Good morning friends- happy day after Fat Tuesday (every day is fat day for me) and today is the beginning of lent. The only thing I am giving up for lent is my contract. Yes, indeed, I was able to successfully negotiate a wrap up by the end of the month as I was looking for. Not sure of my exact day, but it will be sometime the last week of March. Free at last, free at last!

Cami- it sounds like the services went well but you are all missing your cousin so much. Grief is a tough master friend. Take things one day at a time please. We love you!

NM- I can appreciate what you said about having a space to work in. They have never had a good space for me to work in and I move around at this client site. They consolidated offices recently and are hiring like crazy so it is even worse now. I am hoping to do a bit of home office work on my next gig where I can do my best work!

Goldie- same here with the winds. Ugh.

Time to get to work. Going to be up to 70 degrees today. Shut up Jazzy.......

Busy few days getting my home clean and preparing for the girls mountain trip. Most importantly, the P!nk concert is tomorrow night!!!! Did get the call from the genetic counselor today. I have no gene mutations. At least none of the panel of 29 they tested for. Not sure if I should be happy about that or concerned. Since I am Stage IV metastatic TNBC I was hoping to discover a gene mutation that could support a targeted treatment. The counselor did not go into any detail over the phone, but will be sending a full report via snail mail. I will talk with my oncologist indetail about this in a couple of weeks.

It is supposed to rain all weekend in the Mountains of NC while we are there. We are old work buddies and will probably discuss all things work related. I will be taking two books to read and my IPad for entertainment. Once my Neulasta patch goes off we will go into town for some shopping and dinner. Town has some nice art, furniture and food stores. I am looking forward to getting away and having some girl time.

Looks like more snow for the upper Midwest. We have more storms heading our way on Sunday. Everyone take it easy and enjoy the good stuff.

Good Morning, Loungettes!Happy Thirsty Thursday! CPR class went well last night, glad to have that taken care of. The brain is slow to wake up this ayem, gonna be a lotta coffee day, I think. But that's ok. All the walking around the facility is being good for me, I noticed I can get quite a bit further down the longest corridor before getting winded than when I started. I've ordered a new fitness tracker so I can keep track of steps just out of curiosity. And the time change is coming up, so taking Sadie for an after work walk is going to be a doable thing, and that will be good for both of us.

Jazzy--Glad you have an end for the project, it sounds like it's time for you to pull out and leave it to the folks that own the process.Consolidating offices AND hiring? Sounds like a recipe for temporary chaos to me! I do my best work when I have a dedicated space, too, either at home or at work. You've got 70 degrees?Gee, we've only got to come up about 75 degrees to meet that!

Librarian--Welcome to the "no gene mutations but got bc anyway" club. Just supports that the majority of bc is not genetic but of unknown cause. Having a targeted therapy would have been nice, though. Have a great girls' weekend!

    Cammy--Happy Friday Eve!

Cami, I can hear the frustration in your voice about not being able to do the things you used to and other things that you would like to do. You have such a loving family and I'm glad you and Lu have each other. Did Leslie find a new doctor? Sardine sandwich....hmmmmmm, not sure about that one. We used to eat them with saltines. Not sure I could eat them today.

NM, things just couldn't be going any better for you. It amazes me how you can tell that just from typed words. You will be able to get in your garden soon. I've been trying to walk to our gate every day, but propable not much more than a half mile total. But there is a hill that gets me winded, but not as bad now, the more I take the walk. I think the 6000' elevation may have something to do with it???

Jazzy, I hate it when it gets super windy and you don't even have to open your mouth to eat dirt! And now the Junipers are FULL of pollen.

JCS, enjoy your mountain/girl time! And of course the concert too.

My brother went to see my mom yesterday, I told him to call me so I could talk to her, but she wouldn't wake up. Her room mate said she is barely eating anything. They took the bandages off of her right arm, it looks horrible. Gosh, I just hate seeing my mom go through this. But, I guess if she is sleeping through most it and doesn't seem to be in pain, then it's ok. I'm hoping the not eating will help to get her Home! Town today, onc tomorrow.

    Morning DahhhhLinKs

Changing clocks forward this weekend I think. I am sure several of you are looking forward to longer days. I know I am.

Cami - how you hanging? I've been enjoying your renditions of the fun and laughter you shared with your cuz. I think it is healthy and will hopefully help you too. BIG HUGZ!

JCS - I had the low potassium also, even tho I'd eat a banana almost everyday. So now on a potass supplement also.

