Termite-
I live in Hinckley (west of Sugar Grove) and LOVE my BS- Dr. Whereatt at the Dreyer in Aurora. I truly believe she saved my life by continuing to dig into what was going on with me. The first surgeon I interviewed never would have found the invasive cancer- she would have just taken out the ADH (pre-cancerous cells) and it would have been a year before my next mammogram and that's when I would have found out about the invasive cancer. Dr. Wheratt took a biopsy for a suspicious area while doing my 1st surgery, and that showed DCIS. When she knew I had 2 areas that had cellular changes, she ordered the MRI to make sure there wasn't anything else going on, and that showed the invasive cancer.
All Dr. Wheratt does is breast surgery, and I'm one of about 5 women I know that credit her with our lives.
Good luck!

So sorry I'm so late today:
Strength is a capacity for endurance. One of the dividends of suffering is the
universal discovery the we possess a strength within us we never knew we had.
Navigating through a difficult episode not only shows us that inner strength is
there but convinces us it will always be there to serve us in the future.
Overcoming gives us an assurance of personal confidence and value that far
exceeds what we thought we possessed before our struggles
began.

Thank you so much Adey for coming back and sharing. I don't get back to this board near as much as I would like to, but am always in absolute awe of the generosity of spirit. Prayers and good thoughts your way.
Thank you all for the ScarAway recommendation. Giving it a go as we speak :0)

Keep those great quotes coming, Jackie! Even though I don't comment on every single one, I do read them everyday and often find inspiration in them.
It's a rainy day on Cape Coral so we're heading over to the large citrus fruit market in Fort Myers to send some fruit home and then going to some friends' house for dinner and cards.
Everyone enjoy your day!

My daughter emailed today to congratulate me on one year since my last treatment. Yah!!

Sometimes some answers are so simple we can almost miss them:
“One thing we do know: Life will give you
whatever experience is most helpful for the evolution of your consciousness. How
do you know this is the experience you need? Because this is the experience you
are having at this moment.”Eckhart Tolle

I know Jackie is |our lady of the quotes but my daugter sent this to me and I cannot resist sharing:
Daily message: when your uncertain about what the future holds and you don’t even know what you want, that’s ok even if it feels a little scary and discombobulating. Just breathe. That’s almost always the best thing to do....breathe. Clarity, discernment and direction will come. Trust the in between times.
Have a great day and BREATHE!
Susan
-
Susan that is wonderful. Concentrating on breathing would shift the focus away from disconcerting things and give us some "space" so that we don't draw negative aspects from the un-known, scary, or seemingly complicated and maybe upsetting things. Trust -- its a wonderful, wonderful thing. Next time you see your daughter, please give her a hug from me. I think she has a great vantage point and viewpoint.
Blessings,
Jackie

Morning Ladies,
Corpo, Lago, and Cami...Dr. Whereatt is my breast surgeon. She went back into my old mammogram records and she thought it was nothing to worry about but would keep checking in case there was a change. I am due for another mammogram next month so hopefully there will be no change.
Corpo... I live in Oswego, you are not that far from me. Maybe we could meet up some day.
Weather today is warmer but it snowed from Friday till yesterday evening. So ready for Spring!
Jackie, your quotes are great. I love reading them.
FGM.. congratulations on your 1 year
Ritajean... enjoy your stay in warmer weather. My mil lives in Naples and a friend lives in Fort Meyers
Enjoy the Superbowl game!!
Have a great week

A wonderful realization will be the day you realize that you are unique in all the world. There is nothing that is an accident. You are a special combination for a purpose-and don't let them tell you otherwise, even if they tell you that purpose is an illusion. (Live an illusion if you have to.) You are that combination so that you can do what is essential for you to do. Don't ever believe that you have nothing to contribute. The world is an incredible unfulfilled tapestry. And only you can fulfill that tiny space that is yours.

Morning. Sure hate to complain but we had such a good day yesterday. It did rain a time or two and quite cloudy but loved the much warmer ( 41 degrees ) air. Of course, nightfall and it is much cooler. Woke up to frozen everything. Windshield and wipers, all the car doors....a glaze of ice covering all. There is a powder amt. of snow on the ground which just sort of heavily stuck to the moisture/ice on the ground. This just has not at all been a good one. I'd be hoping for a great Spring and Summer but I worry when we have such a wild winter....that it will just crop up in the other seasons too. Well, I'll have to start praying early to the weather Gods I think.
Hope you all have a fantastic Sunday. No Super Bowl for me. Though rare, I will work for a while this afternoon but we don't do anything ( never generally watch sports here ) on game days anyway...no matter what.
Blessings,
Jackie

Happy Chinese New Year. This was our surprise at lunch yesterday: linky
