Thank you Lord for Patti's faithfulness and gift of pointing to You as our source when we stumble with fear and doubt. We are thankful for those who have passed into your Kingdom where there is rejoicing... no more pain or sickness. Yes, we miss them, Lord, but we have been so much richer knowing them even in their discomfort because they were reflections of your love.
Where there is joy, gladness will follow. Let us rejoice as we approach the birth of your son, Jesus. Thank you for the gift of life now and forever. May our sorrows turn to gladness as we rejoice as the angels in heaven rejoiced,

I give you this one thought to keep -
I am with you still - I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift, uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not think of me as gone -
I am with you still - in each new dawn.

Prayer for the Beginning of the Day
O Lord, grant me to greet the coming day in peace, help me in all things to rely upon your holy will. In every hour of the day reveal your will to me. Bless my dealings with all who surround me. Teach me to treat all that comes to throughout the day with peace of soul and with firm conviction that your will governs all. In all my deeds and words, guide my thoughts and feelings. In unforeseen events, let me not forget that all are sent by you. Teach me to act firmly and wisely, without embittering and embarrassing others. Prayer for the Beginning of the Day
O Lord, grant me to greet the coming day in peace, help me in all things to rely upon your holy will. In every hour of the day reveal your will to me. Bless my dealings with all who surround me. Teach me to treat all that comes to throughout the day with peace of soul and with firm conviction that your will governs all. In all my deeds and words, guide my thoughts and feelings. In unforeseen events, let me not forget that all are sent by you. Teach me to act firmly and wisely, without embittering and embarrassing others. Give me strength to bear the fatigue of the coming day with all that it shall bring. Direct my will, teach me to pray. And you, yourself, pray in me. Amen.

As the dawn breaks on a new year, let us give thanks for all we hold dear: our health, our family and our friends.
Let us release our grudges, our anger and our pains, for these are nothing but binding chains. Let us live each day in the most loving ways, the God-conscious way. Let us serve all who are in need, regardless of race, color or creed.
Let us keep God of our own understanding in our hearts and to chant Gods name each day. Let us lead the world from darkness to light, from falsehood to truth and from wrong to right.
Let us remember that we are all one, embracing all, discriminating against none.

As the dawn breaks on a new year, let us give thanks for all we hold dear: our health, our family and our friends.
Let us release our grudges, our anger and our pains, for these are nothing but binding chains. Let us live each day in the most loving ways, the God-conscious way. Let us serve all who are in need, regardless of race, color or creed.
Let us keep God of our own understanding in our hearts and to chant Gods name each day. Let us lead the world from darkness to light, from falsehood to truth and from wrong to right.
Let us remember that we are all one, embracing all, discriminating against none.
May your year be filled with peace, prosperity and love. May God's blessings shower upon you and bestow upon each of you a bright, healthy and peaceful new year.

My heart is heavy with the news from Southeast Asia.As I watched CNN I could not believe my eyes. Sometimes we can't make sense of it . Sometimes none of it makes sense . Sometimes it just is .I pray for their souls and ask God to comfort the hearts of the survivors.
Death separates us for a time : Christ will reunite us forever. Death is a fearful vistor , snatching away people who are precious to us and leaving us behind to mourn , grieve and wonder . Take God's hand he will comfort you , he hears even the faintest cry for help .

As the dawn breaks on a new year, let us give thanks for all we hold dear: our health, our family and our friends.

STEWARDSHIP PRAYER
Loving God, I come to you in thanksgiving, knowing that all I am and all that I have is gift from you. In faith and love, help me to do your will. I am listening, Lord God. Speak your words into the depth of my soul, that I may hear you clearly. I offer to you this day all the facets of my life, whether it be at home, at work, or at school to be patient, to be merciful, to be generous, to be holy. Give me the wisdom and insight to understand your will for me and the fervor to carry out my good intentions. I offer my gifts of time, talent and possessions to you as a true act of faith, to reflect my love for you and my neighbor. Help me to reach out to others as you my God have reached out to me.
Our hearts ache for those who are suffering today especially the victims of the tsunami..We pray for those whose lives were lost and ask you to be merciful upon their souls...We pray for the families who grieve for them, We pray for the vicitms and their futures and all who must rebuild shattered lives...Lord please guide and watch over the volunteers who are giving of themselves to relieve the suffering of our sisters and brothers in south asia.
May Peace Prevail on Earth.....Let the bloodshed and fighting cease...

We are with you. My church gave me a prayer coverlet that the intercessory prayer group had prayed over. I took it and a pillow the wife of one of my patients made for me when I gave her husband a pep talk before he had chemo and showed him my port. In my "chemo bag" I had my favorite praise tape "Casting Crowns" and a book on faith by Phillip Yancey. Oh, I packed a bottle of Propel and a box of raisins. The time went quickly... I cranked up the volume on my CD player, layed back on my pillow, closed my eyes and praised God that he had provided me the weapons and prayer warriors to overcome the trial. I thanked Him for a wonderful onc and caring staff. He is faithful!