So wonderful about the young men u had mentored. And to have them thank you…Amazing!

Chi - LOL on the 'discreet pads'

Janky - good news on ur parents…very happy for you

Jazz - great news on ur visit with the MO's CNP. I get the same aches after my injection, but like u say, only lasts a day or two.

NM - so good to hear that u are getting a handle on things at work. WooHoo!

Lowee - woot-woot on the trip to the mountains, not so good about the rain tho. Hope ur friends make it there in April. I have a close bff coming the 3d week of April. Really happy about it. Sorry to hear that ur mom is declining…it is sooo hard sometimes. Keeping you in my prayers.

I kno I didn't get to everyone today, but kno that I LUBSLUBSLUBS you all!!

Good Morning, Loungettes!Happy TGIF day! My brain seems to be slow waking up this ayem, not sure why, I'm not really all that tired. I'm going to blame it on the cold temps for now. I don't even want to know how cold it is, it felt brutal when I let Sadie out. And given how quick she was to get the jobs done and come back in, I'm guessing it's VERY cold. Welcome to March in Maine!

Goldie--Good for you for walking the hill! Sounds like you are feeling improvement already.I bet the elevation does have quite a bit to do with it. Is there any oxygen in the air at that level??? Sounds like your Mom is drifting away. It does sound like she's comfortable, though, and that's super important. Hugs.

Mema--Yup, clocks change this weekend, not looking forward to that. There are 2 bills in the State Legislature that would end the clock turning in Maine, one changes us to Atlantic time, joining all the Canadian Maritimes that are all around us and on Atlantic time, and one that is dependent on a Federal bill dropping the useDaylight Savings Time nationwide. I've always thought Maine should be on Atlantic time, it makes the available sunlight more accessible all year 'round, and eliminates needing to calculate time differences in multiple directions locally. Not sure if it will go through this time or not, but I hope so. Let me get used to one time zone and STAY there!!

    Summer Fridays Cocktail

    Ingredients

    1 1⁄2 oz Vodka

    2 oz Coconut milk

    3⁄4 oz Simple syrup

    3⁄4 oz Key lime juice

How to make The Summer Fridays Cocktail

Add all of the ingredients to a cocktail shaker with plenty of ice, and shake until chilled.

Strain into a chilled rocks glass, and garnish with 2 sprigs of cilantro.

Went to see P!nk last night. She was fantastic. Very high energy and great talent. I sat next to a woman and her friend that is dealing with stage IV colon cancer. We had an entertaining conversation about our local chemo center and her trial with NIH.

I am currently getting the third infusion of the third cycle. Yippee! This means I am on track for the PET scan next week. Goals met!!!!

Like the rest of you, I am looking forward to the time change. I enjoy the sunlight into the evenings. Often that is when I get yard work and gardening done.

Off to the mountains after this for the weekend. I do hope all have a wonderful weekend and stay positive!

Greetings to Mema, goldie, cami, illli, Chi, NM, jazzy, JCS, and everyone else ;)

Time is flying by as DH and I enjoy the sunny, warmer clime here in Florida - already 1 week+ has gone by, so much going on, so many reconnections with family, so much fun, sooooo tiring! Today Bob and I celebrate 44 years of marriage - back in 1975 we had a snowy, sunny day near Montreal, today a super sunny, warm day in Sarasota, Florida, lovely!

I will post sporadically for the next couple of weeks, but know that I am here, certainly in spirit, if not in words...Enjoy the weekend Cheers! Janice

    Mornin' ladies,

Kim do u remember when one yr. they decided not to change the time??? Long time ago, but the kids always had to leave early for school and catch buses and then it was always dark in the morning and all parents complained cuz it basically lasted all of the school yr. So they went back to it. Now it's a shorter time tho for the time change, but I just member that.

SusyQ am happy ur BFF will be coming soon, that's always good.LOL membering the daysof bananas, then going to the hospital for a couple of days to get the slow drip of pot.then go home and take those horse pills. then the following month going back to hospital for the very slow drip, That was stupidly tiresome. Since I take opiods now, hardly any diarrhea so my banana days are over, but I like them anyway.

JC u saw PINK wow, good for u Did u just happen to sit next to a woman with Stage IV, that is really eerie if it was by chance. It was great that she went tho.

Lori I never thought about the pressure of high altitudes. It must make a difference in how u feel. I'm so sorry about ur mom, but like u said u do have comfort in knowing she's sleeping alot so she doesn't have pain. It's still so sad. Oh I have to put sardines on my ,ist, I don't know either if I still like them or even tolerate them, but yea I do member crackers too.

