Good morning lovely ladies of the lounge,

So good to see everyone...Orla,Cami, Julie, Lori,Kathy, Dorty, NM....I've been seeing a lot of those snow sculpture pics lately..that one is huge Orla!!  I cant imagine that buried car being in Maine...lol....looks like it would be somewhere that isnt used to snow and didnt know how to dig it out. How are you feeling btw?  When is your next fill?

Julie, love the pic..you look fantastic...and so does the drink!  Is that in Orlando?  How far is Kennedy space center from Orlando? How much is the tour?  Looking for some fun and free/inexpensive things to do when D is here in a few weeks.  Kathy..thinking of taking her to the Ringling Museum..that isnt cheap but maybe I can find some cheaper days..thats a whole day thing and I found it quite interesting too.  I may even ask my dad to come as when we went before it seemed like he wanted to continue thru the art museum and everyone else wanted to leave. I just find the circus things really cool and never did go upstairs in that one building with the train.  Did you and Glenn do the Mansion tour?

Dorty...I hate to see all this sadness with your mom...I hope and pray everyday that things get easier for you.  I hate to hear that he bottom isnt being cared for properly either..that actually just pisses me off!!  Are you commited to this place or can you keep looking and find some place else for her?  My grampa was in a presbyterian place in NJ that he was very happy at..he passes about 5 years ago..he was I believe 98 or 99...He had been in Asbury Park for many years but they closed the place he was living so he moved to that presbyterian place..not sure where it is..not far from Asbury Park or Ocean Grove  I think.

Cami....Im sorry the D'ria is back ..  I really do know how you feel...I have to make a run for it several times a day..mostly in the morning tho...kids just cant wait to go swimming after coffee..bet a cigarette would put them way over the edge and may not even get in one cup of coffee before taking them...but that wont happen.

Lori, Im with you on the understanding regarding wanting the pain and suffering over.  I have a much different outlook to things now that I have come closer and seen more suffering myself.  Did I mention to you all that one of the things D asked me to do while I was in TX was to visit Robins grave?  I have become much more familiar with  what they went thru the last couple of years of Robins life. We spent some time at the cemetary before going to San Antonio. I had no hesitation in going there with her.

So on a brighter note..I agree also on the phone calls..it does bring us one step further.

Now where is Bernie, Chrissy, Alli, Beans, Undie, Adey??  Come out and play!!

Xo Ladies and have a happy Monkeydey!

cyn, the kennedy day ticket is $50 but an annual pass is 63 but gives you discount in the shops and restaurents.  most of the parks have fl resident specials which could cut down the cost. it was so much fun having the girls here, they took me to medieval timesfor as a present for me. ps the drink was a cocktail but in your mind take the leaves off the glass what do you see!Surprised

Sue u'r sketti sounds so good right now--u sure keep busy, cept when we relax in de lounge.

Julie, Julie Jieli---u can see thst even with the leaves I spected that's why u ordered it.

Julie, you have gotten soooooo skinny.....you look great!!!! I wish I had your willpower, to do that...I need to get rid of a lotta weight (No, not my DH....lol....the weight I have gained!)...j/k. You really do look good! AND I think we ALL got what that dwink was supposed to look like....dats why we all wanted it...LOL. Glad you have been having such a great time!

Cyn, I would love to go to the Ringling Estate/Museums again, too. Sooooo awesome, and we got to go for free. Keep this link handy to see when they will have a free day this year...it applies to so many other museums all over the US. http://www.smithsonianmag.com/museumday/ticket/  We only toured the bottom of the mansion, but it WAS impressive, and right on the water. I liked the room that had the scale model of the circus....it was so huge it took a long time to walk around it, and I took tons of pics. I liked how it showed the ENTIRE circus grounds...tent for the workers, animal tents, as well as the big top tents, etc. Really amazing! I do hope you get to go back, and really hope they have a free day when you want to go again! Do you ever spend time at Armond's Circle (sp?).....there was one place with island type atmosphere or mexican, I forget, anyway they had good food an drink specials. Plus its neat to walk in the middle island and read the plaques to the diff circus performers. Amazing!

I took my mom shopping today, and we had a good time....we were out for 4 hrs. It still amazes me at how well they do. My DH took my dad out to lunch, then shopping for more bird seed, duck seed (really cracked corn, but thats what my DH called it....lol), etc. Yesterday when I was at their house, they had so many beautiful Canada Geese (yeah, I know Dotty...up in Joisey de don't like dem geese as dey are baaaaaad) in their yard, plus ducks and coots. While we were in GA, my dad said there was a huge bald eagle that was swooping down on the lake right in front of their house, and the coots kept trying to paddle away quickly. He said it looked like it was after them....weird, but awesome sight. I have never seen an eagle in our subdivision before. On our way to Asheville last wk, while still in GA, there was a huge buzzard in someones front yard, with his wings totally outstretched, prancing around. I wish I had my camera out, as I have never seen a buzzard that close, and with outspread wings. Guess he was protecting something? Or courting? There was another buzzard flying overhear, above him/her.

