Bwaaahhh!! Dogs in santa hats are always funny!

I caught up with the disappearing hookah smoker, he claims he had a cold. I can't get my pieces delivered until the first weekend in January. That bum. Oh well, I get to keep his final payment a little longer!

I watched the dvd this morning again and had a little weep. Laura, you sneaky wretch, put all the cute pictures of yourself in it!! I need a do-over!!

Should you be wearing a face mask! LOL A photo of you wrapping gifts with one on would make a great addition to the 2nd anniversary dvd! LOL

    RoseMarie -
I need purse lessons too! Maybe we could study together! LOL And then we could write a book titled: purses for dummies! My "purse" is usually the back pocket of my jeans! LOL

TaDah, you'll have to will it to Teryn, you'll live a mighty long time and get to enjoy it for decades. If you need to learn how to polish your silverware in seconds, let me know....I have a secret recipe of salt and water softener and tin foil ....... dip it in and 10 secs later it's shiny clean, none of that silver polishing for me!!!

    Hi Everyone,
Victoria you are right, I have been busy getting ready for Christmas. I haven't had a chance to be on here much but a day doesn't go by that I don't think of each and everyone of you........I won't be able to get back to all of you since I am so far behind with the post's but I will start with Laura, Brenda, Kelly and possibly Victoria. I am so excited for all of you. I think that is wonderful that you are finally going to meet. I can't even begin to tell you how excited I was to meet with Cathy and Mary so I know how you must feel. Can't wait to see the pictures.......Also, I love all the new pictures everyone has posted.......Laura, your husband looks like a real sweet heart.....and I still want your dog, Buddy, such a Cutie. Brenda, your little one is cute too. I have a thing for terriers since I used to have one.

Rosemarie, I agree with everyone else, you got your good looks from your Mom..You could be twins you look so much alike.

Tadah, you are so funny with the purses, etc. Did you have to go in the back alleys to get them? Sounds like you got a good deal for all those purses. I am like you Laura, my purse is usually the back pocket of my jeans which I have to say sometimes I feel like a guy.

Kelly, Did you ever find your x-mas cards? Gosh, I can't believe you had to pay all those back taxes. That stinks, especially at this time of year. I am glad to hear your EX got what was coming to him. You are so lucky to be rid of him........I also have a tea cup collection that my mom started for me years ago. The silver tea set is long gone...I hated polishing it. I threw it in the Goodwill, oops' Tadah, should it have been the Salvation Army? Sorry.......My mother would turn over in her grave if she knew I did that especially since she left me the monogrammed family silverware. I still have that, don't use it but I still have it........lol.....Tadah, thanks for the tip in polishing it. Also Kelly, good new's on the Muga.

Tracy, your storm sounds like the one we had back in October. So happy to hear you didn't lose your electricity. Our's was out for 9 days......

Amy, About your cancer freak out day.......I have had a couple of those lately myself I think that is normal once in a while. I hope you are feeling better.. Did you happen to go to the conference they had on the board the other night. I did, I think reality started sinking in again. New Desperate housewives this week I think.....FINALLY! lol
Sorry I'm not a Harry Potter fan...Although I did go to one of the movies and I did like it.

Victoria, Once again your daughter is very pretty like her Mom....

Kelly and Cathy, Yippee! You are almost done with your herceptin......

Paula, Since you are going away I will wish you a Merry Christmas and everyone else that is going away for the holiday's. I will be spending the day at my sister-in-law's since she has the biggest house. ..We went there for Thanksgiving too. At least we don't have to go far, that's the part I like although they are calling for "NO" snow this year......That will be nice for a change.

    G'morning...
First of all...TracyNY..My cousin does what you do..busy designer purses and wallets and clothes...she gave me one of her kenneth cole leather wallets cuz she had just gotten another one and this one was like NEW and she said it's an addiction!!!! She lives in NJ.

