The Bridge game was fun! If you ever want to put things in perspective, I have a friend that has really been through it for the past nine months. First she had her knee replaced. It went well, but it took a while to really get her stride back. Then her daughter (40 years old) had a massive heart attack. The daughter had lymphoma in her early 20’s. Due to receiving the incorrect amount of radiation, she also had breast cancer and a double mastectomy in her 30’s. Now a massive heart attack. She ended up with an LVad. It is an externalartificial heart pump complete with a battery pack that has to charge overnight. They are not meant to last along term and this one was not doing so well. She went to Duke to wait for a heart transplant. Two weeks ago she got a heart! The daughter is out of the hospital and living in an apartment close to the hospital. She is doing great and could be coming home to her three kids by the end of the month. The human body is an amazing machine.

ChiSandy - your Israel trip sounds way beyond the usual touristy tour. Love that you are seeing so much of the food and culture.

Have the reunion Friday and Saturday. I have not been to any of my high school reunions. My husband still lives in the same town where he went to school. In fact, we live in the same house he lived in growing up! High School is a big thing around here. Of the 400 or so graduates, over 200 are coming to the festivities.

Chemo in the AM so no DOTD for me. I will make up for that later! Hope all have a great weekend.

Chi Sandy- your trip is going great. Yes, I have had the fresh food you speak of. I loved Jerusalem, incredible place rich with history for all. Enjoy Tel Aviv (I remember we went to a diamond cutting facility there but was young and had little spending money so no diamonds then for me....)

JCS Librarian- oh what that woman and her family went through. Yes, the human body is amazing what it can recover from. I know it personally for myself too with multiple health issues in 2012 that probably should have killed me but didn't? So much to be grateful for every day.......

    Okay, more pics for Cami.....

Good Morning, Loungettes!Happy TGIF day! Another cold day with wind chill reports, but at least the sun should be out today. Boy, winter is really hanging on with teeth and toenails this year. The wind was really blowing yesterday, the Jeep was just rocking in the parking lot after work. Trees were moving more than I've seen them move in a long time. Supposed to be less windy today, but still enough to have to pay attention to. Even Sadie picked her head up and looked around at some of the bigger gusts. At least all the snow and the long cold is supposed to keep the tick population down this coming summer.

Jazzy--Wow, what a trip! Sounds like you had a great time. I am getting used to the new routine and Sadie seems to be adapting, too. Things haven't really started greening up here, yet, but the snow is melting off, so things are browning up, I guess I'd say. It's still progress and I'll take it! It may be a while before mowing starts, but at least there won't be any more snow plowing.

    Cammy--Poor Kitty!

Goldie--It's no problem not being able to sit on the bed comfortably, I've got a chair that works perfectly well.I'm trying to get Sadie to use the chair as a step, but she's not catching on yet. I'll keep working at it. Last I heard about the zoo is that a mass exodus had started. I got a text asking if I was going to stay active on the employee list and if so I need to get my education done. I've got to answer and say "no" and take back the tablet and other equipment. I keep forgetting to take the stuff back, need to get it out of the back of the Jeep. It's so hard when a loved one dies after a long illness. So many conflicting emotions.

Cammy--I have a new mattress on my bed, it's a 14 inch memory foam mattress, so the bed is now much higher than it used to be. It's a bigger jump up for Sadie, and I have to hop up a bit to sit on the side.I generally just lean on the side and roll into bed now! I feel badly for Leslie. She should be able to have a hysterectomy if that's what she wants, as long as she understands all the potential complications and aftereffects, which I'm sure she does. As to the genetic thing, an honest doc will admit they don't know all the genetic mutations that cause bc, heck, they don't even really know how or why cancer starts to begin with! Woops, you said the BRCA testing was positive--that should be a free ticket for an hysterectomy if that's what she wants. You are lucky to have a niece (niece-in-law?) whose willing to help you with your shower. She is so sweet to do that, she must be a wonderful person.

