New Want To Play A Word Game

@2TA, I've never been to a spa (and I also would want to wear a swimsuit with much more coverage rather than the postage stamps tied together with sewing thread that passes for a swimsuit nowadays). Would they rub me all over with things to make my skin smooth and soft, and also SMELL good? That would be nice. And since it's hot today, maybe they would also bring lots of iced tea and other cold drinks to keep me cool.
-
OK but if we're going to a spa, once we have our massages and pedicures and such, I want some good looking MALES to bring our drinks by the pool!
-
Oh, being pampered like that would never get stale. I think the cute guy over there is bringing a tray of Pina Coladas for us to enjoy. Don't poke an eye out with the little umbrella. Cheers!
-
Shoot, had a post a couple of days ago..... It was about the spa (the local one has a natural springs pool with the smell of sulphur).
Because I am behind, I will bring the drinks:
I wouldn't even mind a Bloody Mary with a stalk of celery - as long as they are brought by the cute guy(s)!
-
Those guys better bring a stack of towels for when we get out of the hot springs. But I'm not sure about the pool that smells like sulfer!?! Maybe just a swimming pool for me.
-
I'm ready for an adventure with my word girls! I will buy extra drinks for anyone who packs for me
-
Can we have some of those pastries in the case there, too? Look at those cakes—I've never seen one with so many layers!
-
You can celebrate with the cakes Curve, but if I'm not going to break my SCALE, I'd better pass on those.
-
OK Red, I will not push you to have any cake. I guess when you were talking about good-looking males to bring drinks by the pool, you meant sparkling water with a twist of lime or something equally virtuous.
How long have you two been married? Looks like you were having a very pleasant ride with your DH. I am glad there were no leaks in the gondola to spoil your fun.
-
What a fantastic way to celebrate your anniversary. We usually go for a steak dinner. But, our anniversary is on Feb 29th, Leap Day. So we only get to really celebrate every 4 years. Next anniversary, we will officially be empty nesters. Maybe a trip is in order? Maybe that place with the cute guys and the cakes!
-
Curve are you kidding me? I want iced blender drinks and beer by the poolside! The concept of me with virtuous drinks just TAKES the cake. Pun intended.
We've been married for 20 years now - we're a reconstituted family, just add love and you get us.
Zogo our anniversary often has all the kids and grandkids. I'm cooking and he's babysitting little ones while everyone else is swimming. You'd hardly recognize it as an anniversary.
-
Our anniversary is Sept 1st & our honeymoon 41 years ago (gulp) was on the Oregon coast, flying kites, drinking fruity cocktails (as a 19 year old) and...you know the rest. What I wouldn't give to sail away on a gondola....Red...you & hubby look marvelous & happy!
-
my my, all this talk about travelling. I just stay home. Even before I got cancer I was pretty much a stick-in-the-mud, and now my traveling days are probably gone forever. That doesn't mean I don't get to see other family members. One of my nieces is coming here next weekend and then most of the family will be on the West Coast in the middle of August.
-
I don't mind being stuck at home. It is a great place to surf my computer and go fun places with you gals. Let's see, where were we? Someplace tropical with cute guys serving drinks and awesome cakes for dessert? How about a walk on the beach at sunset...I'm sure we'd find a nice view.
-
And a sailboat! We can sit in the front while the cute guy TACKS to starboard and have our frou frou drinks. Watch the sunset off port then maybe a swim in a crystal clear lagoon.
-
Maybe we can sit with our backs to the sun, since the more sun I get on this face, the more wrinkles & brown spots show up...ugh!
-
heehee the sun will make wrinkles and brown spots on your back too. You just won't be able to see them.
Where is this wonderful place anyhow with frou-frou drinks and cakes in a case and sailboats and an ultra-luxurious spa? I don't know if I can afford to come with you. It sounds like someplace that costs beaucoup bucks to get into and even more to stay at once you're in. Shame on me for being such a wet blanket. Or is it an imaginary place that we can pay for with imaginary money? I've got buckets of that!
-
Curve, I know what you mean. It SUCKS to have no money but I think you were right, this is just our place, where we can escape for a few minutes of our day and enjoy moments of relaxation.
-
I don't think there are ducks on an island like that...seagulls, maybe...but it looks heavenly!
-
And I think we need to put in a couple of DOCKS so we can bring the sailboat in to shore.
-
Yes, it is a very beautiful island, but I don't think that's the right place to land a sailboat. I'm worried there might be more rocks on the bottom like the ones in the foreground of the photo. Maybe there is a quiet little cove not too far away where we can tie up the boat, and then have just a short walk to that lovely beach.
-
O, my look what I found. A nice little cabana down the way from the docks (which we had to relocate because of the rocks) with couches and a lovely barbecue that has salmon, steaks and RACKS of lamb. Spiced wedged potatoes, lemon beans & red peppers, Caesar salad and thick sliced garlic bread with cheese and bacon. Yummmy!
-
ah, that dinner sounds great! The only thing is lacks is a chocolate dessert.
-
Ooo, that dinner has made me smack my lips in delight. Now, why don't we start a cozy bonfire on the beach and sit around with an after dinner drink and we can each tell our stories. I can hear the laughter from here!
-
That's us, enjoying the bonfire on the beach. We've told so many stories, some of them not true I'm sure, and laughed like maniacs. Now MARKS the time that we just sit with our after dinner drinks of choice and quietly watch the fire, sand, water and sky.
-
mmmmmm.......so peaceful. When you look at that picture, can't you just hear the sound the ocean makes as the little waves run up on the sand and back out again?
-
And no MALES!! I think sometimes that is the most peaceful time. I'm sitting here enjoying a quiet beer with my dog at my side, while my DH is out golfing right now. Why are men so high maintenance?
-
I can't explain men to you, I'm an old maid!
I also can't think of how to get from here to my word, which is blame. So I'm not going to try. Hope you enjoy the time-out while DH is at the golf course.
-
hoping the golf course isn't near a desert, he might see a camel
-
I hope the camel is just a mirage. Those things are giant and the ones I saw at the zoo were shedding!! What an ugly sight with gobs of matted hair hanging down. I think I will order a margarita and hope it calms me down. Where did that cute bartender go?
