Amy -
Best wishes to you tonight and tomorrow. Try to get some sleep. I wish that you didn't have to go through this.
Laura -
Amy Know you are in our prayers
Sherry -
Amy - I am so sorry! You are in my prayers!
-
AMY, AWWWWW, I FEEL SO BAD FOR YOU, NOBODY SHOULD HAVE TO GO THROUGH ALL THIS STRESS, ESPECIALLY AT YOUR AGE. ATLEAST THEY ARE TAKING CARE OF IT RIGHT AWAY. I WILL BE THINKING OF YOU TODAY. TRY NOT TO WORRY, IT IS PROBABLY NOTHING....GRAYCIE
-
Oh Amy...so, so sorry to hear this. How totally unfair for you and I agree with you...at 29 you shouldn't have to go through this..nobody should but I do know what you are feeling..or trying to. I hope it's all just a bunch of fatty whatevers and that Cancer has not been playing games again...
Am thinking of you and hoping for wonderful results.
Hope you got some sleep.

Everything is good My surgeon did the biopsy this morning and got a huge sample and I'm cancer free Not one cancer cell...not even a breast cell! So, it's fatty necrosis and she said she can remove it completely when I have the nipple reconstruction this summer. So relieved. I was freaking out this morning...my face is completely broken out because I've been crying for a day and a half. But, I'm beyond relieved now. Now I'm really ready for normalcy
While I was having the procedure done, my husband called out words from my study flashcards for the boards...I actually got some right, so if I can get those correct while having a biopsy, I can definitely pass that exam
Thank you thank you thank you for your support. I love you all!!!!
-Amy -
Woohoo go Amy!
After that the boards are going to be a doddle!
I can sympathise with you to a degree - had a meeting today about some Dyslexia work I will be doing and I sat looking at this woman thinking " OMG - I can only understand a fraction of what you are telling me and I am supposed to be teaching it!" Someone seems to have removed part of my mind and replaced it with trifle!
A big sigh of relief for you from over here and a special ( platonic!) hug for your supportive hubby.

Amy -
Great news! Whew! Sooooooooo happy for you.
Now...if someone would just develop a pill for paranoia. Wouldn't that be great!