Wanted to update you on the "Hiding the In-laws" series. My SIL could NOT wait another moment, so... we invited my inlaws over to light the 7th candle for Chanukah last night. However..we had told them we were waiting for our daughter to get home from work (and we were...) but they decided to come AN HOUR EARLY! We had our door locked so that they wouldn't just walk in (we never lock our door if we are in the house)so OMG..there they are, we have a window by the door, one grandson was napping in the living room in full view but my MIL is very small and could see nothing. We woke him up and told him it was an EMERGENCY and we rushed them all down to my studio and out of sight. In the meantime, our son is yelling at everybody..WHERE's THE KEY TO THE FRONT DOOR????? LOL Then we open the door. Now...we didn't want them down in the basement all that time (studio in the basement) so........ my MIL was sitting with her back to the entrance and the stairs. Our son makes her focus on my camera and he said there was a problem with the camera so he kept telling her to say CHEESE and all this time my dh is rushing his sister and kids up to our bedroom so they could sit and watch TV. OMG! It was tooooooooooo funny and my son got part of that on the video!!!! I was ROFL this morning after I got it on my computer!!!!

Well, then, we are sitting and talking to my MIL who kept on talking about her daughters and what they were doing over their Chanukah vacation and I'm bursting until I finally left the room pretending that I was sneezing but I was laughing and could NOT hold it in!

Finally, my daughter and her boyfriend came in, we handed her bf the dvd camera (which he had learned to use the night before but he's a great photographer) I got my camera ready and then they all came downstairs and it was great! She was sooooooooooo happy and sooooooooooo surprised! Got it all on the camera!!! Wonderful!

But we are not done. Second daughter will be here tonight and she doesn't know and Sat. is a surprise birthday luncheon with cousins of hers and so on... we just told her we'd all go out for lunch on Sat. that's all she knows.

    In the meantime, she's happy!

    Kelly..so happy about your muga.

I missed something as I haven't had time to read thoroughly at all the posts but Maryanne...did you have your biopsy???

I love all the pics... Brenda..you santa dog is soooooooo cute!

Laura..cute DH with that cute, cute "laptop"!

Okay Laura..now that we know we are going to be in the MOVIES, we will give you photos that will knock your socks off!

Which reminds me...I have pink nailpolish on my toenails.

You all make me smile so much. I wish I could reply to each of you. I do read everything but lately I've been distracted.

My daughter's boyfriend's mother is going through tests for cancer. They don't know what she has and if it's cancer but she has enlarged lymph nodes in different places on her body. They are checking for lymphoma and something else... She won't talk about it. He told me and I offered to do research on whatever she is going through. I also told him that he needs to talk to her about talking about this (even his sister doesn't know anything yet although she hasn't been diagnosed yet, either) because she is a nervous wreck. We all know already that talking it out with somebody eases that anxiousness before diagnosis. He said he knows this and was to have spoken to her about it yesterday so he will talk to me about it today. I am so upset about this. So unfair. What is it about this cancer??? Why is it everywhere?

Well, I'm off to get all my things together for a big dinner party tonight and a nice birthday/family weekend. Hopefully there will not be a nuclear war..I mean..when they all get together there are a lot of um....fireworks!!!!

Merry Christmas to all of you. Enjoy your time away Paula. Enjoy your holiday everybody.

    Love you all.

Amy - we're waiting anxiously for 7/7/07...My son was so excited that the title of the book was finally revealed yesterday!
Ravdeb - how fun! I love it when surprises are actually pulled off!!
Our good friends from Tallahassee will be arriving today with their 3 kids. My friend and I were pregnant at the same time with all 3 of our kids. I miss her lots so it'll be fun. They'll stay until Christmas eve and then drive all the way home!!!
Justin told me he has waited too long for Santa, and asked if we could just go buy the toys he wants!! I also told him that once baby Jesus is placed in the manger on the advent calendar (the last item of course) it'll be Christmas...so he went ahead and put Jesus in the manger!

    Hi All!!!

