Evening Prayer for 26/05/04

It's true we've never
looked on God's face,
But his likeness shines forth
from every place,
For the hand of God
is everywhere
Along life's busy
thoroughfare,
And his presence can be
felt and seen
Right in the midst
of our daily routine.
The things we touch
and see and feel
Are what makes God
so very real.

I thank God for this place of power , prayer , compassion , hope & love .
I pray for faith in God for everyone at breastcancer.org .
God Bless all of us with peace of mind and sound judgement.
Have a wonderful evening filled with family, friends and visions of Summer, each minute sweeter than before . There is a blessing in the air .

We all need words to live by , to inspire us and guide us , words to give us courage when the trials of life are over bearing . The words of inspiration for you tonight :
"GOD ALWAYS GIVES ENOUGH STRENGTH FOR THE NEXT STEP."
For my BC Sisters who are new to breastcancer.org, sisters going thrrough DX , path reports , surgery, treatment , recurrence, sorrow , despair and sisters who have lost family and friends to this "BEAST", this prayer from my heart:
Lord give me strength for this day's task ,
Not for tomorrow would I ask;
At twilight hour , oh may I say ,
" The Lord has been my guide today."

I haven't been a regular visitor in the last few months , I hardly know any of the names they are all new and so so young . Patti has asked me to keep the Prayer Chain going while she is away enjoying herself getting a much needed rest. Please feel free to add a prayer of your own or you can have your name added by just leaving your message .

Direct my work and bless it .
Direct the things I say and give them blessing , too.
Direct and bless everything that I think and speak
and do. So that for this one day , just this one day, I have the gift of grace that comes from your
presence.
Grace strikes us when we are in great pain and restlessness...Sometimes at that moment a wave of light breaks into out darkness , and it is as though a voice were saying : "YOU ARE ACCEPTED"

My BC sisters.....No matter the storm when you are with God , there's always a rainbow waiting .
May God bless you all , my prayers go out to you tonight.

Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance , chaos to order , confusion to clarity . It can turn a meal into a feast , a house into a home , a stranger into a friend . Gratitude makes sense of our past , brings peace for today , and creates a vision for tomorrow .
Our friend running deer has recently had a PET scan the results being a recurrence. I ask you ladies tonight for prayers of courage ,strength and peace of mind as running deer faces the challenges ahead.

I was scanning the website this evening and I see some of you ladies are burning the midnight oil, I remember those days vividly. I found there was always one or two here all the time . All of our sisters give of their time so lovingly .Tonight I would like to share the words of a Cancer Sister :

When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say , "I used everything you gave me " Author Erma Bombeck .

Lord we know Life is a journey , a pilgrimage , we are explorers and pilgrims .
Women of Spirit and substance who look great in hats , that's why we wear so many .
Seekers of the sacred in the ordinary. The Mystical in the madness .
Where are we headed? we're headed home.
You won't be alone. Someone who loves you unconditionally is at the helm.
Divine Love sustains you , surrounds you ,enfolds you , protects you . Go in Peace we all have ANGELS guiding us . Lord grant us peace , strength and rest while we all meet the challenge .

Tonight I pray for all my sisters , world wide , I pray for rest for your tired bodies , laughter , quiet times , a simple hug from someone you love .