I need a service like they had in that Jim Carrey movie, "Eternal Sunshine" where you can erase anything you want from your memory!! While I don't think about CA as much as I used to, it still crosses my mind every once in a while. I want to forget it completely!! -
Great New's Amy.......You don't know how happy I was to hear the GOOD NEWS....
TDA, I agree with you, wouldn't it be nice to erase any bad memories from your mind.
Laura, Your not alone, you sound just like me with the paranoia......
Graycie -
Tomorrow 04/05/06 , is a year since i was diagnosed.
What a year its been!
Debbie -
Oh Amy, I would be so scared, too!! Where is the lump located?? It's not the life for a 29y.o. nor is it the life for any of us. This breast cancer can create a lot of stress.
My stress hopefully will be less ... my ex now has a 3 year permanent restraining order from me and my daughter. I am so relieved. I put up with so much from him, letting him get away with things over and over and over. Finally, he has his line drawn in the sand for him and he cannot cross it. -
oooops! Congrats Amy!!
See what happens when you reply to one page and don't finish reading all the posts!??? -
Amy ---I am so happy for you Great news!!!!!
Terynsmom--Happy for you too!!!! -
tda -
I love the eternal sunshine solution!
Graycie -
We really do have quite a few things in common!
Terynsmom -
Great news about the line in the sand. How confident are you that he won't cross it? Would he be that foolish? If he does I hope you have a very big baseball bat! LOL
Laura -
Debbie -
You are the longest survivor in our group! You have been through hell and through it all you managed to maintain your witty, humorous and caring personality!
CONGRATULATIONS!!!
Laura -
Wow terynsmom, you did well in court. Hope he respects it and stays away.
Amy so glad your biopsy was ok, also had my lump biopsied yesterday. I have a small lump in the incision area which all docs think is scar tissue. I humored everyone and ignored it for a month. But this week I decided I had to be more sure. I will find out next week what the report is. In Canada it is not unusual for biopsies to take 1- 2 weeks. I am only a little worried as everyone is so sure it is nothing.
Debbie, one year down many to go!
!5/25 rads, my skin is getting red, I have a few small blisters in mid sternal area. Feels quite itchy. I am using lots of Aloe to settle it down.
Being at work has really helped me not think about cancer all the time. While there I get to concentrate on others for a change. I am enjoying being back to work.
Fists up! -
happy anniversary, debbie!!!!!!!!
-
Amy, congrats!!! what a relief, huh? Since we all now know what its like to hear the words 'you've got cancer', hearing 'its NOT cancer' must feel incredible!!
My news - i've got some weird itchy rash on my reconstructed boob... my onc thinks its some kind of fungal (!!??) infection. Great. Soon i'll be sprouting mushrooms. Ah, the joys of post-radiated skin. I am using Silvadene creme on it. hmmmm, and i thought things should be getting BETTER now?
oh, and i've got some weird swelling on my middle finger and top of my hand (affected side). Praying its not lymphedema...
I had SNB, 3 nodes only taken out, but i know i am still at risk.
Good to catch up with you ladies! (and have a bit of a whinge.. ) -
Paula - at least they will be organic mushrooms!
Thought i would feel kind of strange today but no, i finally think i am starting to leave it behind!
Debbie -
My hair is growing back in all different directions! I'm not kidding...for instance, some areas of hair on the top of my head are growing in one direction and other areas are growing in different directions - north, south, east AND west! Same is true for the sides and back. LOL
Huh...
Anyone else have this crazy thing happening?
Laura -
Just checking in...
I am so fatigued!! What happened? I thought the side effects dwindled over time.
Anyone in the same boat? -
Brenda -
Hi! I was wondering where you were!
Could your red blood cells still be low (anemia) from chemo? Has your Onc. done a post-chemo bloodwork follow-up to check this? If not, maybe you should request one. I'm a little fatigued but I am only half-way through radiation, so it's to be expected for me.
Hope everything else is going well.
Laura -
Brenda, Sorry to hear that you are so tired. I have to say that the radiation was a breeze for me compared to chemo. I really don't remember being tired except for the day my husband wanted me to help him clean the garage.....HA....
Laura, What little hair I have (and I do mean little) seems to be growing like yours, in all directions. Little swirls here and there, cowlicks all over the place...Strange, do you think our hair was like this all the time but we never noticed it when our hair was longer?
Graycie -
Has anyone had a pap test since chemo? I went today and of course I am nervous as to the results. I heard chemo can make the results come out false-positive so I waited. I just hope I waited long enough. It is hard to believe it has been 3 months already....
Graycie -
Graycie, I had my pap and had to go take it again. They didn't get a clear sample, they said, the first time. I was nervous there was something they weren't telling me!
-
Laura My hair like yours is growing really crazy like, between the color the cowlicks and the curls and waves I don't know what to do with it but it is better than wearing hats and wigs any day. I have been told to get a pap but am procrastinating like crazy
-
Graycie -
"Cowlicks all over the place"...yup, that's a good way to describe it. And maybe you're right, maybe it was always like this and we just didn't know! Oh no, thinking back, I remember my hair stylist always used to swear under her breath the words, "damn freakin' cowlicks!" when she did my hair. Just kidding. LOL
Laura
(And, I hope there comes a time when we can have routine/diagnostic tests and not freak out! Wouldn't that be nice!) -
Hi everyone!
Amy! I am so glad for you! What a relief!
Terynsmom - Good news about the restraining order. Maybe you can relax a bit now...
My hair is starting to grow in weird patterns too. Do you think it is because it is going to be curly when it gets longer?
I am headed to Whidbey Island this weekend to Scrapbook with seven of my friends!
You all have a good weekend! -
Graycie and Laura: Thanks. I will be seeing my regular onc. on the 11th. This fatigue is very strange. Speaking of paranoia, I went back to check on the "Rare/Serious Chemo Side Effects" and was so scared to see that the A in A/C could give you heart problems. And the C could cause bone loss and leukemia!! Anyway, I am hoping the culprit is a virus.
Amy: What a relief!
Kelly: Hope your ex stays away and gives you peace of mind.
Tracy: Yup. Curly. I know.
Paula: I had something similar and it went away. Hope yours goes away as well.
If I neglected anyone it's because I am soooo tired. See you all later.