Chi--I am LOLing at the mental picture of the kitties BARKING for food and attention! They must have been around dogs to learn that?

Jazzy--Good advice for Goldie for her DD. And good reminder about grieving being a process that takes time.

Muddling--that's quite the trick--taking off your name tag and wandering around like that! I bet you heard some hilarious stories.

Chi--you sure are seeing and experiencing a lot! The eating tour sounds like it was really fun. I can just imagine wandering around an exotic place getting stuffed and buzzed. I bet the Bat Mitzvah at the Western Wall will be memorable, and so special for the woman.

Librarian--your friend really has been through a time and a half! It's good to have so many people come to your reunion. Around here we have to have multiple year reunions to get enough people to come to make it worthwhile! My class was one of the biggest to go through the school system here, there were around 100 of us.

Jazzy--Love the alien! And the Robbie the Robot with the ice cream! The Gila wilderness is incredible. Rock formations always fascinate me. Ah, hot springs, makes me miss my hot tub! Neat old theater, love the colors.

    Illi--Pretty margaritas!

    Morning, Cammy!

    Mornin' Ladies.

Muddling I reallu like ur attitude for a reunion, just jump in and go for it. Lots more fun than just standing there next to DH nd being polite.

JC what a horror for her DD to get a heart transplant. To me that is the worst waiting and then going thru it. One of my cousins has had that about 2 yrs. ago and is doing great, she's in her 50"s but I never told her how scared I was just thinking about it. And all this chemo and crap that goes with it, it's like a cycle that's hard to break. Going home for her will be a super happy day.

Jazzy I will not leave it alone, with or without clothes, hmm good question, now if I were in my 30's I would have more nerve but maybe to shy, 40's not as shy but not looking as good. 50' and 60's might do it, why not. Now who cares I'd do it, why not it would be a first for me and I would imagine how everyone would scatter so I'd have the place to myself. Ur pics are amazing, and u do so much in just a short time, just love it.

Lori I think I read u were coming home Thursday and of course u have to stress to Jennifer how important it is, even if she feels ok, doesn't mean a thing. I'm sure she'll be fine, but I would think that cut would really stop her from doing a lot. It's all in such a painful place for movement. Im so glad ur able to go home Monday and then it's ur turn to unwind and try to relax and just gather ur wits about u. It's been so hard for u <<<HUGS>>>

Wow Sandy ur knocking me out here, I'm having a lot of trouble keeping up. But u sound great and so much to do and good food and of course drink. The history ur seeing is amazing, I figure some very sad but some enjoying too. And how are all the people with you, R they nice and fun so u can enjoy as much as possible. Ur keeping up is great, but a cat that barks??? Those animals there re scary to me. I'm looking forward to see all of the pics <as usual> and food to, don't forget that.

Illi those drinks look amazing, good enough to drink all of them. Go for it, for sure.

Jazy I doubt we'll ever go out...their hearts are always in the bestest of places but time wise there just isn't enough. Dan and I talked on the phone last nite for 2 hrs. then by the time I actually fell asleep it was really late. Forgetting the man who does all the phones today is off meaning I do it all. Wow I used to do it, but I'm so out of practice to keep up all of this. I already started my day with a 4am call, meaning I have to nap, but I won't be able to and it actually has me nervous about doing this. A couple of years back I was good, but a lot has happened and I'm just not the same. Well we'll see.

I try not to eat meat on Friday during Lent, but if it's in front of me I'll go for it and I'm not even a big meat fan, but when I was a kid every friday was no meat and there were no choices. Good thing Italian recipes could always have fish in them then, I don't see as many now a days. Of course I don't look for any either.

    LUBS U ALL

In the pewl again, jeez I should be clean. OK Kim I know that kind of bed, they're so high it's kind of funny. Leslie has one When they go out and sleep over wherever Joey and I sleep in their bed but it's so much fun to get into. I sit at the edge Joey get my leg one at a time and I scoot over and I'm in. hahaha...but it is comfy after u get all set up in it. So I get it for Sadie.