Janky u sound like ur having a good time, I didn't realizze u were staying so long tho. But the longer the better for you.

Jazzy Im missing something I haven't seen u much. I don't like that.

    Thank you Teka.

I was busy on the phones last night and all emergencies, always on Fridays. I love the way they always ask me what I think it is. My usual spiel is I can flush a toilet, turn out a light and move the thermostat, I can do no more. I get my message across then.

    Have a great day.

    LUBS U ALL

NM, thanks for the comforting words in regards to my mom. I too think she is drifting away, but always manages a come back! I got to talk to her Thursday when my brother was there, but only briefly. She's complaining now about her knee hurting really bad. I'm just wondering if she hurt it one of the times she rolled out of bed.

Sue, my lil doity butt! I didn't know I was visiting you in 3 weeks! J/K, have fun with your BFF, is she staying with you? Any plans? Are you going to your cousins in AZ for Easter. I forgot her name.

JCS, good luck on your upcoming scans and getting this chemo done! How long do you have to do it?

Janky, HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! 44 years is loooooooong time! Glad you are enjoying yourself and family and the warmer weather. Carry on girl and continue to have a good time.

Illimae, I just love your cartoon you!

Cami lol, "I think this has liquor in it". The first item, Jimadore Silver, is to kill ya (tequilla). I hope you are doing well. Did you say before that you had your hair colored? And what's Joey been up to? Oooooh, I almost bumped you into the pewl. We would eat oysters with crackers too. Not sure I could tolerate oysters anymore. They are just so gross looking.

NM, I hope you and Sadie are having a nice sleep in this morning.

Well, saw my onc yesterday. Blood work was all good, liver, kidneys, red and white blood cells...all except the TM's, they went up again, which seems to be the norm anymore. Rose 30-40 pnts. Bone scan shows some progression (expected that) and a new spot on one my ribs. CT was all good, nothing in the lungs, liver, kidneys.....NO ORGAN INVOLVEMENT! I was a nervous wreck yesterday, my BP was like 140/90, heart rate 103. Things got messed up with things that I mentioned before because there is another patient of his with the exact same name as mine. Except I'm Lorri and she is Lori, which is normally how I spell my name, but legally it has 2 R's in it. Anyways, I'm beyond pleased with my results!
    Happy saTURDay girlz.

Good Morning, Loungettes!Happy Saturday! Chilly but sunny this ayem. Should be a very pretty day today. Having a hard time getting the brain going this ayem. I'm going to take that as a sign of needing a mental veg day. Considering how much I've gotten done at work this week I think I'm entitled! So mindless housework and laundry for me today. Hoping for a good bean suppah, haven't visited with Mom and Dick for a bit. Sadie says "HI" to everyone!

Librarian--glad the concert was good and the company was fun! And Hooray for cycle 3 done and the schedule back on track. Enjoy the mountains!

Janky--so glad you are enjoying your warm climate vacay! Congrats on your anniversary!

    Morning, Illi!

Cammy--Yummy! And, Yes, I do remember the year they decided not to change time. It was supposed to save money by leaving daylight in the peeyems later during the big energy crisis, but people just used more energy for lights and such in the ayems. I got on the bus in the dark all school year instead of just half the school year. Ain'tever gonna make everyone happy with the time thing, no matter what gets done! You must be a riot on the phone with folks. I bet you leave them smiling!

Goldie--People do manage more come backs from the brink of death than cats have lives!Your Mom may have hurt her knee in one of the falls, or she may have arthritisthat is acting up after the falls. Sadie and I did have a nice sleep in, thanks. So good to hear no organ involvement! I can imagine how nervous you were waiting to hear those results. I hear you about the name thing, a friend I grew up with has the same name as mine now that she is married! There is a big difference in that she is officially/legally a Kimberly and I am just a Kim, and thank goodness we have different birthdates. For the longest time we got each other's mail and such.

Good morning friends- happy daylight savings weekend. I am ready, although the spring forward is always a bit of an adjustment. But I am ready to have evening light back again. The state of New Mex is considering not doing the time change anymore either (our friends to the west in AZ don't change their clocks).

We had some wicked windy weather last night! The winds were howling and the house was shaking. I went out to see if there was any damage around the house or property today and all is well. I heard the winds were clocked as high as 70 mph here last night. Waking up to sunny and cold weather, but winds should be down. March is a wicked windy month here and the last two days have been bad.

