I am waiting to hear from you too, Wallan. You have a place in my heart from the 2004 group, and also because my daughter is at school in your town.

    Well ladies:

This is a good one. When I called the doctors office Monday morning, the nurse denied that anyone called me. She asked the other people there, and they all said they didn't call. Yet I have the message on my phone.

Anyways, the doctor did call me Monday morning. Herself. And she said the bone scan was normal but that she wants me to have xrays of my neck and clavicle. I am not sure why. And I haven't had the nerve to have it done yet. But I will. I will.

To finish up, (I pushed a button I didn't mean to)...

On Monday night, I got home from work and there was another message from my oncologists office saying they have an appt for me and to call them. I didn't call the next morning, but when I got home Tuesday night from work, the office had called me again to say that I have an appointment Jan 16th to see a "menopause" expert.

So I figure this is what is was all about all along. I still have to get my xrays.

I haven't been on here this week because I have been swamped at my new job and haven't had time. I will let you all know what my xrays show..

I'm sorry for not getting back to you all sooner. I am so glad you are here for me. You are all my rock.

Thank G-d.  I think you are going to have allot of us taking a deep breath tonight-

like we all dodged a bullet...........

    Congrats on the bone scan.

Did they run a Rheumatoid profile with your last labs?

Don't stress on the xrays---probably just looking for arthritic changes.

Nothing but good news from here on out .......please.

    Take care,

    ((((hugs))))

So glad to hear you had good news on teh scan. Phew. I still think that when these doctors call, especially on a Friday, they should either leave a message hinting at what is going on or leave a number where they can be reached over the weekend. i recently had a biopsy and my surgeon called at 5:00 on a Friday afternoon. I wasn't home, but the message he left was "good news." If all I had was that he had called for the whole weekend, I would have freaked.

What a relief!  I have been on the receiving end (TWICE) of mis-directed or "error" calls that had both my husband and I totally freaking out! The first was after a bone scan where additional films were taken of my skull (YIKES!). My gyn's office called my husband's cell and asked for me--wouldn't tell him why they called. When I called their office, they were out to lunch. Several hours later, I finally got to talk to a nurse who said they must have called me in error. AGHHHH! I told her it was quite an "error" since they had to dig my chart out of their inactive files and rifle through it to get my husband's cell phone number!

The second was a phone message left by the hospital where I get my scans--a message to call back "ASAP". I hadn't been there recently and couldn't figure that one out. When I was finally able to get through to the nurse who left the message, she told me she was calling about the surgery I was having the next day (NOT!).

I really wish these people would be more careful about making phone calls. They absolutely MUST make sure they are calling the RIGHT person with the RIGHT information. They can really cause so much grief when making careless mistakes. Also, if they are going to leave a message, they really need to be clear about what is is they are calling for.

((((HUGS)))) to you Wendy!  So glad it was good news!
