Now I wake up from the night

And thank the Lord for morning light.

He'll be with me through the day,

In my work and in my play,

In the sunshine, in the rain,

In His presence I remain.

As I keep my heart and mind centered in You, God, I feel Your peace infusing my entire being and keeping me serene and secure.



To You, beloved God, I release all sense of turmoil. In the comfort of Your presence, I am content and peaceful.



God, Your presence calms me, quiets the storms around me, and leads me to a place of perfect peace. As I center myself in Your peaceful presence, I let go of every concern and relax in the safety of Your love.

I was shaken by the news that another sister, so young, has passed. Today I give you this unique poem :

I DO NOT GO ALONE:

If Death should beckon me
with outstretched hand

For though the path

I take Death's hand
without a fear,
For he who safely
brought me here...

Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself.

You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

Therefore, be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be and whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul.