Cami- I am okay friend, just busy working to transition out of this contract by end of the month. Easier said than done because they are not wanting me to say anything yet to the client or my team. Makes all harder and am sure they know some of this won't be taken well, but not my circus or monkeys. I have new work I am trying line up to continue on this spring and finishing tax work with my accountant. Busy, busy!

Been thinking of you and knowing this is a hard time for you with the loss of your cousin. Sending much love.

Janky- sounds like FL is treating you well. Happy anniversary to you and DH.

Okay, will write more tomorrow. I am off to breakfast with one friend and then helping a friend who is finally finishing her move out of state with a yard sale today.

    Have a good Saturday folks!

Joining the happy dance for Lori's "uninvolved organs" (looks like we'll be making it a circle or line dance).

Janice, congrats on 44 yrs. with your Bob. (My DH is also Bob).

Mild-ish (high 30s), breezy, rainy--same for tomorrow but perhaps breaking 40. No snow till next Fri--by then I'll be in NOLA. (60 for Thurs., but as usual for late winter, accompanied by high winds). Looking forward to later sunsets, but not to losing an hr. of sleep tomorrow a.m. (or, alternatively, needing some "better living through chemistry" to make me sleepy an hour earlier tonight).

Mea culpa for being absent here for a few days. Been busy with comments on FB and Quora, dental appts. for Heidi & me, orientation reception for my upcoming Israel trip (which also has engendered more than a few disapproving comments aimed at me on FB), car trouble (dead battery due to having inadvertently discharged it for the 3d time in 5 yrs., so yesterday bought a new battery), trying to rearrange my flights from here to Amsterdam (once again, due to recent change of my arrival terminal at JFK, having too short a layover to make it through a second round of security in time for departure), and the ongoing herculean task of "culling the herd" of my clothes, shoes, books, software, old beauty supplies and obsolete electronic accessories. Definitely not used to having a walk-in closet into which I can actually walk, though there's plenty more on several clothes racks to have to winnow. After finishing dropping off castoff clothes & shoes at the local charity, instead of a yard sale, I would just give stuff away--put it all out on the lawn with a sign reading "Come & Get it or Drag it to the Dumpster!" No need to tag stuff, answer questions, hang around collecting money & making change.

Think I'll get my roots touched up this week before I leave for NOLA. I'll wait till I return from Israel to get my next keratin treatment, because I intend to go floating on the Dead Sea--and the salt would strip the keratin from my hair.

Not sure what today's DOTD will be for me--been a long time since it was mild enough to enjoy an Aperol spritz.

Hi ladies- happy daylight savings. I am awake for a bit and when I got up it was 1:45 a.m. then I looked at the clock a few minutes later and it was 3 a.m. WHAT? Then I remembered the time change is actually 2 a.m. so the time on my phone had moved ahead. Got me up to change a few more of the main ones in the house. Now begins the onslaught of watch changes and car clock changes.

Long and busy day helping my friend with her yard sale and move. Nothing was marked and she went over everything fast with me and told me things that were not negotiable. We got rid of some things and encouraged her to price things to sell which is what you do at a move sale, you are not trying to make a lot of money. But I was just there to help and we also got a lot of her kitchen and garage cleaned out and stuff put together for donations (which she took end of the day after I left). Meanwhile, I took a wad of cardboard to recycle for her and took that home to my big recycling dumpster. I also came away with a few choice items for my yard including a beautiful sculpture I have always admired that she gave to me as a gift. I have a bit of work to finish cleaning it up, but will send a photo later today. It's stunning and looks like something one might find in one of the high end art galleries in Santa Fe. I was one tired girl when I got home.

Goldie- I wanted to say how happy I am for you that you have no organ involvement with your recent scans. It sounds like you have a big of progression here and there with the bone mets, but you are managing this okay. Do you still take those FU pills?

Did you get that wind that came through here late in the week? I hear we are heading in to a week. Our fruit trees are starting to bloom so it will be good for the trees this week that need that extra moisture to do their thing.

Chi- how exciting you are going to Israel. I went in the late 1980s and one of the best trips I have ever done. Are you going on a tour or any particular places?

I find FB is not a very friendly place anymore, even with people I thought I knew better but don't spend as much time there anymore nor share much personal information for those exact reasons.

NM- how is the weather up there? Are you still getting snow?

