Hey Doreen,
I sent a private message to your invite...thank so much. I am only a week out of surgery-bilateral mastectomy- and can't yet drive. I'd love to have joined you. Maybe next time.
Your SIS (Sister in Survival)
Kimberly
PS I went to Chico State...know The Bear well....although not like Laura's husband knows The Bear. ;-) -
We're meeting for lunch at Fat City (Old Sacramento) at 1:00 on saturday... I am really looking forward to seeing everyone!! It looks like there we'll have between 5 and 8 of us. I've been keeping the list of who's confirmed updated in the first post in this thread.
See you saturday,
Doreen

Hi Doreen,
I won't make it after all. I have developed a nasty bronchial cold with body aches. It is too close to the Holidays to spread this cold to any of you, and to linger in me so I can't spend Christmas with my little angel Alexis Claire.
I will be there in spirit, and hope you have a riotous time but don't get tossed out!
Thanks to you and ChicoTrish for organizing the day.
Hope you'll share the highlights with those of us unable to make it.
Peace & Love Surround you this Holiday Season and New Year 2008,
grace -
Doreen, Mimi and I had a wonderful lunch in Old Sacramento today, and were sorry to have missed you all. Doreen and Mimi, thanks for your wonderful company.
We decided to get together again in Chico on the weekend of April 19/20 2008. This may turn into a slumber party, especially if we have ladies from great distances. We'll visit "The Bear" and Bidwell Park, which is the second largest municipal park in the U.S. and where the original Robin Hood movie was filmed in 1932 -- it still looks like Sherwood Forest. I will gladly play tour guide. Details will follow.
Best to all for a Happy New Year!
Trish

Trish, Mimi and Doreen--I'm sorry I missed you, and the others who couldn't make it either. Hope everyone is well and happy in the coming year. I'll put April on my calendar--is that around the time of the Wildflower Century? My husband, brother and nephews have ridden that many times.
Take care,
--Hattie -
I just realized that I missed this get together. My mom took a bad fall the day before Thanksgiving... breaking her wrist and knee cap. Anyway, my sisiter and I have been seeing to her needs and also running her business.
I want to make the next event, so count me in and let me know the details.
I am also a Chico State grad.
Karen