Good morning ladies- TGIF, we made it! Had a good day settling in and just gave myself a day off the road and without driving which was a good thing to do. Got the yard watered, unpacked and laundry done, some bills paid. Also talked to my atty about this new contract I was offered (problems there) and will have some decisions to make today about this new work. Got a call coming up this morning to talk to the prime on this new gig.

NM- your new bed sounds dreamy. Glad you are enjoying it and getting used to the new job. Do you feel detached from the old job yet? I know when you have been a place for awhile, it takes time. I was at this last gig for six months and really feel done with it already. It takes me longer to get go on longer contracts.

JCS- I have been reading up on that new immunotherapy drug. Those types of drugs seem to have really helped a lot of other people with other types of cancer and been waiting and watching to see something come for us bc gals. This is for triple negative as I understand it, correct? If i read it right, not something you will do now?

Cami- okay so here is the story about the "clothing optional" pools. I was not planning on going in to them, but the public pools were limited enough I needed more. So I told myself to check out the other ones, but no girlfriend, I did not take off my suit. I have had enough surgeries and a big dent in one of the girls where I had a lumpectomy that I don't care to have any questions about things. There was no one in there when I first went, then I left to get something from the car and came back to find three middle aged people there. I told myself "Jazzy you are not a prude" so I went in and visited with them. A very buff man (yes I noticed) and a middle aged couple. They were very nice and I sat there in my suit with the nudies and we had good conversation about travel, hot springs, etc. I will say I am not a prude, but am also private about my own body these days. One has to be careful where they look when dipping with the naked ones (my sister said you have to be careful with hands and feet in the water too, lol).

I plan to get some exercise today, some groceries and need a flat of pansies to get my pots started. It has been warm the past month, but it did snow here sunday after I left town and always wait until April for pansies. I have some new perennials but keeping them in pots for now. I love getting back in the gardens and also have more pruning to do.

Wishing everyone a good slide in to the weekend!

My husband has been gone now for 6 months, I still have waves of tearing up and feeling bad, but mostly am doing ok and feel like I am living again instead of just being a robot day in and day out. I went on the cruise that he had planned with my cousin. She and I had so much fun, it was just as comfortable as when we were kids staying at each others home. I drank a different drink each time to get to taste some that I never had before. Apparently I am one of those people who can drink different drinks without getting sick. We ate good (of course) and was busy all the time so never seemed to drink too much.

Chi and Jazzy - I love hearing about your trips. I love when you share the pictures. Jazzy your pictures were great! I would love to see the caves that people use to live in. I bet they were in a lot better shape than we are today!

Goldie - I hope your daughter is feeling better, I am glad that you were with her. I am sorry for the loss of your mom, but I think you all knew she was ready to go.

Illi- your drinks always looks like you are vacation every day!

Cami - You and your poor daughter has gone through so much. I hope that your daughter starts healing and feels better soon.

NM - I hope you will stop having snow and spring will come and let you and Sadie enjoy the outside. I am glad that you like your new job. The old one must be getting pretty desperate if they lost so many people.

JCS- I am glad that you get together with your friends for card games and I hope you survive the reunion and have fun.

Fascinating pictures, Jazzy. Gotta laugh about being the only covered-up person at a clothing-optional pool. Years ago, when I was in a trio with a Wiccan and a Pagan, we got invited to perform at a co-ed Pagan nudist festival—but without clothes. Of course, guitars would have covered the embarrassing bits, but nonetheless we declined. Speaking of caves, between Jerusalem & Masada we passed the caves at Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. We were too tightly scheduled to stop, but in 1992 our interfaith tour group did. One of the reasons I’m not taking as many pix now is that I still have several mini-VHS cassettes from the last trip, which I plan to have digitized. Meanwhile, the HEIC-vs. JPEG struggle continues—I promise that when I get home to my regular laptop I will post everything in chronological order.