Ill- how is the weather in TX? I talked to a colleague in Austin who said they had been experiencing big swings in temps lately. In the 80s one day and 20s the next. I sort of remember spring and fall being like that when I lived there......

Okay, back to bed. I will have more to share tomorrow. Cami need to know jazzy is okay......

Sorry for all of you that are changing time and having to deal with clocks and watches. We don't change, but I always get confused when we are traveling, mainly CA and UT, as with both we are on the same time sometimes and an hour different the other, and one is an hour ahead where the other is an hour behind. And then when we go to Laughlin, our friend there lives in AZ, with no time change and then works in NV with a change....as if I don't stay confused enough as it is!

NM, we all need a "veg" day every now and then and I hope you did just that! Funny about the friend with the same name. What is really odd, and I don't want to disclose my last name here, but it's usually spelt with an AI and mine is just an I. Hope you made it to the bean suppah.

Jazzy, getting windy here too, but supposed to rain Wed. & Thur. We'll see. Hoping your transition out of the current job goes smoothly for you and without drama. I have a friend who usually has a garage sale several times a year, but wants the most money she can possibly get, she was selling a used "Rainbow" vacuum and wanted almost what she paid for it. Can't wait to see your new gift and it was very nice of you to help her. Yes, I still take the FU pills and Xeloda shot once a month. Staying on the FU pills as I am not in any pain, regardless of the TM's. Onc told me if I experience any pain at all, to let him know and then it will be time to move on to something else. As for FB, I am mainly there for family and close friends, personal posts and pictures and I NEVER say or reply to anything in regards to politics or religion! NEVER!!! I won't even comment on memes, I don't know the person who posted that, so not putting my info out there for them.

Sandy, you sure have been busy! I too would like to be able to just put stuff out at the curb for people to take, but due to where I live, it would sit there forever...literally!

Thank you all for the Happy Dances!

Good morning again friends- I am just here to see all the cute GIF that Cami' posts, lol. Speaking of FB, I made a comment on something and someone called me a "cat lady". But I don't have cats, allergic? LOL. Perfect example of why I limit my time there.

Goldie- I was out this morning doing some pruning of my pampas grass which got huge last year with more summer rains. Going to put all the cuttings in the dumpster. There is a sort of water ring stain in one small area on the outdoor sculpture I am working to get rid of today (trying different things to get rid of it, and making progress). Once I get that finished, picture coming.

People are funny with their yard sale stuff. I did watch in amazement sometimes with the yard sale yesterday where my friend wanted $2 for something and someone would offer $1 and she would say no. I know with a moving sale, you gotta price it to go so you don't have to move stuff. She had three larger items that I expect she will try to sell otherwise on Craig's list or the like. But because she is not here anymore, it will be difficult. Anyways, I helped her twice now with move stuff and feel my efforts with moving help are good. When she sells the house this spring, she will need to come down from Denver for a truck for everything else.

Ah, the Rexair "Rainbow" vacuum cleaner/washer! Back in 1977, one of the younger interns on a campaign on which Bob & I were volunteering signed up to sell Rainbows door-to-door. IIRC at the time, they were dome-shaped and insanely expensive but apparently did everything for one's carpets except weave and install them. He asked if he could practice on us, knowing we were in no position to buy one (Bob was in med school and I was making $7/hr as an associate to a solo practitioner in a suburban law office). He went through the whole spiel--soiling the rug with various dirts and then having the Rainbow wash, steam, vacuum and dry the rug. He asked us what we thought. I answered, "I thought 'Star Wars' is making enough money that R2D2 wouldn't have to moonlight." His face fell, and I still feel sorta bad for the kid.

Speaking of kitties, I was watching "Last Week Tonight w/John Oliver," while my cat Happy was on my lap snuggling my face and purring. One segment ended with bagpipe music. As soon as the bagpipes started, Happy suddenly looked up, ears back and eyes wide--then yowled and streaked out of the room. (Insert musician joke here).

The weather warmup continues--high 40s tomorrow, rain and T-storms midweek, mid-60s and sunny Thursday. But Friday a.m. as we're leaving for Midway, the temp will plummet to 37, with snow flurries. NOLA will be in the mid-50s the whole time we're there. (And so, it seems, will Amsterdam & Jerusalem 20 days from now).

