New Want To Play A Word Game
Comments

@2TA, did you find someone to hang out with last night? Maybe if you would like to meet new people you could take a class at the community college or Parks & Recreation department.
-
Curve, stayed at the park for a while last night, then trip to the grocery store. Wasn't hungry after that. Watched what I had on the DVR, enjoying my company (and the glass of wine helped! Thanks for the suggestion, but last thing I want is another commitment at this time. I have different ways to be with people, I just get lazy to get ready to go out and prefer to slack off
-
Well its not always BLACK and white. Sometimes I enjoy being people in person, sometimes in the phone and sometimes online. Like us!
-
not always backs and fronts either
-
Nor in a train, nor on a plane, not even in potato SACKS racing for the finish line.
-
my post lacks any humor or thought
-
My mind BALKS at a post without humour or thought. Lol

I'm pretty sure it not only stalks at midnite but I'm fairly sure I've heard that there are midnite TALKS too. Not sure it's the corn but...
-
something's going on. Hoping the scare crow in the corn field just walks away
PS, Wahine, hope you come back soon!
-
I'm thinking that I would rather that scarecrow WAKES up and scares something away.
-
no wonder why the scarecrows wears a silly smile
-
And the crows constantly have TEARS.
-
want to continue on this topic or start a new one?

Actually it's funny you mention that Maddy. I was thinking at the last post that ever since Erin said she like our thread so much better now that we were posting real stories about ourselves, we seem to have stopped doing it.
So I have one. Got my heart results back. Not crying terrible but not great either. Almost 12,000 arrythmatic episodes in 24 hours. That's 500 per hour. My hearts not running on all 5 cylinders. So I started an exercise program where I have to wear a heart monitor and they tested me out to see what I can do before the monitor craps out. Cuz that's what it does, it literally gets so confused by my heartbeat that it starts flashing 52 52 52. Then we stop and reset and try a different exercise. But now we know I can do 12 of those ones and 15 of these.
It felt good to be doing something positive again. Like everyone here has had, I have been having a bit of a crisis now that I've been cut loose. Nothing serious, I just don't know what to do with myself at 3pm anymore. Radiation took up so much time, but the routine of it was kind of comforting. And it felt like I was doing something, not falling into those dulldrum TRAPS that lie waiting for us once we no longer have to go to the cancer center.
Anyway, I feel good to be attacking something. Anything.
Love you ladies. {{{{hugs}}}}

Sorry to hear that, Deb. But, at least, they're working on it, giving you something practical to work on. Sounds like your heart trips up the equipment.
Isn't the extra time also just for resting? Now thats a hard thing to do.
As for the quick responses lately, I just haven't had a lot to say. The quick 1-liners came pretty easily.
-
Sorry Maddy, but what extra time? I work full time. Squeezed rads in by working through my lunches, although at the end I did take 8 days off. Back at it for the last 2 1/2 weeks. Had to fly out to Vancouver my second day back to work for a conference. If you STRIP it down to the bare bones, since I got back 2 weeks ago, I've already worked 19.75 hours overtime. Sigh. Too bad I love my job. I could retire like my DH.
-
Deb, so very sorry! I was thinking you were leaving a couple hours early each day, so you had parts of each day to relax a bit. Maybe I dreamed it up.
Just watching a TV show called The Little Couple. The mom/wife is a doctor who just completed chemo and she got to ring the bell. Was thinking of you.
Had some amazingly great news earlier, check out the 100 Days Thread.
-
I am just poking my nose in to say Hi. I have a word but not a story. The word is sport.
And 2TA, that is wonderful news about your DD!
-
-
yes, lately, there are many parts of my day that bring me great joy
-
I like it when people are nice instead of acting like brats. I'm glad to say that's most of the time.
-
and that no one brags ALL the time (just when we need to). Wink, Wink
Little Wahine, come back.............
-
And that tantrums and RAGES are a thing of the past.
No Maddy, you were right, just your timing was a bit off. While getting rads I worked through lunch then left 2 hours early - that way I only missed an hour. But once I went back, I was full time again. Plus a bit. Lol. Once again, congrats about your DD.
Hi Curve, hi Onco! How's it going?
-
Thanks for clearing that up Deb, I guess I didn't have a grasp of the situation. Can't keep up with everyone's schedule.
Thanks, nice to finally have great news about DD,
-
Guess what I saw in my yard today? GRASS! OK it's brown and sodden and has that spiderweb mold on it. But it isn't snow. Hooray!
-
Red, our grass is brown too, expect that for a while with our water situation. We are also close to the park, neighbors party a lot, so there are often glass bottles and empty beer cans after a Saturday night party
-
-
no, but their appearance after they have drunk so much probably provokes gasps of horror!
-
who knows with the neighbors? Smelling something funny at times, do you suppose it could be a combination of gases?
