Ooo I'm jealous! I so wish I could make another lunch.......lol. Nice pic girls!
Love n hugs. Chrissy -
hey Chrissy, you get here and I'll drive -
I will try to join you next time! Thanks!
-
Solen I drive down from Huntington Beach and it's well worth the drive, now if only one of those nice ladies would have told me my bra strap was showing..... Next time I'm going to get in the back row -
LOL!!!! I think you all look like you are having a great time! would love to meet you, and did not notice any bra straps! I used to live in Corona del Mar until last March when we relocated to Encinitas. I just had a bilateral mastectomy and I am doing great with getting back to life.
-
Solen keep watching this thread and SoCalLisa will post the date, I think it's the middle of January, hope to see you there. -
-
hbcheryl it looks like a white top under your red sweater, very appropriate for the season -
Were there any dates for the next get together thrown around? -
Jan 19th 2014 -
Thank you! -
I should be changing my name to chemo-brain! I was sure I had posted my inquiry a few days ago but it is not there.
I am looking for help with names of MOs in SolCal and I am willing to drive a good distance. If you are happy with yours, would you share her/his name? You can PM me if you prefer. Thank you!
-
I was originally treated at Hoag, my oncologist there no longer practices. (years ago, so I am not sure if a recommendation would mean anything!)
I recently moved to San Diego area and now see Dr Joan Kroener at Scripps Green, in La Jolla. I like her a lot and she seems to have a great reputation in the community. I just had a bilateral mastectomy, and was very happy with my surgical team and the care at the hospital as well.
-
I see Dr. David Margileth thru St. Joseph's Cancer Center in Orange, CA. He posts a lot on the internet about breast cancer, maybe you'll be better at researching him than I am. PM me if you need more info
-
Thank you so much to both of you. I recognize the name of the MO at Scripps Green. Best wishes to you with BMX post-op...hope your drains go away soon. I will look up Dr M tonight. Name also sounds familiar but can't place him. I do know the hospital, one of my kids had surgery there years ago.
-
Nisavilla, Thank you for the good wishes! But drains have been out for a long time! Had surgery 5 weeks ago today and was off pain meds in a day and a half, drains out in a week and a half, just got the ok to go back to pilates! Can't wait! Feel amazing and well, that is why I do not hesitate to recommend the team at Scripps! I feel very lucky at this point that things went so smoothly.
-
Back to Pilates in 5 weeks? You are amazing! I will share a cartoon that reminds me of myself. It said "Pilates? Oh, heavens, no, I thought you said pie and lattes"
-
Okay, THAT is funny!!!
-
ARe you having the get together this Sunday?
Would it be ok if I bring someone who is doing radiation, having finished chemo a few months ago. She hasn't joined the boards, but I know she wants to meet some other ladies who have gone through what she has.
Where and what time are you meeting?
Hope everyone is doing well, and enjoying the warmth we have here compared to the rest of the country!