Sounds like everyone is doing pretty well. Lori, hope your DH is getting better everyday! I didn't take mine in to the ER...he was fine later on. This is always happening though, and I am afraid he won't realize when he REALLY needs to go in. I think he is finally thru with that cold, too. But I am so glad your DH is going back to the dr Wed....and hope he is able to keep cutting back on salt. Years ago when I realized how bad salt was, I took it off the table, and went cold turkey to only adding pepper. Now I am used to it, and even like my baked potatoes with just pepper (oh and butter of course!!). And on popcorn, I drizzle olive oil and add italian seasoning....sounds weird, but I LOVE it that way now.

OK, I guess I should do something before happy hour! Jest wanted to pop in and say Aloha to Y'all! (Hows that for a Hawaiian Southerner!).,

    Kat

they had me trapped in a car for over 1/2 waiting for me to get out all around the car--and I lived there not them. Honk, Honk, Honk, that's all I heard til finally the leader started leaving then they all left. The can be so mean--they use them as guards at junkyards and places.

And buzzards OMG they are looking for meat dead or alive and then an eagle diving down to pick up it's pray. WTF u sound like u live in a jungle of some kind. I enjoy nature but these are not friendly creatures none of them ooooo I'm getting the willie nillies Kat.

But other than that u had a good day so I'm glad about that.

Good morning, Loungettes!  Still have to fight with whatever is re-routing me on BCO, but I finally got here!

Goldie--I remember the chairs with trays, too.  Homes don't use them anymore because they are considered restraints.  ~~some foods do just need a little salt.  I have to have a little salt on rice, for instance.  Funny, I love raw taters, just rinse and eat! I think I read somewhere that the day's worth of sodium comes in just one teaspoon of salt. Maybe we should all go back to the old-fashioned salt cellars, with the little itty bitty spoon, and only put 2 teaspoons a day into it!  ~~Looks like we're in for more precipitation tomorrow, although it looks like it will be all or mostly rain in my area.  But Bangor is on the line of all rain to mixed rain and snow.  Should be interesting.

Cammy--I remember those days too!  Honeymoon cystitis we called it.  Fortunately we've learned better!  ~~It is really hard to see out parents aging and becoming more dependent, isn't it?

ORLA--Nice castle!  Hope the bedrooms have fireplaces, though.  The car pic reminds me of when I was  student at UMO. Once of the students didn't move his car after a storm when they were clearing the snow out of the parking lot, so they dumped all the snow on the car.  He didn't see his car until spring!

Mema--Good grief, you didn't really think I remembered all that book info without help did you?????? I'm not that good at all!  ~~ Yeah, not  only what I wrote in my journals but the penmanship, it all tells a story that goes beyond words.  But like you said, better on paper than out loud to someone. ~~ We really work as a team where I am now, when I was out sick  earlier this year they all covered for me, so it's easy for me to cover for them occasionally.  And it really isn't very often.  I think this is only the second time I've covered weekend time since the holidays.  And having worked weekends, I know what it can be like.  No matter how fast you go you know you can't give everyone the care they need and deserve, so you have to holler for help once in a while.

CynCyn--the great thing about museums is that there is something for everyone, but sometimes not everyone wants to see all the same things.  I found out recently that there is a Xenobiology Museum in Portland, gonna go check it out sometime.

Juliet--I remember a bunch of us spending the day at the Kennedy Center  one vacation.  I've still got the pics somewhere, and some of the pics are of stuff that was going to be going up to the International Space Station.  It was still being built at that time.  I would love to go to one of the Medieval dinner shows sometime.  Sounds like huge fun! ~~And I did see the drink for what it is without the leaves, that's what I found so funny!

Wahine--I remember going to the Smithsonian when I was about 13.  I remember seeing the Hope diamond, but was more impressed with the armed guard than standing in the spot where it would look like you were wearing the necklace.  I would love to go back there, and back to Washington DC again.  ~~I'm lucky to live where Bald Eagles are fairly plentiful.  There's a pair that live on the river next to the office that we see form time to time, and another pair lives not far from where I live that regularly visit a place where the people feed the big birds but putting out large hunks of dead beasts for them to eat.  I've seen osprey, Turkey buzzards, owls and all sorts of large birds there.  I wonder if that buzzard you saw was courting.  Sounds like it, doesn't it?

Cammy--orange pee, red pee, its all fun, isn't it??????  I think I forgot the pee was red but the stains it makes are orange.  So I tend to think of orange pee for pyridium.  Hope youse feeling better, whatever color you are peeing!