Alas, I slept in and missed the Bat Mitzvahs (another woman—my age!—decided why the heck not) at the Wall. Of course, it had to be half a football-field away from the wall itself (couldn’t be at the women’s section because the rabbi was male and the spectators were co-ed; women rabbis are verboten in Orthodox Judaism, the only denomination legally recognized there). Now, one technically automatically becomes Bar or Bat Mitzvah (“son or daughter of the Covenant,” with full adult religious obligations) at 12 for girls and 13 for boys; by then, they’ve spent several years in Sunday school (for Orthodox boys, it’s daily) learning Hebrew, the Bible & its history, liturgy & theology. The culmination is leading Friday night services and then reading a “parsha,” or Torah portion (corresponding to the weekly part of the Torah being read worldwide on that date). Minimum requirement is three full sentences of Hebrew (most kids do far more), and then the “haftarah,” or corresponding post-Torah biblical passage. It’s okay to recite it, even in English; but most kids learn how to chant it using ancient melodies keyed to the diacritical markings on the Hebrew letters.

But I grew up ultra-Reform (basically secular/cultural) in a neighborhood where most of us were the same but too poor to afford to join the Reform temple a mile away; and the Orthodox girls weren’t allowed to study Torah—their religious obligation was to make a proper Jewish home (and be fruitful and multiply). So I didn’t have a Bat Mitzvah until we’d moved to Chicago, had Gordy, and started him in Sunday school at our nearby Reform Temple—which had a coed adult “Anshe Mitzvah” year-long program during which eight of us studied together and then had our ceremonies—four each on Friday & Saturday. I was 38. The women on our tour didn’t even have that program at their temples. And in Jerusalem, if you pay a rabbi, he will have you repeat phrases of the parsha, sort of like taking the Oath of Office, and then give you the ancient “priestly blessing” (if you remember Mr. Spock’s split-finger “live long and prosper” gesture, well, Leonard Nimoy got that from his uncle who was a rabbi). No prior instruction necessary. No handshakes, of course: Orthodox men may not touch women not their wife (nor even their wife from day one of her period till she’s been ritually purified a week later by dunking in a “Mikva”—from which the concept of baptism evolved). About half the group walked there to bear witness and cheer the women on. The parsha was from Leviticus...the litany of thou-shalt-nots. Not exactly fun & games or even storytelling,. And all in Hebrew. As gifts, the Bar Association gave them souvenir fountain pens (for decades, the traditional gift for Bar Mitzvah boys was either a top-of-the-line Parker or Sheaffer; the prototypical Bar Mitzvah speech begins “today I am a man;” but the joke is that it’s really “today I am a fountain pen.” Or, these days, an iPad).

We took the Hatzalah tour, which was as inspirational as it sounded in my prior post; though the gist of it was to get us to consider donations (which can be pretty steep). We finally checked into the Intercontinental in Tel Aviv; to my chagrin, I found the room had no Nespresso machine like the ones in Amsterdam & Jerusalem. Instead, an electric kettle and a fistful of Nescafé packets (ugh). So I reamed out a Nespresso capsule from my stash, and made “cowboy coffee” (not too bad, certainly better than instant though the first few sips were sorta “chewy”). That was DOTD #1. We walked through the nearby Carmel Market and found a blissfully non-kosher dim sum/sushi/Pad Thai joint and knocked back a few seltzers.

I was beginning to get a very scratchy throat (it was inevitable), so I went back to the room to nap. A bunch of folks were planning to walk to Jaffa for some seafood or Arab cuisine, but something in my Brooklyn-kid past was whispering to me “matzo ball soup...NOW!” Jewish penicillin, of course. As part of the hotel’s lavish Shabbat buffet, that was DOTD#2. And numero tres was a nice Barkan (Golan Heights) Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon. Dinner came with a little bottle of sweet Concord grape wine for the kiddush, but I just wasn’t feeling it, and left it on the table. My waitress insisted I take a second plate of desserts back up to my room, which (thank goodness) has a mini-fridge.

