!
-
June glad you got to have a nice visit with your Dad. I am so sorry that he is going down hill so fast. We all love you here and will be here for you.
Jo yesterday after the rain it got down to 63 degrees. It is only 69 degrees right now. So weird for South Texas
Jo and Alicia hope you two can get out of your funks. Maybe drinks in the caboose tonight will help.
LtotheK-keep us posted how the new supplement works for you.
I am achey all over as well but I know that mine is from me getting of the glucosome. I thought after 3 1/2 months on tammi that my body would have adjusted. Well not so, so I guess I will be on this stuff for the next 4years and 8.5
-
hi all. i have been on zoladex for 6 months with no sexual issues.
i've been on tamoxifen for 6 weeks and feel very "dried up". i'm hoping this is just a coincidence. is this a real SE after only 6 wks?
-
shiramg-seems that SE's happen at any time. Most of mine have been fromt he beginning but I have had some that started a couple of months in.
-
are you using vaginal estrogen?
-
Alicia.. Im so sorry the waiting must be awful waiting... hang in sweetie I am virtually giving you a hug! and holding your hand!!!!
Jo Hoping today is better for you and giving you a hug too... I understand about the fun everything seems like an effore just everything.
I bought melatonin today I am hoping it will help with some of the anxiety issuess as well... will keep you posted
June how are things going today?
Hi Sherry!!!!!
Hello to any Tammy ladies I may of missed!!!!!
-
June, Alicia, Sherry, Tink - I can't figure out why I am in such a funk. Can't get emthused about anything still. I am beginning to wonder if it is the Tammi - maybe a short break would tell me - who knows? I don't see my onc for 6 weeks. Maybe I will pull myself out of it before then. Part of the problem may be that I have my first mammo three weeks from today and I am not even looking forward to it - got me running scared. I am trying to not think about it but you know how that goes.
Maybe I need a good stiff drink and a pillow fight tonight? That usually makes me laugh.
-
Jo it must be 5 O'clock somewhere
-
I like that we started early Sherry!!!!
Jo.. it could be the Tam. It really does play with the balance of things. I am only on 10mg still will bump up next week... and i feel that way too... yes drinks andpillow fight sound like a good plan! hugs my friend!
-
I will go with that Sherry! You know that is the ringtone I have on my cell.
Tink, Sherry - I almost forgot - WHACK WHACK WHACK - sorry, but that sure felt good.
-
I saw you sneak in Jo! WHACK. And a WHACK for you too tink.
-
oh I see we are starting early well....I am not above whacking you allearly too...sooo....................
WHACK!!!! ::)
-
Ok Jo, chabba and tink
WHACK,WHACK,WHACK GOTCHA ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Here are some fruity drinks to get started with. Tink can't handle the hard stuff -
Sherry, LOVE the drink!
June, so sorry about your dad. I lost my dad 9 years ago, and the last 2 days in hospice were tough, but full of love. His main worry was that he wasn't a good enough dad! Just being with him, loving him enough to let him go when it was time... very tough, but healing does occur. Lots of love coming your way from my heart to yours.
Jo and Alicia, I had been feeling quite alone with the "funk" feelings. Not glad you are there also, but sending you lovingkindess also as you struggle with those feelings. As I was told, "be kind to yourself." I took tammi for 6 weeks, had to get off it due to SEs, but it took another 6 weeks to get it out of my system, and part of me thinks it set me back so far on the recovery that it will take forever to heal... then again, maybe it is just chemo issues... then again, maybe not. In any case, just sleeping to avoid the fatigue, boredom with being me (lots of complaints), continued pain issues, etc. - seems sleep is not restful but does help with avoidance. And intermittently, there are bouts of the old energetic me, for which I am very grateful.
Hope you all have a good pillow fight tonight, and enjoy the food, drinks, and friendships.
Linda (previous tammi user, lurking, sending loving thoughts to all of you, and occasionally contributing)

