garbage bags work well for this and can sometimes be squished down flat enough to slide under the bed.

Well, that might work for some. BUT....I have 14" deep drawers under both side of the king that don't allow for hiding stuff.  One of the reasons I got them   The other bed is a DeBarr Bed (murphy really) that is folded up and not able to be used as such.  Then again....she will be sleeping on folded down.  Hmmmm...I wonder if I put it under that bed, the odds that she'd strip and look under there before she leaves?  I'm the only one that strips our beds when the family leaves her place after staying there, so she often does the same for me.  I try to tell not to bother, but you know mothers! At 80 it's hard to change their habits

Thanks for not banning me, Patrice.  Where would I go to get many laughs.  And where would I go to find out I'M NORMAL!  I used to clean much more often.  It's getting harder and harder and I'm not done yet!  And I have no idea when my dd is arriving.  The other two aren't coming in until Thursday.  I'm tired.

I too used to be able to clean my house, when it was smaller. At the old house which was smaller than this one I could clean the WHOLE thing in 2 hours total!!! And that was doing a good job. Now I cannot get this house cleaned in 2 full days. I think that it would take me 5 days to clean this place. So now I need to work more to pay for the cleaning ladies to come every 2 weeks.

Have been back to work for 1 week and have lost 1 pound of the 14 pounds that I gained while off. So in 13 more weeks I will be ready for bathing suit weather. Except summer will be over by then. Oh well, there is always next summer!!! DRAG!!! Maybe I could speed things up somehow!!!LOL!!!

Have you ever made a Cherry Chip cake? My girlfriend had me try the type of cake that she wanted at her wedding. She had the bakery make a small cake to test out before the wedding. I had never had it before. Was it ever good. I loved it. Maybe you can make one to those? Not for DD but for us.

HAHAHAHA, Kerry and Hanna.  I won't be baking crap!  My dd who's coming home from Africa wanted a chocolate cake when they surprised us at Christmas.  She went out and bought a chocolate cake mix.  And canned icing.  I bought a Chocolate cake at Sam's and it was good.  I'll buy that and tell them I made it. 

Kerry, the Cherry Chip cake sounds wonderful.  I'll bake it for all of you.  Where shall I send it.  Nah, I think it'd melt before arriving.  Besides, I don't want to be the one who hinders your weight loss.  Just keep on cleaning..may lose another pound!

If I don't get my butt to bed I'm not going to be able to finish my work.  And I mean it's work!

If I don't get my butt to bed then I won't be able to get up for my mandatory education meeting in the am. I don't like that word "Mandatory". Kind of puts the hair on the back of my neck up. I will have to tell them, "Sorry, I couldn't come to the meeting because I was busy baking a cherry chip cake." Or I could tell them, "Sorry, mandatory is not part of my life anymore." And then I could walk out and QUIT!!  I think that I am having delusions of being rich or winning the lottery. Both of which are false. So I had better just go to bed and get up in the morning and go to work. POOP!!! This SUCKS!!!!

Kerry, hope you had a good night's sleep.  I had myself so worked up last night FROM working in the house that I couldn't go to sleep.  I bet it was at least 3 am before I fell asleep.

They're not here yet.  My DDs mil and fil went to Charlotte to pick them up from the airport there.  I don't know if she'll even come over tonight.  She's gonna probably be pooped!  But that's okay if she doesn't. 

Guess I better get a shower.  I'm not smelling to good.  Been sweating and sweating and sweating.  Not perspiring.  SWEATING!

We could all go to Shirley's house so we can see what a CLEAN house looks like, then we could eat the chocolate or cherry chip cake that she made for her DD. Then we could all meet the DD. Was this the one with the you know what around her neck at her wedding shower?

I have to tell you the Mandatory meeting was SSDD-Same Shit Different Day!!! We have already been over this stuff at work again and again. They really must think that some of us are idiots. My Boss wanted to know if the group was understanding a certain thing and we all said "yes". She kept asking us if we really understood this and was quite  surprised at the fact that we did. I told her "yes, we get it. Relax!!! We all get it" We got it, but she didn't think that we got it. Am I making sense? Honestly!!!! Drives me CRAZY!!!