Oh, and though I’d been led to believe that only Jerusalem was overwhelmingly observant, this hotel is every bit as kosher. The hot dishes on the buffet had to be started before sunset; everything else on the menu till sunset tomorrow is cold. And no cappuccino or espresso at the bar on Shabbat: the machine is not rabbinically-approved. Oy. (Looks like I will be walking to Jaffa for shellfish for lunch). It’ll be a nice walk along the beach—supposed to hit 70+ again

Jazzy even when u go on vacay u never stop and when u come home u never stop---bless you. Luv the pics. and thinking about them is even more amazing, people were actually there. Wow---history is amazing.

Sandy u another one ur post was so interesting to me I really enjoyed reading it. And I thought of my dad, he was such a history person and for whatever reason He really was always interested in Jewish history, so I remembered many things that he used to talk about, not in ur detail but still they were buried in my memory. It was nice for me. Now I can't wait to see ur pics. BTW when do u return to Chicago??? I forgot of course.

Misty I'm so glad u went on the cruise, sounds wonderful. It's good to laugh and celebrate life..And I agree, Illi always has a drink that looks like she's at a party every day. good for her.

Hi friends- happy Saturday! I was out early to meet a friend at a coffee place that is new-ish and heard was awesome. A friend from my yoga retreats and after seeing each other a couple times the past few years, we decided we wanted to connect more than once a year. We both love to travel and find ourselves in similar places. She was in the same area I went to in San Deigo in January last month and now she is off to Denver where I will be visiting next month. Good coffee and conversation. I brought home something called "aged sumatra" for the home coffee needs. Looking forward to that tomorrow!

Cami- I was VERY slow waking up this morning and think my body is coming off the busy contract, the trip, etc. Tomorrow morning I plan to sleep in. Today is a full day with morning things and heading to Home Depot next for some pansies for the pots.

Undercover- glad we can help. Mistyeyes here lost her husband suddenly and think on top of cancer, it is just another really hard thing to deal with. You keep taking good care of yourself and stay here with us to lurk, post, feel sad, laugh at our antics or whatever else you may need to do.

Mistyeyes- you sound like you are doing better all the time. Although I have not lost a spouse, I have lost people in my life that make it hard for me to want to get out and do much. But somehow, we have to find our way through to a new normal without people in our lives the way we had them. It all takes time so you just keep doing what you need to as you are able.

One of my fav jazz artists is here in town again tonight, an up and coming artist by the name of Lindsey Webster. She was here a couple years ago and got to meet her too (did a selfie, lol) and she is back again. Her collaborator husband is on the keyboards, but they have since split but are still doing music together. I think that is admirable.

I hope folks in the northern part of the hemisphere are seeing more signs of spring. It is getting greener here all the time!

My cold is really ramping up. I wasted a lovely mild sunny day yesterday lying in bed in my hotel room, napping & hydrating. But it was Shabbat, so anything I wanted to see or visit was closed. Finally made it to a Super-Pharm for some zinc & the Israeli equivalent of Airborne.

Went to a little restaurant In the “hipster" trendy part of Tel Aviv called Suzana, so my DsOTD were Airborne and a flute of a reserve cava. As with all open-air urban Israeli restaurants, feral cats abounded and had free rein. (They do have a really good trap-spay/neuter-ear tip-release program here, so there is no rat problem at all). They had the telltale ear-tip, so they were OK to roamabout. One was particularly brazen—tapping my thigh, mewing softly and giving me the slow-eye-blink. It was all I could do not to slip him a bite of fish, but it was just too expensive.

Getting a late checkout and then taking a free a short city tour, ending up (of course) at the diamond center. So that I don't repeat my mistake of 1992 (Bob warned me this time not to buy any diamonds), I am practicing my sales resistance “no thanks...my husband would kill me" spiel.

My flight isn't till almost midnight, but to my chagrin they won't even open security & bag check till 3 hrs ahead. And the Delta-affiliated lounge is in the wrong terminal. Hoping the VAT refund desk is open, though. Will likely have a light bite back at the hotel before retrieving my bags and heading to the airport.

