TIME TO CIRCLE THE WAGONS GIRLS

Good morning all!
I've tried to catch up a little, but it is impossible! You were a very busy bunch while we were away!
Nicki, good luck with the interview today, my friend. I can tell by your posts that you are indeed a good, caring person. Nurses are a special breed.
Amy, Peanut had 3 puppies???? They are too pickin' cute! Oh I started out my time at Pinkstock with 2 Coronas, LOL!
Cheri, meeting CY in person was great. She is a beautiful person inside and out. Your post was great explaining what had been going on while we were away. I agree, we need people to just be truthful here! Sorry I was too late for your phone call at Pinkstock.
Gina, I also enjoyed your post about everyone being truthful. It was great to talk to you on the phone on
Saturday.
Marsha, I'm sorry I missed your call on Saturday. I was so busy flapping my jaws, I didn't realize you were on the phone until you hung up! Hi anyway! My chest was really tight after rads. I still have to stretch 2 years later
Melody, welcome to the circle. Just jump in whenever.
Charlene, good luck with your fills!
Betty, I'm sorry you have to leave your job. That happened to me years ago when I just couldn't work with a woman. I took a hike and never looked back. Good luck!!!
Kristin, did you also get a new job??? Good luck to you also!
I missed Crazy Bob in the Glenda dress too. He was the funniest guy ever! And what a fire!!! I'm not going to spill the beans about Casino Girl. Keep on guessing!
Time to go down to the dungeon and work out. Geez, I hate to exercise . Talk to everyone later! -
Morning all,
Madison, glad you made it home safely. I heard you all had a great time this weekend.
Charlene, if you're like me, you like having everyone together but it sure is nice when they are all gone. Get some rest. Hugs to you on your niece.
colleen, you got to see Warren for a while yesterday. The driving wasn't fun but you to spend it with him.
Cheri, thanks for the explanation. How's Amber doing? I think that picture of CY is awesome.
Hi Carrie, how are you doing? How's Denise?
Pam, good story and bottomline, you are correct, we were brought together with a common bond.
Suz, thanks for sharing the pics. Makes me feel like I was there.
Iris, you know if you miss a few days, you can't catch up on reading but you did a great job.
Robin, glad you are back to posting on a regular basis; you know we worry when we don't hear from you.
Betty, you know it's too hard to stay away, this is exactly where you need to be when you feel like withdrawing. You know the saying "when one door shuts, another one opens," so with giving your notice, it's bound to open the door to another job; I'll keep my fingers crossed that the perfect one comes up soon. Thanks for the coffee, I'm drinking as I read. Oh, Ramen noodles make a cheap dinner too. I see Charlene told you that but I have recipes for ramen noodle casseroles so it incorporate broccoli too.
Peter, sorry about your fingers. It's hard to type like that isn't it? Hope it's better tomorrow.
Nicki, I like the new you (didn't know the old one but bet I would have liked her too). Has it been almost a year since this thread was started....wow, time goes fast.
Kristin, I hope the new job is all you want and need it to be.
Jazz, thanks for the pink goop explanation (it was me who asked), now I know what it is.
Marsha, hope you are the first patient for the US today. I worried about that when I had my colonoscopy....today I'm taking my sis for hers. Oh, you should post the Pinkstock quiz so we can read it.
Time to get moving. I get to stay home sick today since I'm taking my sis for her colonoscopy (who has made their appointments??? - I think Shirley has one coming up soon) and then I'll work from home. While sis is getting her procedure I'm going for my post assessment for boot camp so I'll get to see what the results are. Know what I just heard? Because of the foreclosure rates, 30% cash is now needed for a first time buyer - they said here in the Bay Area, that means $200,000 cash upfront to put down on a house. One of my kids has a house but I worry that the othe two will never be able to afford to buy here.
Everyone from Amy to Z have a good day.
Margaret -
oh My dear peter...just ask the girls, I don't think you can find Ischua anywhere...lol...Triple A (AAA)couldn't get them there neither could Google...lol...I warned you all but did you listen...lol....
Gus, still waiting for the name change to GUZ...lol...ms Mcsquirrel.....
to clarify...Crazy Bob, is my weekend neighbor, he visits the Hill to get away from the city, and loves a great party...but not the hangover...lol...
and to all those that egged him on...lol...was waiting for him to cut down the big pine tree and trow it on the fire...
thank you again...especially for the smiles today...MB -
Morning everyone. I'm getting ready to head home from OKC.