My dh and I sleep on a waterbed.  We are replacing the mattress today.  Found all kinds of stuff under the mattress: earrings, stuffed mice, buttons, money, etc. 

Does  this count as cleaning?

Sue, I think that the waterbed thing is cleaning. I still have not cleaned any drawer out though. May have to as they are all getting too full, with all the clothes that I am buying that are 1 size bigger from last year. I have been eating too much cake. (And cookies, ice cream, pies, bread, chocolate) Now I made myself hungry again. Oh crap!!!

C'mon over girls.  I haven't heard from my DD who wore the "thingy" around her neck.  Yes it was her.  I'm a bit ticked off.  I've already posted on the "moan" thread.  Has Custom's had them put in jail?  Did their flight come in?  I mean, I know her mil has a cell phone.  Why hasn't someone just given us a call?  I will NOT call over to SIL's mom's house.  I'm a bit ticked.  NO CHOCOLATE CAKE FOR THEM!

Spring cleaning, but that'll never happen again.  The kids are lucky to have clean beds and bathrooms!  Can you tell I'm not a happy camper!

I did get a bath.  Did my hair.  It looks like shit!  I guess I'll have to do it again.  I'm going to Duke Friday for my stupid mammo.  And, I can't cancel cuz I was supposed to have had it done in January and have canceled twice.

Okay, I know this is about "getting our acts together," but I'm bitching, moaning and groaning.  But I'll see my sweet grandbabies tomorrow.    They'll be sweet for the first five minutes then......

I have never done "Spring Cleaning." I don't have time to do regular cleaning so there is no way that I could ever do the big spring clean.One of my old bosses used to take a week off to do her spring cleaning. She needed to get a life!! I would rather be at the beach. I have worked for some pretty weird bosses. Makes life interesting.

The surgery went ok.  It was creepy, being awake, while the ps cut the nipple off, and then cut it in half, and put it back where it belongs...

I am very depressed, and can't understand why.  I guess it's the Tamoxifen, but maybe it's also something to do with this being my last surgery, and it's all over...  finally.  But, I SHOULD be HAPPY, right? 

I may not be around much until I can finally stop being so sad all the time!

Don't worry, I still won't be cleaning very much...

Glad to hear that your surgery went well. I think what you are feeling is normal at the END of it all. It has taken soo much out of all of us with diagnosis, treatment, surgery and reconstruction. This is a HUGE deal. What is every women's greatest fear? Breast cancer!! And we are living through it. It is tough. My surgery was on Jan 25/08 and my hardest months were February 08 physically and April 08 emotionally. I think that I had to deal with all the physical stuff first before my brain would let me deal with the emotional stuff. SAD and CRY all the time. I didn't think that I could feel THAT sad. Caught me off guard for sure. Things will get better. It is a rollercoaster ride and not one that is enjoyed. Don't be too hard on yourself. You need time to heal emotionally and physically. Cry in the shower. It is the best spot. No one knows that you are crying and the water washes away all of the tears. Feels very cathartic. I stood in the shower so many times with the face cloth up to my face and just sobbed. Usually I got out when all the hot water was gone. Then I would cry in bed in the morning when I woke up and at bedtime when I was going to bed. I got sooo sick of crying. It is tough. And you did it. Be kind to yourself and heal.

Thanks!  You are so kind!  Sure, I cried alot at first... I couldn't stop, once I started.  But, once I had my surgery and started tx, I guess I just felt like I needed to just plow thru it, and get done.  Maybe now that it's all finished, I am feeling the emotional depth of all that I have been through. 

I don't know, but it is really worrying me.  I'm not the kind of person who would benefit from seeing a therapist, so I just hope I can somehow get past this. 

Thanks so much, I know that you would understand, cause you have been there.