Just a quick note to wish you all a very Happy Holiday! We are all sounding quite festive, such a change from last year!!!

My plans are to spend Christmas Eve with both Dave's family and mine at Dave's house for dinner. Then on Christmas day, Dave will come to my Mom's house for dinner. It will be interesting combining the two families for the first time!

I am dog sitting for my friend's Dalmation. I call her Cujo as she is a dog with many issues. She trashes the house when my friend is gone for a long period of time. I warned her that I do not plan to spend much time there and that I can't be responsible for any "surprises" that might occur while I am away from the house!!! In addition, Cujo has allergies and breaks out when she is stressed. Sooooo, I spent all of last night awake listening to her scratch. I finally got up at 1am and gave her a second Benadryl and she settled down to sleep. ARRRGGGHHH..... Only 8 more nights to go...... What was I thinking????

Hope you all have a fun and safe Holiday. I love you!

Strange things have happened to me recently.

Did I tell you that I get emails from a Mary Kay lady ALL the time. For over a year. Never have I called her and decided to order. She was (is) one of our customers at the RV place and knew I had cancer because she bought her motorhome last year. Her and her husband and I really clicked but never have had a get together. So this time I called her. She started crying. Her best friend had just gotten dx'd with breast cancer and wasn't going to get the US that had been rx'd. Trish's sister had a lump and mammo and was told to get the US ..... so when the sister told the friend, the friend said she never went. So the two of them ganged up on the friend and made her go. Long story, she has bc. Will start chemo at the end of the month. Gave Trish a list of things to give her ...... just got a thank you note from Trish and she said she got her everything on the list.

Yesterday, I was on the phone with a banker from WFB who called from the hospital regarding one of my deals. She was way rude and I asked her to hold it a minute, tell me why you're in a hospital. She said it was part of her other life. I said I am a bc survivor, I know all about hospitals. She started crying. She got dx'd last week. She was in hospital for tests. Will call me today regarding work, calling me next week regarding herself.

Last night, go to my uncles. Neighbor walks in. Intros. Next thing I know, I am being hugged to death and she starts crying. Her mom is dying of you know what. It's all over her. Susan just had a biopsy, it was negative. She has been tested genetically and it's negative but she has fibrous breasts. Gave me some bc survivor earrings. Kept telling me I had such a 'positive aura' ... and she kept telling me she loved me.

Anyway, that's it for now ..... it's all very strange for now. I feel like I have been given the torch in my area of life and feel like the poster girl or the support person. Maybe I am ready for this, I hope so. I know before, without you girls, I would be running from these women. We made each other so strong.

Just taking a break from a very loud bunch upstairs. I have a hard time when my house gets tooooooooooo full. I get overwhelmed and need a break. And so, here I am. We are waiting and waiting to begin chapter 2 of the Hiding the Inlaws series. MIL should be coming soon to find her oldest daughter and grandson here. Should be fun! But, I'm zonked!!!!

Kelly..I feel the same way...seems that every time I turn around, somebody else has gotten the terrible diagnosis. I'm so sick of it!

Tracy..sounds like you have a nice Christmas lined up. Hope the two families mingle well!

    Okay..back to the Inlaws...

Be well, and enjoy your holiday preparations.

Kelly, I don't remember ever hearing of this much BC. It seem's to be everywhere...

Ravdeb, Sound's like your party is going well except for the loud confusion...You are going to need a long rest when all is done.

Tracy, I can relate to the dog thing. I watched my neighbor's "killer" dog for a week once. Not really a killer it was just a puppy but wanted to bite everyone's ankles and it really hurt. The kids were petrified and were forever jumping up on the furniture to escape. Wouldn't you know when my friends came home from their trip they got rid of him because they couldn't stand all the biting.....I was so pissed....Couldn't they have done it before we went through all that torture. Have an enjoyable Christmas with your new family. I am so happy for you, you so deserve it.