Got my body clock screwed up royally by the time change. Took my pills & CBD at 1am. Fed the cats their kibble at their usual 2am, and suddenly my watch said 3am. Ooops! Went up to bed; Heidi "tucked me in" and spent the next 10 minutes on my chest purring and rubbing her face against mine (with her ear in my eye). Was about to fall asleep when my throat started tickling and I couldn't stop dry-coughing. Glanced at the weather graphic on my watch, which read "UNHEALTHY/SENSITIVE." Then my R shin began twitching over the orthopedic hardware in it (from an old tibial fracture), and my L toe suddenly started getting "zaps" like I was sticking it in a light socket. I reluctantly took some codeine cough syrup, but I still couldn't fall asleep so I went downstairs, had a bowl of Cheerios, and watched some boring infomercial till I began nodding off about 6am. Went back upstairs, fell asleep, and then the phone rang at noon--it was Bob, who'd gone to Cellars for brunch and asked if I wanted the quiche of the day. I grunted "uh-huh," fell back asleep and then was head-butted awake by Happy, who was telling me it was time for wet food. Spent much of the day online scrounging up receipts for our taxes, then online. Bob brought home Asian food (Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese) from the joint around the corner.

So DOTD was a 2017 Fess Parker off-dry Santa Barbara-area Riesling. (One dish was pretty spicy, so it was a decent match).

My Amsterdam/Israel trip will be a tour with 40 other lawyers in the Chicago Bar Assn. Decalogue Society, and Catholic Bar Assn.., with 7 hrs. of CLE sessions (including a debate about the peace process). I arrive first in Amsterdam on Fri. 3/30 in the early a.m., with a dinner & cocktail reception. We spend all day Sat. 4/1 on a walking & tram tour of Amsterdam, including the RIjksmuseum (sp?) and a private tour of the Anne Frank House. Early rijstaffel dinner, because we need to leave the hotel at 4:30 am Sun. for a 6:30 am flight to Tel Aviv (we're taking various flights to Amsterdam but will all be on the same EasyJet flight to Ben-Gurion Airport). Bus will take us to our Jerusalem hotel, where we will likely spend some quality nap time before gathering for dinner. 3 days of CLE classes, tours of the Supreme Court & Knesset, and then sightseeing tours (I chose the Old City walking tour instead of Yad Vashem, which shook me to the core last time I visited; also Masada, Dead Sea, & Jericho; and the Mahane Yehuda market with the hotel's chef). Then back to Tel Aviv for 2 nights; my flight back to JFK is at nearly midnight, so I will check out & leave my bags with the hotel valet and take a day trip to either Haifa or one of the wineries in the hills between the Golan Hts. and Galilee. Sleep on the plane, go through Customs & Immigration (completing my Global Entry confirmation interview at JFK), recheck my bags for Chicago, TSA again, and fly home.

Decided not to take chances flying with CBD. Will put on a CBD transdermal patch before leaving home--which should kick in for my flt. to JFK and last 36-72 hrs., through landing at Schiphol. Once through passport control, will take the patch off and seal it in a plastic bag and put it back on before leaving the hotel for the 6-hr flt. to Israel. Will take it off again (assuming there's any CBD left in it) after Customs, reseal it, and reapply it for the flight back to JFK. In Amsterdam I can legally smoke or vape marijuana in "coffee shops," but not sure if they sell CBD there. If they do, I won't buy any more than I'm willing to discard when I get back to Schiphol. (The one CBD shop in town was closed by authorities, presumably on "moral" grounds but really because the licensed "coffee shops" complained that people using CBD at home was cutting into their on-site pot business--it's legal there to get stoned but not legal to get "normal"). In Jerusalem, I will see if the concierge can hook me up with an MD willing to prescribe it--a few licensed pharmacies are allowed to sell it with a prescription. My IL MMJ ID card will serve as grounds for issuing a prescription, acc. to the doc who certified me in the first place. (She knows her stuff--my other doctors affectionately call her the "Pot Lady"). Again, I won't buy any more than I'll need on the trip for pain & insomnia (and maybe another patch for the flight home--it's small enough to be covered by a (spent) Salonpas or IcyHot patch or even a large Band-Aid). How crazy is it that in the land where the endocannabinoid system was first discovered and CBD first isolated (and which now exports CBD products worldwide--including to your local vape shops or health food stores), you still can't buy it over the counter? If all else fails, I'll bring along some extra Xanax, melatonin and Tyl. #3 (which might be necessary to prevent night coughing)--all of which are legal anywhere so long as I can show the prescriptions for them. (In 1992, pharmacies in Jerusalem sold codeine phosphate--sans acetaminophen--OTC).