If all goes well, I land at JFK at 5:30am Mon., go through my GlobalEntry interview and Customs, then TSA, then the jitney to Terminal 2 for my flight to ORD (there's a small Delta lounge, but nothing like the Xanadu in Terminal 4). Should be home by 2, upon which I will spend a few hours watching the inside of my eyelids.

    Mornin' ladies.

Well Sandy u answered my question...Whoa this has flown by for sure. U covered a lot in a shorter time than I thought. What a wonderful trip and soon the pics.

OK Jazzy at least u had to stop a little, but come on not that much. Now when will this new job be happening??? If I member correctly it won't be for a few weeks, so u can finish up all the odds a nd ends u need to,.

Dara is putting a lot of hrs., in where she works, but she still like it so that's good.

I worked yesterday and the day couldn't sleep all nite this nite, so I'll probably be napping on and off all day. I really hate that before,, I get so screwed up. Then Jazzy I think of u cuz if I go out like 3PM and get home around 9pm it takes me 2 full days to recoup, even if I have a good nite's sleep. It's just a long time and I don't know why this is underlining my words. I must have hit something. Oh well

Chi - my flight last week was at 11:55pm Delta TLV to JFK and the VAT was open. Everything was open. No liquids were allowed so we even had to empty water bottles before secondary security unless you had a receipt for you water bottle. The airport is actually quite busy still. And the Delta flight was packed!!! Safe travels back to the states.

I survived the reunion weekend! My husband really enjoyed himself. I will have to take some time away from alcohol as I took advantage of having an open bar. I am tired from all the standing and talking. It is rainy today so will probably spend most of the day sitting on the couch reading while wrapped in my blanket. Tomorrow I will go to the Apple store in Charlotte and window shop at the fancy mall with a friend

I am looking forward to watching the Lady Bears play their championship game as well as the Texas Tech Red Raiders. The football state of Texas is finally recognizing B-ball!

Hope everyone has had a great weekend. Let’s take some time to rest today while we look forward to the week to come.

Good morning friends- happy funday Sunday! I have a t-shirt that says that now, but save it for outings vs. wearing it around home. The crazy plant lady went to Home Depot yesterday to get a cart full of pansies and a few other flowers. Getting those in the front yard outside pots this weekend and also pruning more shrubs and bushes. The perrenials won't go in to the ground for another week. We will be safer from frost by then. Love watching the yard and gardens come alive with greenery. The remaining trees are starting to come out now. We have a long spring here, starts end of Feb/early March and goes into Memorial Day before everything is fully out. Ahh choo!

Chi- sorry to hear about the cold but it sounds like you are dealing with the symptoms with OTC meds. I know flying with a cold is no fun though. Safe travels friend. Sounds like an amazing trip with good weather too!

Cami- if we are able to finalize this contract, I will be starting a week from tomorrow. Not much of a break between these two contracts but it will be enough to have had my little trip, and get a lot done around the house. I have a to do list of things I need to get done this coming week, but also may try to get up to Santa Fe for an afternoon one day too. I had wanted to go in March and have not been there in awhile, but too busy. Tax stuff done, contract stuff almost done, and just need to be sure everything else is in place. I told myself I could also go next Sunday too once everything is wrapped up and before we begin the new gig.

Thanks for telling us Dara is doing okay. We don't see her hear much, and don't see her on FB much either. But I know any new work is busy to ramp up on. Glad she is doing well!

NM- what are you and Sadie up to this weekend?

Goldie- I hope you are home soon and that your DD is doing better all the time. I know there is more to deal with. The year my mother passed is also the same year my sister and I got diagnosed with cancer. As we have learned, problems no longer come in threes but more like six packs these days. I hope you can get some rest when you get home but know this may also be a busy time for your business too. Next time I go down to Silver City, I want to swing up to visit you!

Okay ladies, have a good day! I am off to the yoga mat and then to make banana nut pancakes for breakfast!