Hugs -
Hey ladies, I will post the Circle Girls 20 Questions on the Pinkstock thread. That way with all the posting it won't get lost. Please know it was 20 questions so if I left you out it wasn't intentional! AND I gave a hint that said "the answers are NOT at Pinkstock" but I was wrong about a couple of them. OOPS hehehehe
-
I'm hungry!
Hope everyone's having a good day
My BC survivor friend just found out she has a melamona on her lumpectomy breast that they said was caused by radiation...it's not invasive thank god...and her pet scan for today was canceled because idiots at the dr. office didn't get it pre approved from insurance
Annoying....just had to vent. -
GOOD Morning, sweet sisters/bro's
Had something on my mind (not loss of a/c - which is still working this morning- YEAH) and got up early. I read in a book, washed the car and came to check on all of you. In a little bit will be having lunch with some dear lady friends. I'm playing "hooky" today at work. We have a small place in the NC mountains and I drove up late yesterday - after we got the air going again. When I got up this morning it was 65 - I think it is supposed to be around 88 here today - humidity is high too - but easier to handle than the 100 at home with high humidity. I am so looking forward to lunch after the day I had yesterday.
Charlene, I can't get in my clothes either but it isn't coming from larger breast by fills. Don't let it get bother you to much, after what we go through, I kind of think we deserve some new duds!!!
Suz, thank you for the pictures. I believe everyone enjoyed the Glenda dress. Will someone please tell me why it got the name "glenda dress"??
Mercy, Crazy Bob did enjoy big fires!!!!! Bet it got kind of toasty around that fire.
Marsha, live in Hickory, NC. Have a small place around Crossnore, NC, about 25 minutes from Boone. I know Boone well and enjoy there and Blowing Rock, NC. We are trying to decide what to do when and IF we can ever sell the restaurant - come here/add on/ or sell and stay in Hickory. Some very BIG decisions ahead but have about another year to decide - so far we just keep going back and forth. We are an hour from Hickory when we come here - we haven't had a week off in 10 years now and coming here is as close as we get to one. The mountains are my stress relief valve - I will have to share some pictures of my flowers here with you guys, as they have had rain here and the dew of the morning is significant too.
Jasmine, I felt kind of "lost" when my chemo and rads ended. I never felt my lump and the surgeon couldn't find it either when I first saw him and for months I worried about that and being turned "loose"
Robin, that was so good of you to offer to take Janice to her appointment. Glad to see you post more often.
Puppy, Gina - hope you both are feeling better.
Betty, sorry about your job. Do try to carry the COBRA - the other sisters gave you wonderful advice on that one. It will be worth paying for it in the long run.
Hello, Miss Carrie!!!!!!!
Ok, time to go find something to eat - shower and off to see my friends. Wish we all could just have lunch and talk and laugh - well Cheri, guess that will happen at your place.
Everyone have a simply wonderful day. I do enjoy this circle and what we all bring here.
Hugs, Brenda -
Brenda, how cool, sounds like you guys are around the same area. She still has a lot of friends there and goes up quite often. Maybe they eat in your restaurant! I'll ask her what the name of her place was. First time I ever snow ski'd was in Boone a million years ago. I prefer the West cause I'm not that good at skiing on ice. hahaha Marsha
-
Brenda,
Not sure how it started, but I believe Glenda is the good witch in the Wizard of Oz and somehow Vickie was playing Glenda. Vickie will have to tell you the story. Have fun with your friends today - glad the AC is still working.
Yes Crazy Bob liked BIG fires - felt like you could get sun burned sitting near it. Said it wasn't a good fire unless he had you moving away from it 10 times! He was a hoot.
Charlene - so sorry about your niece. Her artwork is amazing.
Peter - can I say OUCH. Gives me the shivers just thinking about that. Hope you feel better soon.
Okay - got to get back to work. BBL.
Hugs to all from A to Z.
Suz -
Good morning everyone, getting a late start today.didnt sleep well last night at all.
Thank you margaret and charlen for thinking of me it means alot to know i am thought of and loved.
I cant wait to get together with jankay we will have a ball and i really need to get out of here for a while.
Be back later. -
Hey all
Yikes! Didn't sleep at all last night, fell asleep about 5am and of course the phone rang at 8:15! Read quickly, but didn't take notes (I feel like that's all I ever say lately!!!)
Margaret - You're exactly right, it was well worth it! Thanks for thinking of me.
Everyone else - have a great day (what's left of it!) -
Morning All,
Just a quick stop in the circle (because my desk is covered with work).....hot flash time today due to the stress....
I hope you all have a GRAND day...