Sherry I am all over those drinks as people are getting the best of me today........and hips, damn my right has been killing me for almost 2 weeks now....please end....
Well some good news when everything seems so lousy lately. Went to see my MO and it turns out I have a torn ligament or tendon on my armpit and need physical therapy. He said only 15% of people get that after treatment and surgeries....guess I was the lucky one. The only open appt is on June 3rd......argh!!! Also, had the green light on my mammo today....YIPEE!!!! So in spite of all the shitty stuff going on, there is some good!!!
Linda, thank you for the kind words. I am doing my best to stay strong and it is all because of people like yourself, so thank you!
Alicia, praying that you can make it through the next few days and not obsess about your upcoming MRI......To me the waiting is the dardest part and that is why I turn to food......come drink with us as I feel we could all use the company.....the more the merrier!
Tink and Jo it looks like you guys already started the party......
-
June - glad you got in to see the doc about that and WHEW! It's not serious...that is great news. Also great news on you mamo!!
I'm having a problem, that is I've had this side ache and it's been getting worse. Has anyone else had a side ache with tami? It's on the left under my ribs and above hip bone...who knows what this will turn out to be.
Thanks for any help.
-
June hooray for your mammo but sorry about your ligament, hopefully PT will give you some relief.
-
JUNE ~ so glad you got some good news in all you have going on ! YIPPEE for a clear mammo.
Jo, Tinks, Sherry, Beanius, Linda, Chabba ~ everyone ~ I am not good company and am not sure drinking would be good for my LIVER right now ! LOL Oh I made a funny... heck it's a virtual drink, I'm putting on one of those drinking helmets.
HUGS !
Alicia
-
Beanius, it the pains get sharp and shooting, get to a Dr immediately. That is the way my pancreatitis started and it almost killed me. I know it could probably be lots of other things but don't take any chances.

Alicia, Chabba, Tinkertude - thank you so much for your ideas. And Sherry thank you for the virtual dwink! I am so scared cuz this side ache has been growing but I do have a dr apt...so hopefully will find out soon...
-
heeyyyyy Jooooooo.....whack!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Hey Beanius, a side ache could be lots of things, and of course you should get it checked out..hope it dosn't get any worse for ya, another possibility could be kidney stones.... I have had issues with them on and off for several years, passed one earlier this week as a matter of fact.....ouch.. still a little tender on that side.. i tend to get them on my right side, but could happen on the left or right, the pain is just below the ribs and down the whole side and above the hip bone. varying degrees of pain, depending on the size of the sucker... fortunatly nothing big enough to send me to the ER yet.
anyway, best of luck,
-
June/Jo/Tink- sending you all love and light..sound slike it was a rough day all around ladies....June, I am sorry about your dad but so very glad you have had time to spend time with him....he might be tired with all the visitors but the alternative of not having any visitors is equally tiring so....I am sur ehe is grateful you are there.
Jo/Alicia- so sorry you are having a blue day..remember the 24 hour rule....play some happy music...dance around your living room...read a book or..go to bed ...in a few hours it will be tomorrow and you will be able to start again...hugs
Sherry- so sorry it is still causing you side effects...you would think our bodies would get used to this stuff....
BEANiuS- YES to the side ache..but mine is up around my ribs..in fact, my sholder is now swollen by the end of the day too. Marlegal thinks it might be lymphodema so I alked to my dr and the radiology department on WEdnesday and they are making an appoinment for me at the lymphodema clinic an dI set up a massage with the main gal they refer women to for massage....but my ribs are sore...a dull ache...most of the day and that has been going on and off sinc ethe radiation...I was told that it was normal and would ease up...but might take a year...sorry..too much going on iwith my left side. I want it dealt with now...
oh and laides...WHACK! WHACK!!!

I am not a hypochonriac ............after i read your post I realized that I have tightness in my shins that I did not have before. You know when you squat down and feel that your shins are tight sometimes? I have not had that since losing 10 pounds. But know I have it again. Maybe it is water. I will keep an eye on that and my weight. This drus is supposed to reduce my risk in my good boob by 25% and since my mom got a new recurrance afer 15 years and my cancer was 100% estrogen positive I hope I do not have quality of life side affects and can keep on taking it. but today after almost completing a month on this. I am more tired than I have been through surgery and rads. As thirsty as I am though maybe I am dehydrated or something like that. My skin is drier too. I think my hair may be thinning too. Good to know about the biotin. I have always had really thick hair so I do lose a lot cuz I have a lot. but around my temples I am noticing thinning