Good Morning, Loungettes!Happy Monkey day! Looks like I missed the entire weekend on the boards! Not sure how that happened, except that I got a lot of stuff done around the house. Was supposed to get up to snow and a messy commute this ayem, but the snow has yet to arrive. Should arrive around noontime, now, still saying 4 to 6 inches. Another dose of poor man's fertilizer for this year's crops. Sadie had a grand time in the mud yesterday, she won't be happy to see more snow, even if it doesn't last long.

Cammy--I think I was in high school before I realized that meat-free Fridays was a religious/cultural thing and not just a local tradition. Mom always said that it made meal planning for the week a little easier, she always knew Friday dinner would be fish or spaghetti.Hmm, seems we had meat sauce on the spaghetti, so I guess that really didn't count! Yup, the new bed being so much higher is quite a workout to get into and out of, I still haven't found a graceful way to do that, but I manage. And it is really comfy!

Jazzy--It's odd, but I do feel pretty detached from the old job already. I realized the other day just how toxic that office environment really is and how much it was dragging me down. The new place is very different, we aren't all up in each other's private lives and once I'm given a project I'm also given the tools and equipment and information I need to do it well. I really feel like I am making a contribution, and have been adopted by 4 new Grandmas as a bonus! I think it's wonderful that you went to the clothing optional pool, and that you were welcomed and accepted with your suit on. I don't think preferring to not go unclothed is the same as being a prude. If you were a prude you would never have gone there in the first place!

Misty--Good for you for going on the cruise! It must have taken some effort to do that and I am so glad you had some fun. Greif is not an event, it's a process, and it moves at its own speed. Sadie and I are getting a bit anxious for true spring to get here, hoping we aren't going to be in for a short summer.

    Jazzy--those are amazing!

Chi--the info about Bar and Bat Mitzvahs is fascinating! Sorry you aren't feeling so well, hope it passes off quickly.

Undy--you know the rules, no need to ketchup, no need to address each of us individually, just come in, sit down and have a drink! Hugs.

Cammy--WOW, 3 slices of habanero in the drink! Talk about hot!

    Jazzy--love the music!

    Chi--Safe travels home!

Cammy--Ooh, that Vanilla Spiced Rum sounds sooo goood!

    Karen--another traveler returns!

Librarian--glad hubby enjoyed the reunion, and you did too. I used to enjoy window shopping, haven't been anyplace where there is good window shopping in ages!

Jazzy--Sadie was into playing in the mud, and I was into cleaning up the muddy dog and house this weekend. Did make a batch of scones for breakfasts for the week, and make some chicken and dumplings and got lots of laundry done. Lovely breeze for drying laundry this weekend.

Cammy--now THAT's the way to start a Monday!Or any day of the week!

,Hi ladies, Kim SNOW again, we're into April now, but like u said it will melt pretty fast so it will be a memory soon and mud for sadie. Oh so good how much better u feel about ur job. I mean we all knew it but I like for u to say it too. It's about time and u deserve to be respected all the time.

Sandy u better have dosed urself really good so this cold leaves before u come home, cuzz sometimes they seem to last longer when ur coming off a vacay and u have to come home and load ur pics, so u have work to do.

Talking about coming home, Lori should be home sometime today <I think>

JC how did I leave this out, the reunion, was it urs or what. but u seemed to have the best time which I personally don't really cuz I see the ones I was close to in school all these years and who I see there I hardly knew in HS, so I stopped going a while back, I think I went to 2 in my life and that was it.

Jazzy I didn't think u were going back to a new job this quickly, usually it's a little longer but it good to have the job anyway.

My phone started but I took care of it, told them they had the wrong number.. <No I didnt> but I felt like it.

    Hope Monday's good for everyone.

    LUBS U ALL

A friend shared this on FB. I have no idea if she has had it or not, but perhaps so as she moved away a long time ago. It is real and raw and worth reading. One of those articles I will book mark for collections when people say "you are all done with that cancer stuff now."