Hugs from A to Z -
Madison glad to see I'm not the only one who can't stay away even if our desk's are loaded down...lol...but remember my street corners are a little vacant to collect $$$ in..so we may have to bring our tin cups to your house...lol....
MB -
Has anyone heard from Beth lately? I thought I had her phone number but dont know what i did with it.
-
Hello everyone. I have been lurking on this thread for a year. I have posted a few times but I just can't keep up. I just wanted to let you all know that I love reading your stuff. I think you are all great. I had a riot on the pinkstock thread over the week-end and even learned how to post images from other places. Maybe I can get an avatar on here finally. I guess I am just trying to get started on this thread and see if I can keep up. Since there is another Brenda on this thread I will be BrendaBMD when I post here.

The end of treatment was the worst time for me. It was such a let down of a year of seeing at least one or two doctors each week. It seemed like after rads were finished, they dropped me off at the curb and waved and said 'good luck with that cancer thing...keep in touch"! I know that's not what happened but it sure did feel that way. The safety net of having the doctor/nurses close at hand was suddenly gone and I was on my own again. There was no one there to tell me what to do next or how to start getting on with my life. I'm glad you already have things on your calendar. Time to get on with 'living like you are living' a long long time...
I felt exactly the same way after my rads! -

Whew! No wonder the CA's are moving to Colorado and Oklahoma. Our paper said recently a family from CA sold their house in CA came here to Tulsa and bought a house 3 times as big and had money left over for other things from the proceeds of their CA home! We were able to buy a 5 acre ranch here because it was under $90,000 in 94'with a 3 bedroom 2 bath home with garage and a simple metal barn (apx 1,500 sq ft)
Looks like we will be flying to CA whenever our marine son has surgery. I think he will see the surgeon this week. This will be my first time ever in California so plan to spend a little time exploring in the few days we will be there.

Afternoon!
Cheri: Did you see my post where I said it was me you were talking to Sat. Night? I had lost my voice and sounded really squeaky...........or sexy..........take your pick! I am sooooo happy that you got your cast off and got your loose screw fixed too!! I know Susan has promised you a lunch or something now that you can leave the house!! Has Amber heard anything yet?
Nicki: You sound good!! Glad to see you sent off another resume........sounds good and you are a caring, compassionate person!! Two requirements for your type of work! Glad you enjoyed your day with your Sister....Groucho Marx eyebrows!!!! To Funny!
Okay......one of MB's Boys had a lizard as a pet......I came out of the bathroom and everyone is standing there with cameras..........nothing suspicious here! I actually held the critter.........then he started moving his tongue in and out real quick on my arm.........ewwwwwww...........!!
Suz: I'm glad your neighbor is okay...........and you almost did it too! I took some paint off of the Husbands car a few years back by pulling out of the garage!!
Alwayshope: So glad your dog was happy to see you!! Puke and all! Our Dog has a way of saying "you left me" too! Usually in the form of "piles" on the carpet.....so gross! So far she hasn't blessed us with the punishment for leaving her this time!
I've still got my itty bitty afghan square!!!!
I'll be back in a bit......buzzer on dryer calling my name!
Hugs,
Denise -
Jasmine:I felt the same way last year when my treatment ended and again in may when the chemo stopped.but i still have herceptin every 3 weeks and get to see my onc then also. But I do understand how you felt you and wild/jan to.
Its like you run here and there see this doctor and that doctor in the hospital out of the hospital and all at once boom there you are left alone or so it feels.
I just wish I could find a way to shake this depression.I try so hard but it always comes back.I have a number for a counselor in town didnt even know we had one nearby until I asked.think i will go see her. This horse is about to much for me to handle alone. -
where is peter going? what in the world did I miss?
-
Charlene, Blessings and special thoughts to you. The artwork above is amazing.......as was your niece, I'm sure.
Hugs,
Denise -
But Peter..what about our WTH pic thread? Who's going to share photos with me..I'll miss you....don't go off the site
-
Wild/Jan-- where in California are you going to be. There are several of us in the San Diego area. I am some of us could meet with you if you are in the area. Sorry to hear your son has to have surgery. I hope he is O.K. You are right about the housing in CA. I am a Realtor here and many families are having to buy houses together in order to own one. There are so many foreclosures on the market right now it is crazy. It has not been like this since the early 90's. My sister moved from here to OK last year for that very reason.
-
-
I just hit some button and lots my whole post!!!! Lets see if I can start over!!! ugh!!
Tricia - sorry about your pet habitat. Hope you and DH enjoy your day together today after your fill.
Brenda - enjoy your day off. Sure hope the AC gets straightened out. What type of restaurant?