I would like to wish all of my new sisters a wonderful healthy holiday season, may it be filled with joy, love and family. I feel blessed now to be a part of this great group of sisters, you all bring so much support and love to my life on a regular basis.

Our computer as been broke for a few days, power supply died.

My mom had her annual mammogram on December 15 and got called back this week for a repeat mamo. What does this mean? I thought that the purpose of her remaining after the mamo was to see if the image was okay. My mind is racing and I’m trying to remain positive but negative thoughts keep entering my mind. She is 67 and has been on HRT for many years, although I have tried to tell her that it increases your risk of bc…she says her hotflashes are too bad. I can relate to that somewhat as mine are like hers use to be but knowing what I now about estrogen now, it frightens me. Any thoughts ladies???
Her repeat mamo is on Dec 27 and then she is scheduled to go to Florida for three months leaving on Dec 30.

Victoria - I too am on an AI and Zoladex injections. I read that study and thought, no...it must be skewed somehow why would we be taking a med that causes women to have strokes at 60% rate? I'm gonna believe that it is a small number of women and the women that had the strokes were in the older age category...hmmm. I cant afford not to take the Armidex as I am stage IIB, 3 positive nodes, highly er/pr+ and a 4 cm tumour.
We don’t live in Toronto where the Pope came to visit, cant even remember what year that was? We live in a small town about an hour west of Toronto. I would love to live in a warm climate, hate winter although the past few winters we have not had a lot of snow, just some pretty cold days. This year so far we have had one snow fall in early November and December as been extremely mild and dry up until today. I have seen the desert we have friends who live in AZ and went to visit them in April this year. Landing in Phoenix was amazing coming over the mountains and then seeing a baron desert landscape, so breath taking….
I too love this time of year but am so tired and havent even finished wrapping presents yet. Your daughter is stunning! Love the picture of your pooch, big smooches.

Laura - love your new avtar. The elf link made we holler with laughter. I went and made one up for myself and my hubby said my head wasnt attached properly to my body, hee, hee...sent it off to my girlfriend in AZ. More to worry about I didn’t know that some bcs become resistant to AI’s. Your furbaby is gorgeous, hubby is cute too! I love that you logged on while getting your oil changed. Our computer has been on the fritz since Wednesday morning and I thought on the way home yesterday that I had this huge piece of my day missing as I couldn’t log in to see how all my sisters were doing. My prayers go out to you that you will have a quick recovery from your prophy mast.

Amy -I'm happy that the troll has left our thread. As I said before you are an inspiration to all the young breast cancer survivors out there. Enjoy your weekend and post more pictures---love all the great ones of your family, the beach one is great. It looks cool in that picture as you all have sweaters on? I’m sadden that you have to make so many decisions when it comes to having children. Its just not fair that this has happened to you at such a young age. You have to believe that chemo has done its job and now the Tamoxifen is an added weapon in your arsenal to keep this beast away. I am doing ovary suppression with Zoladex injections but am 42 so past my child bearing years. At your age Zoladex injections would only shut down your ovaries temporarily I believe, something to ask your doctors about at least that way you would still be able to have children naturally after your 5 years on tamoxifen.

Maryanne - any snow in Nova Scotia? We certainly dont have any---rain, rain go away is what I'll be singing this weekend. We are forecasted to have rain for the next three days! Love your new avtar too. I too had my chemo once every 3 weeks, every 2 weeks would have been hard. I never had a problem with my blood cell count probably because I had a chance to recoup each round.

Gracyie - love the new avtar --thankyou also for your Christmas Card. I have been amiss this year in sending cards out will make up for it next year.

Kelly – happy to see that your ex got what he deserved and he will let you live your lives happily now. You made me smile telling us about your daughter trying to imitate Deb’s English accent---she is too precious for words. You are a sweetheart helping out the newly diagnosed ladies. I;m sure they really appreciated your advice having traveled the same path a short while ago. Its not right that this disease is everywhere now, striking younger and younger women. We need a cure, where is it?