DorKable--"FTW" ? What's going on?  Come on and talk to us, Dorky, so we can help!

Princess Glitter Sizzle's DOTD is The Pretty Pee

wipe one half of the glass rim with lime wedge and dip glass into salt, this gives the choice of salt or no salt.

mix all other ingredients and serve.

garnish with sprig of mint or lime wedge.

sweetness can be adjusted by either removing the simple syrup or adding more.

Lara, the website you get the pictures from, prolly puts their logo on everything. That way when it’s shared, you have no choice but to see where it came from.

Cami, glad that NM could explain your new med to you.

Yes Sue, 5 weeks. Time to really start to get excited. And yes  Gatorade has a lot of sodium, 800 mg in one bottle. You and DH gonna look pretty funny, you wif a board duct tape to you back and him wif his feed bucket! How is your step son doing with that ankle?

Cyn, that was really awesome that you went to the cemetery with D to visit Robin, I’m sure that meant a lot to her.

Such naughty minds about Juilie’s glass, I actually had to scroll back up to look!

Bahahaha Kathy and needing to lose weight (not her DH)! Everyone’s a comedian. Sounds like everyone had a nice day out, you and mom and your DH and dad. I saw a bald eagle last week when we went to town. And those buzzards look HUGE when they have their wings spread. And no doctor tomorrow as we are expecting snow, anywhere from 3-12 inches.

OMG Camie, hostage in the car because of geese. Oh I wish I could have seen that. And dead sea/red pee, LMAO.

    Yeah Dort, with is FTW?

NM, so glad you have a such a great team to work with, but they have a great team in you too. Def. amazing the amount of salt in stuff. Yesterday wasn’t a good day for DH on the sodium. I think I will bring it up again next week, after we get rid of the deli stuff we have.

I am soooooo dreading the snow………..grrrrr!

Lori---3-12 inches more than ILL. WTF and di u just say everything twice or was that my imagination, I kept on readin thinking this sounds familiar. But I love that picture--it's perfect.

Dork u have to keep us up to date with everything--we're way behind what u'r going thru.and mow it's need to know for us.

Lori u seemed less worried, but still concerned about u'r DH.

My sister is getting her colonoscopy today--she's supposed to go on vacation for 2 weeks next week but if this continues who know--Diarrhea with green coloring. Oh this familly is so full of chit. They had to do it fast to see if she can go next week. I'm kinda anxious to see wht's wrong and why it green sometimes. I know if u'r clear u find out good stuff right away, but if they do some biopsies a couple of days I think. She really doesn't want to go on this acation tho it's 2 weeks and the first week they are staying with old friends and that's fine, but the secon week they're staying with our brother wi a new gorlfriend and she hardly knows her  and if she doesn't feel well she likes to just stay in her robe and pj's --Like she said she doesn't hae the energy she had before and the whole trip is planned and she's like me know we don't like plans cuz we never know how we feel. and no one quite gets it cuz we act fine. So I think she's hoping this will cancel the trip, it's just to expensive to stay on their own so we'll see.

OK enough about me how is everyone Orange u's better tell us how the pain is going.

And Kat u'r eyes are they starting to heal.?

Sorry to have funcused you Cami, yes I repeated myself. Tried to edit it, but it wouldn't let me. So I deleted it and reposted. Snow levels here are 3-6 for under 6000' and 6-12 above 6000'. Well, we are right at 6000', so who knows. Hopefully NM will have some information about your sister. I'm so sorry you BOTH have to deal with this. Praying all will be ok and she can get her results very soon.

good afternoon all, i think i'm caught up now, as you can see the housewoork is going well!  dorty-hope your mum is ok after her fall, some great suggestions off nm as usual, what we sometimes do at night if someone is really restless and getting up and no cause found ie don't need the bathroom ,thirsty etc is snuggle them down in bed and make the room cooler  for the majority is seems to work they sleep for a few hours. that reluctance to get out of awarm bed when its cold outside never seems to leave us.   hope you liked your grapes.     cammi- food coloring is probably the cause-a lot of  that about after st patricks days. some times if the d is liquid its basically bile and digestive juices.TMI    . kathy hows the eyes today?          lori, stay warm.  planters lightly salted peanuts  are a good snack and salty enough for me!    another snack , i jus found unfortunately only in orlando so far,is sunkists blends- got the chocolate banana, mango,  , light on salt and fat!  thanks for the kind words about the weight!  at a standstill right now haven't gone to the gym since i got hit and stangely enough i miss it!  never thought i would ever be saying that at 51! lara how you doing,  ?  cyn before i forget ksc now charges $ 10 for parking but if you get an annual pass its free on all subsequent visits.  florida tourism have a  site with a lot of deals on it!
