Heidi.....I agree with everyone else. I would not MAKE a decision until you have throughly discussed everything with your MO. I'm also not being for or against as it is a personal decision, but I think taking it off the table too soon may not allow you the full range of pro and con's needed to make a good decision based on all the facts.
Lago....look for a pm from me please. Yay for you --- two glorious years and I'm praying for a lifetime more for you.
C-squared....glad you seem to be doing fine and feeling fairly comfortable and do rest as much as you can. It will help the healing as you know. Yay for you too.
Thinking of all of you and wishing you sooo well.
See you later.
Hugs, Jackie

C-squared I'm lad this is done---just stay on the pain meds so u can rest well.
Lago 2 YEARS---WONDERFUL
And Heidi think thrice, then make a decision.
-
Enjoy a long week-end and whoever needs to rest do just that.
-
Lago~ that's great news! Wishing you many more loving years with NED!!!
-
c squared I am glad you will rest and be gentle with yourself
lago I am glad you have two years behind, here is to many more ahead.
-
Lago - congrats on two years of NED. I am so happy for you! Please celebrate appropriately this weekend.
Ladies - for those of you that had TCH, how many times did you loose your eyelashes?
My news is that on September 12 I am having a BMX with immediate reconstruction. Very happy and scared.
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! -
Roula u'll have it done all at one time---Now that sounds good to me--it's like get it over with--I certainly wish u the best with it. And quick healing.
My lashes have never come back to where they were before--they are shorter and sparse--Oh well. Now that's just me not everyone.
-
Roula my lashes never fell out all the way just thinned. About 5 weeks later they started to shed again but new ones grew back… not quite as fast as the hair but they were there. They grew in decent then I think the ESD kicked in and they thinned out. They are still thin but the length is normal for me. I hear it can take some of us about 2 years for them to get normal. I do think though as long as I'm on ESD they will be on the thinner side.
Also note that many women complain Herceptin slows hair growth. I will admit my hair grew even faster once off it.
This date is the date of my BMX with immediate recon (TE's installed). We were all scared! It was much easier than I thought.
-
Lago: Congrats on your two year anniversary. May there be many, many more!
Heidi: Welcome! I sent you a PM. I will be more than happy to assist you in any questions you have of local service here.
Adey: Go Bradley! I have been there 3 times in the last week to present seminars to the retirees. It's a beautiful campus. Everyone is very nice.
Rita: Happy Belated Birthday! Hope you had a good one.
Roula: My lashes are getting thin for the second time. First time end of June/beginning of July. I guess I will have to wear false ones for the wedding. Brows are coming back, but sticking straight out. Using wax to keep them in place. I will keep you in my prayers on the 12th!
For all of you who voted for me for the Heartland Spa contest: I WON!!!!! I have three days, 2 nights at the Heartland Spa i Gilman Ill. I am taking my BF. I am so excited. It's 9/19 through 9/21.

Karen-So glad you won!! what kind of seminars do you do? I'm a retirement specialist for a large mutual fund company and I go around the country doing financial education meetings for our 401(k) clients.
Lago-yay for 2 and here's to 98 more. hope the festival doesn't get rained out today.
-
Finally got out long awaited real rain. It came down hard and fast....too fast, but today and tomorrow will have slower showers. We left here last evening ( treat night ) to go out and eat and it was dry as can be. Started raining at the restaurant and when we left we WADED ot our car. It has been so long -- who knows how much dirt and debris might have been in the sewers -- that it just flooded everything. I actually didn't mind....I was so glad for WET in a larger amt. I couldn't find it in me to be upset.
Actually didn't take long to feel quite warm again when we got home and got into some dry clothes. We had some wind with everything, but so far, so good and I think that is no longer a factor.
Looking forward to a nice long soak.......hope it comes.
Hope you all have a good day and hope not too much rain your way either.
Hugs, Jackie

Okay you Chicago gals I have a question for you. We're coming into Wrigley Field tomorrow. Is there anyway we can take the train or the L from Schaumburg into the city? If so, where do we pick up the train in Schaumburg? I appreciate any help you can give me.
-
Rita someone will help--not me--I'm still trying to figure out how to get to a main street from my little sub-division.
-
Hi Rita - There is a Metra train station in Schaumburg. You can take that train into Union Station in downtown Chicago. Then, you either need to walk, take a cab, or a CTA bus to Monroe and State and take the Red line L to Addison for Wrigley Field. The only problem with Metra on Sundays is the schedule is somewhat limited, usually trains only leave every 2 hours. So you would need to be careful and leave Wrigley with plenty of time to get back downtown to Union Station for the train back to Schaumburg. Or you may be sitting in Union Station for a couple of hours! I can send you links about Metra so you have the schedules, etc. I take Metra to work every day from Park Ridge.
Another option is to drive to Rosemont from Schaumburg, park, (they have a park n ride there) and take the CTA Blue line L downtown. Then you need to walk through the pedway (about a block) to the CTA Red line L and take that train to Addison. This gives you more flexibility with schedules as the L's run quite often.
There is a CTA trip planner website that you can use for more details. I'll send that link also.
Go Cubs!
-
Rita~ Another twist on one of the routes Kitty suggested is to take the "Blue Line L" out of Rosemont (park n ride) and get off at the Addison Street stop. Then you will take an Addison St. CTA bus straight East to Wrigley Field. Busses can be packed but if you don't mind the crowds this may be one of the most direct routes for you. As Kitty mentioned this also gives you more flexibility in timing as the bus and "L" run frequently versus the Metra train schedule which may be restricting depending upon plans and spontaneity. Enjoy the day!