Rosemarie – I’m with you, too chicken to get a tattoo either. You look so much like your mom! Enjoy your visit with your girlfriend. From the mouths of babes---I have waited to long for Santa, can I buy my own toys. It so fun seeing Christmas through children’s eyes.

TracyNy – where do you get the energy to shop till you drop and a bargain shopper as well, nine purses for $140? I;m hoping Santa brings me a purse for Christmas.

Brenda – hope you are able to meet up with Laura and Kelly.

Paula – you are a beauty and I have no doubt that you will be beating the men away with a stick before you now it. Are you talking about the Playstation 3? It was a big seller this xmas here and now where to be found now in any stores. Paula enjoy your time off. I work only one day next week the 26th of December as I do the payroll and someone has to pay people and then I go back to work on Jan 2. It is so nice to have hair this year but it is getting to that awkward stage on the top, I don’t want to cut it for a third time but let it grow. Do you just cute the top to thin it out and tame the curls or leave it and try to stick some cute clips in it? What to do?

Ravdeb – I can relate to being tired…seems I feel that way a lot. My coworkers at work ask how I am feeling and I now just answer fine thanks as I don’t want to appear that I am a whiner and they don’t get it anyway. My hubby is very sensitive when it comes to how I feel, he always asks how my sleep was and always does way too much around the house lately. I’m sorry about the possibility of your daughter’s boyfriend’s mother being diagnosed with cancer. It seems to be everywhere nowadays. I really think the environment and the chemicals that they put in our food has something to do with it.

Linda – sorry to hear about your friend.

Debbie444 – are you going to be the next celebrity of our group? Poor Sam, our pets do get their feelings hurt don’t they?

Tracyseattle – hope your feeling better. Enjoy your Christmas with Dave’s family and have fun dog sitting. We have two dogs. One is a puppy who is 4 months old. She has already discovered how to take down a string of lights off the tree along with the garland I had on it. Took the garland off and put the lights back up, hopefully she leaves them alone.

Jill – greetings across the oceans to you.

Cathy – your right, it is hard sometimes to not think about Cancer but I try not to let it consume my life. I want to be here for many, many more years and don’t want to waste them worrying.

Brenda – the pictures of your dog with the Santa hat are cute and then sitting on it. We have reindeer antlers that I might try to take a picture of with our puppy if she will leave it on long enough.

    Its bed time.

Have a great evening, love to all my sisters.

I have so many things to be thankful for but today has left me in tears. My dad's high school friend has just died. Fought the cancer fight for 10 years, KariLynn has legions on her skull and I've sent her 2 wigs today via DHL, not to mention the ladies in my real life with bc.

On top of this, today was a day of huge explosions at work. I finally had it with some customers and told them that as humans residing on the same planet it was time to get along. They finally agreed that the 100, 000+ motorhome was a hunk of metal and that people were more important. I showed them the printout of the Susan Komen article and they agreed that it was all silly. After 8 hours of stress, on this woman's birthday, they finally agreed to take the motorhome. He had yelled, accused people of wrongdoing when it was his own shopping spree during the time he ordered the coach and when it got delivered. Our owner was using profanity, our customer called us liars and that is ONE THING I AM NOT. I cannot tell you how many times I was in tears today.

Butttttttttt I came to daycare to pick up the Love Bug and she had a tree hat on. It was construction paper cut out and decorated. As we left, a little boy's mom had sent him to potty and he came out without pants on, undies at his ankles and said, "Goodbye Sweetie," to my daughter. I told the mom, I will tell my daughter about the first time a naked man called her sweetie!!!!

That is priceless, Kelly! Good for you!
Love the story about the kid with his pants down!!! They start early these days!

Again no time to answer all of you as we are moving on to Part 3 of the series "Hiding the Inlaws".

Last night the older SIL and her son came. Plane was an hour early and we live an hour away so my dh went running out the door. We had the younger SIL sit at my MIL's house to "hold" her there so that they wouldn't come early this time and spoil the fun!

