Smiling . . . It's good for our soul.

" Have patience with everything that remains unsolved in your heart.
Try to love the questions themselves, like locked rooms and like books written in a foreign language.
Do not now look for the answers.
They cannot now be given to you because you could not live them.
It is a question of experiencing everything.
At present, you need to live the question.
Perhaps you will gradually, without even noticing it, find yourself
experiencing the answer, some distant day."

"Do not look back and ask why,
look forward and ask, why not."

Take time.
Move to the beat of nature.
Delight in it's fragrance
Wishing us all . Peace . Health . Happiness

At times our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person.
Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us.

The words of Cherie's first thought as she created this thread.
" Don't sing of Yesterday
Yesterday is gone
Tomorrow isn't written
Make Today your song "

"How important it is for us to recognize and celebrate our heroes and she-roes!" - Maya Angelo
Cheri - you will for ever be our she-roe.

"In each of us there is a little of all of us."
- Georg Christoph Lichtenberg

-
Odalys, thanks for bringing up this delightful thread.
I was so sad when Cherie passed I haven't posted since that day on this thread.
She would want us to continue on here so I'm happy you found it
and brought it back.

Live life on our own terms

"Everything begins
with loving kindness
towards oneself,
which in turn becomes
loving kindness to others."
Pema Gödrön -
Let there be peace on earth and let it begin with me.....

Change has a considerable psychological impact on the human mind.To the fearful it is threatening because it means that things may getworse. To the hopeful it is encouraging because things may get better. To the confident it is inspiring because the challenge exists to make things better.

As the great Maya Angelou once said:
The bridge I must be
is the bridge to my own power.
I must translate
my own fears.
Medicate my own weaknesses.
I must be the bridge
to my true self.
-
Today's Quote : I have accepted fear as part of life--specifically the fear of change. I have gone ahead despite the pounding in the heart that says turn back. -Erica Jong (submitted by Jillin2001)
I hope this thread will continue. I was so saddened when I learned about Cherie's passing. I came here and read the inspiration and thoughts which really helped me and still do. YOu ladies have such good thoughts to share. I look forward to your continued inspiration. (I don't know where/how to find the beautiful photos to go along with your inspiring thoughts. )
Take care and God Bless...