Angel - I bought tops one and two sizes too big last summer after my fills - I was over expanded and lopsided. Now I find myself giving some away as they are way too big. I am pretty much the same size as before BC which was my goal (or smaller). All the best to you.
Carrie - hello stranger - long time no see! hope all is well with you.
Colleen - did you get lots of hugs from Warren? HOw was his trip with the grandparents?
Pam - congrats to son on his apt. My 18 year old son talks about getting his own apt with a couple friends but I am happy that he is still in his basement apt at home.
Betty - you are a strong woman. I know what you did was not an easy decision, but congrats!! That takes a lot of courage. And all the follow up you did, wow!!. I know things will work out for the best. Good luck to you.
Nicki - Leah was on human growth hormones as a teenager as she stopped growing when she hit puberty. She was just 4'7" at over 13 and they said without HGH she would only get to 4'9" max. Today she is 4'11 1/2". But Craig and I wonder if the HGH had anything to do with the large boosoms. I guess we will never know. She was part of the decision and I guess we never asked about boobs!! Who knew!!!
Kristin - happy to hear the new job is good.
Alwayshope - don'[t we just love when our pets leave us presents!!! Our living/dining room carpet is old, but while we were on vacation, the dogs stained it so bad, that now we have to replace it - it is so embarrassing. Son was taking care of the dogs, but I don't think he always got up early enough with them. HIs bedroom is in the basement and the dogs don't go downstairs. They just go to the door when they want out. HOpe the pooch is feeling better.
MArsha - good luck with the pelvic ultrasound. I had a couple last year and they were fairly painless. Wishing good results.
I've left lots of gals out. I am hoping that everyone is staying cool, feeling good and sending a great big hug to our Gina, NS, CY and everyone else who still is in treatment. Glad to hear that everyone is home safe and sound from Pinkstock. Amy to Z - I love you all. Karen in Denver -
Thanks Karen. She is fine she was just over excited to be home. She's back to her old spoiled self now barking demands at me... 'let me out', 'i need water', 'where's my food', 'what's that you're eating, give it to me'....
-
Well, I'm waiting on some feedback from a reviewer, so thought I'd pop in and try to catch up...
Jas - Yeah, me too, that whole, "OK, you're all set now" thing was just so weird to wrap my head around. Especially my (well-meaning) friends who were so exicted that I was, "all done and all better now"
Charlene - Your neice's artwork is incredible, I'm so sorry you lost her at such a young age. I'm cheating off your post (thanks for being so thorough!) cause I've been really skimming the last couple of days.
So, thanks to Charlene, I also:
welcome Melody and Elaine and say hello to Carrie (is that CSP Carrie? I think so!)
Vickie - Need to go back and find out the story of the new avatar, so glad you had a wonderful birthday surprise - I can't think of anyone who deserves to be treated like a princess more than you! (OK, well, except all of us...LOL)
Peter - sleep study, my friend had one of those, he cracked up because the first question I asked was, "what are you going to wear?" LOL
Pam - proud of Miles, so congrats to you, need to look that one up too!
Suz - OK so Sue/Gus became Suz and/or Guz right? I'm thinking this had something to do with blue drinks? LOL
Iris darling - how are you my friend? Just seeing your name makes me smile!
Robin - glad to see you, we were all missing you
Betty - yes, good for you, you need to take the bull by the horns and do what feels good and right for you every so often - I'm sorry you have to go through this, but glad to hear you're removing yourself from that unhealthy work situation
Amy - oh my goodness, too cute!
Marsha - I remember when I had to have an US and drink all the water when I was only 6 weeks pregnant, my husband picked out the coldest bottle he could find (trying to be sweet) and then they were running WAY behind - it was not good! Hope you had room temperature water that cooperated and stayed in your body for a while and efficient techs!
Jan - how did the workout go? at least you're doing something!
Margaret - how did your sister's appt go?
MB - sounds like you might be able to develop a sitcom with Crazy Bob as the main character! He could get into silly sitcom trouble every week as he started bigger and bigger bonfires LOL
Liz - Safe travels home
Emelee - sorry about your friend, hope she gets that appt rescheduled very soon
Brenda - hope you enjoyed your "spa day" (that's what I call it when I play hooky) and had a great lunch with your friend
Suzfive - whoops, confused you with Sue/Gus (that's what I get for cheating off of Charlene's post!)
Darn it all, I just got to my 11:30am post, but I have to get back to work. Well, at least I caught up a little...
Bugs and fishes to everyone I missed - A to Z
Hi Nickie!!
