Hey Puppy,
Tried to reach you today by phone but I guess you were either posting or on the computer.
I'm confused. Is your surgery Thursday (the 26th) or Saturday (the 28th)? Either way, the Big Day is fast approaching and we're all here plugging for you.
How long will you be in the hospital?
Mizsissy -
Hey Puppy Pals,
I was worried yesterday when I hadn't heard from Puppy but talked to her this morning and she sounds just great. Yesterday her niece showed up and they had a little birthday picnic out in the back yard (it was niece's b-day), so Puppy was off the phone and computer and having a very nice time.
Thursday is surgery day, 6:30 AM. We won't know what kind of surgery it is until it actually happens; this kind of thing is a little touch and go and it may be necessary to go back to Plan A (the more invasive procedure) if Plan B isn't effective (the coil procedure). But in either case, Debbie is prepared. She has a wonderful positive spirit and attitude and is very grateful for all the prayers, thoughts, cards and gifts she has been getting from us. This helps make her strong.
{{{{{{{Puppy,}}}}}}}} we are all with you every step of the way, and will be praying and waiting for good news on Thursday. I have a good feeling about this and I know you will be fine.
I am so looking forward to putting this surgery behind you and seeing you on the road to recovery!

I spoke to Puppy this AM for the last time before her surgery!! Eek!!!
I am nervous about this and needless to say so is she but everybody is ready. The pain has returned and our gal is back in bed and not feeling too sharp. Can't deal with the computer because it bothers her eyes and is too tiring. She is looking forward to going in and getting this taken care of.
We are feeling very positive because her surgeon has such an excellent reputation in this field and she is in good hands. I spoke briefly with her husband, who told me he would call tomorrow once there was news. You know, he calls her Puppy too!! I told him we think of his dear Puppy as an Angel living here among us.
Puppy will need to be very quiet for at least a week after surgery, and maybe longer, depending on how the surgery goes so we may not be able to talk to her personally for a while.
Will post tomorrow as soon as there is news.
Mizsissy -
God bless you Puppy!!! God is with you. He never leaves you. Hold his hand, he loves you.
We are all praying for you and will be thinking of you until we hear from you.
Your sisters are here. Its alright. Be tough and go kick this thing in the butt.
Peace and light,
Lillie -
I'm with you Debby. Every step of the way. Sorry I didn't have time to call today. I was thinking of you.

Hi everyone. I spoke to Puppy yesterday afternoon. Would you believe she was worried about me because I had not called for two days. So typical of Puppy....going in for major surgery and she was worried about others. She asked how Mena was doing too and I told her to wait until she is up to it and Mena and I will both be calling her.
Well, to cheer her up a bit, my dh, who always manages to get her laughing, got on the extension, kicked me off the phone, and told her the ending of Harry Potter book 7. She has not kept up with any of it but wanted to know how it all ends up anyway. Then I got back on the phone, and she says, "haha, I got something on you now! I know a secret!" It was so good to hear her laugh and kid around like that.
So today is the surgery, 6:30 AM. Good thing she is more of a morning person than I am. I told her I would call after dinner-time and talk to ehr dh to find out how it went. Whatever they do, she will be in an induced coma for at least 24 hours so she doesn't move. I will keep you all updated as news comes in.
{{{{{PUPPY}}}}} Here is a warrior angel to help fight with you to get better! All my love goes out to you now! -

Debbie, I think about you every day, wondering how you are, how you are feeling and what you are doing. It is so nice to see you post.
When you feel like it you should visit the party we had in your honor, once we knew the good news about your surgery. I believe we saved some drinks for you!!!

It was a blast!!!
Love You!!!! Mizsissy -
Puppy sounds very good, just like her Old Self...brain is working, memory is back. This is just so wonderful!!!
But, Puppy needs more surgery!!!!! The aneurysm in her brain stem has still not been repaired and there are two others. There are appointments in late August and September.
Of course we are not happy to hear this. But we know that Puppy has an excellent surgeon and he dealt with the worst first so we are going to be optimistic.
We are all praying very hard for you, Debbie. You are loved much more than you can imagine.
xxxoooo Mizsissy -
Just popped in to say hi to you here as well as talking to you. I am so glad I was able to make you laugh....but not too much. I was always told too much of a good thing can be bad! However, chocolate is excluded!!

Oh Puppy, It was so good to hear your voice on the phone a couple days ago...dang it you guys, this little gal name Puppy, is one strong lady. She was laughing and talking so swell and this was after surgery....Id love to have her disposition.
She told me they got the big one so it wont bust etc, and will be doing the other three, ugh, boy she is a strong and wonderful ladly..
Just filled with life and laughter and wondering about everyone else...If I had the ability to take care of myself really good and felt so much better, Id be on a plane to help her out, OK OK cant I dream? LOL
Im so happy, and pleased she is doing so well.
She is so loved by so many, Im just so happy for her.