And it worked. We had DVD and digital cameral ready, she came in and was truly shocked! She had spoken to this daughter just before she left for Israel and her daughter had told her she'd be coming in the summer! We had told my MIL to fix up two beds at her house because the first daughter that arrived wanted to move over to her mom's house, but that was so there would be beds ready for the next daughter.

If you can possibly follow this...

We told my MIL we'd all go out for lunch today (Sat) and we'd let her know when we are leaving some time in the morning. As she was leaving to go home after we had a BIG birthday celebration for her..cake, gift (she is SURE there are no surprises awaiting her)she told me that she would pay for lunch after all we've done for her!! She has no idea what lies ahead!!! She is in cloud 9 thrilled to have all her kids together. It hasn't happened in years!

But, as we say here.."dayeinu"..meaning it would have been enough...but we have MORE!!!

    Happy Holidays everybody!!!

Kelly so sorry on the loss of your dad's high school friend. This blasted disease affects so many lives including our dear sisters on this board. I did not know that KariLynn had further progression, that makes me really sad....you are a dear soul for sending your wigs to her.

Your customers surely got a good dose of reality from you. Good for you!!

Little ones just light up our lives and the things they do, this made me smile:)

Ravdeb - keep popping in when your inlaws drive you crazy!

    Take care my sisters.

    Hi,

I am at my Mom's. Ravdeb we are pulling off a similar relative fiasco. Successfully tricked my Mom. So far she has been surprised to find that Christmas is at her house, then that my sister and family are here too. The next surprise will be tomorrow when my brother and family arrive. It ahs been fun keeping the secrets and it has made the whole season less stressful for Mom as she wpold have spent monthst making everything just so.

I had my skin biopsy on Wednesday, likely won't have report for another week. Thanks for asking Ravdeb.

Kelly, I feel surrounded by BC tto. Quite sad really as we all know how profoundly it affects us. Merry Christmas... to those nasty customers. Why do some people think thye own you just because they have money?

Michelle, hope your Mom's callback is nothing. There are a lot of false positives on call back. We havw about an inch os snow, all is pretty. Tomorrow is suppposed to be 9c, so that will be gone. I am glad for the mild weather though as my brother and family are travelling from Ottawa.

I too love my DVD, it has gone missing in the XMAS rush. Hope it turns up. Have you managed to post it online ,Laura?

Jill, last year beat-up, this year up-beat...and the beat goes on. How is the weather in Scotland?

Cathy when is your last Herceptin? Mine is on Wednesday...yahoo. I am going to bring my kids with me and after a group of us will celebrate at a local restaurant. It will be strange to have no more meds to fight. On the other hand I think I will get back to feeling better than I do now. Kelly ,thank god your MUGA was good. You are now in the final chase to the end.

Laura, when is your surgery on Wednesday? We will all think of you during the procedure. It should be easier without the full nde dissection. Hope your pathology is all good and your healing is speedy and uneventful.

I have truely onl owned three purses, TADAH. Fashion Queen I am not! I HATE shopping too.

Paula, my son Has the Nintendo Wii. He is loving it. He is 14 and a real gamer. He saved his money since last Spring. He and three friends camped out from 3 in the morning the day it was released. I was worried at first but knew he was such a gamer that he wouldn't budge from the line. He and 30 others went home with one. I think they are the only ones in our city that have one. I bought him the two extra controllers for Xmas. Hope you find one. Thank goodness he didn't want PS3, that costs about 1000$ I think.

    Fists up!

Rosemarie..there you go again..making fun stuff with the kids! YOu are terrific! You remind me of our cousin who would do fun stuff with all the younger cousins. How nice!

maryanne..enjoy the secrets! I think I've been inspired to do a surprise on MY parents, too. Must discuss with my sibs.

    Part3 of Hiding the Inlaws...

We took the van with most of us earlier and one sil had rented a car and took her parents to the birthday surprise luncheon. And yes..she was totally unaware of this and was totally surprised AGAIN! She was thrilled.

The funny part about this is that she told me afterwards that she was a touch upset that we had not invited her sister to any of this but realized that we HAD invited her after she walked in and saw all of her sister's family and all her cousins, too!

It was really great and I have pictures that I will post, of course.

Now I'm off to the beach with one SIL.

Have a wonderful Christmas all of you.
    Love you all!

Happy holidays to everyone. Thanks everyone who sent me a card, I am useless with anything to do with the post office. I am known for walking around with birthday cards for weeks crumpled in my handbag!!

I finished staging my table after I cleaned up all the miles of ribbons and wrapping paper. I'll post a picture at some point. I'll be having Christmas dinner at my SIL's house, she's a wicked chef and I'll be there with my empty stomach and tupperware to take home what I haven't stuffed in my gut!

    Enjoy your celebrations ladies!!

Tracy NY>..just wondered which handbag you carry your crumpled b-day cards in!!!

Victoria..how beautiful..is that your house with lights in paper bags? It looks like the way we lit the way to our wedding. How pretty that is!!!

I am in agreement with you..anxious to start the new year, 2007, with lots of new hope and optimism that it will be whole lot better healthwise than it was this year.

And Victoria.. you are right. We should never end the funfest. In fact..life should be a Funfest! The surprise not only brought a lot of joy to my mother in law but showed me how much family means to us all and all that secretive planning has brought us closer together.

We don't make a celebration of the secular years and I miss this terribly. The kids have learned to celebrate it and though there is always school on Jan 1st, there are few kids who show up. Dumb, I know.

I think it's a special kind of celebration unlike our Jewish New year because the Jewish New Year, though it has its similarities, is based on a religious setting and has more of a spiritual essence.

Here it is not called the New Year but rather "Sylvester". If any of you have info on this, please pass it on. I had never heard of it growing up and only heard of Sylvester when I came to Israel. According to some, Sylvester was a pope (?) who was anti-semetic which is the reason it is frowned upon here. It has something to do with him...his birthday? his death? I can't remember.

Maybe those outside of N. America have heard of it???

    Never mind...
It's Christmas Eve now. Enjoy. Hope Santa comes with lots of good cheer.

    Drink eggnog.

Stand under the mistletoe (I love that tradition!)

    And smile and have fun....

Well, I got out of work early and Dave took us to dinner and then we went to "Candy Cane Lane" again to see all the lights. They are so magical and fun. Teryn was delighted, of course.

I forgot to tell you all about the water cruise .... it was beautiful. It was a night to remember. We met David's daughter, Faith, 8, and she and Teryn got along so well. When we went to get in the truck, Teryn and I were trying to get her car seat out of my car and David kept telling her to get into his truck. He had got her a booster seat for his truck. Teryn was quited thrilled to have her 'permanent' spot in his truck. My uncle was his funny self and we got bundled up to sit outside on the boat and eat and drink some beer/wine and cruise along.

Tonight is Christmas Eve, we are going to my brother's house with my Dad and David. Should be a fun time although David says he will be missing his family .... the kids will be with his ex wife. I can understand, I missed Teryn last year when she was with her dad.

Got most of the presents wrapped, will finish up tonight when Little Girl is asleep. She loves going to bed this week since each day brings her one day closer to the Big Day.

Dev, so glad that your family is having such fun and creating so many fun memories .... Life is meant to not just be lived but savored like a good bite of Prime Rib!!

It seems we all are savoring our lives. We have not moved on, we have progressed. Cancer will never be behind us, but it has changed us and not all for the bad......if I knew I was cured, I would say this was a good thing but I cannot ever know for sure. I enjoy who we all are now. We are really enjoying every sandwich.

Mary-Anne, can't wait for you to be finito on this Herceptin ... I have to go on 12/26!

    Merry Xmas!!
