i should be paying you ladies for what you do to my ego...

gathered all the apps in my cute little vintage dress and will turn them in tommorow...
    but...
starting to look at my past life of marketing and web developmennt and see a lot more moulah there...

so after i turn in my apps across the street, i will start marketing myself:))) for web development jobs..

but i would like to get a little job in a store (a side thing?) because i live in an apartment across the street from a mall, i used to work retail for many years, i could get lots of clarins(LOVE IT) samples and

    i want my own money...

frankly, i still have a little side pain from loooong drive down here, but nothing i can't manage...

tina, how were the dragonboat races...

and another thing, how do you like the way i highjacked the thread?

ate broccholi and salad for dinner...

    moisturize!

i love you all and thanks again!

I had a friend at work who clerked at Lord&Taylor during the holiday season. I am not sure she actually cleared any cash from the job. It seems like she was always getting something cute that had just been marked down with her employee discount!

Don't forget the 8 glasses of water.

Dragon boat races were a blast! I will continue to participate in them I think.

Good luck with the job search, they would be foolish not to hire you.

You look adorable Laura! Rose this stuff has cleared away any whiteheads or black heads I had, I mean my skin is stripped clean!

I loved retail jobs during college, nothing better than a sideline with discounts and samples!

Goats are looking mighty fine! I have to shave 5 more goats, they will be much cooler. But I have to coordinate the shaving with my kids who are really busy this summer.

ComputerWorld is big on how important baby boomers are, and that we can't afford to have them all leave the work force at once.

I just wish my clients would get that message!

Try a fancy grain with raisins, shredded carrots.

Keep applying. Somebody will be quitting soon to do something different in the fall and you'll get picked up. I was surprised when my son went to work at Starbucks how long it took for him to get hired and trained.

The web job will either appear in a flash or be a 6 month project, so go ahead and pursue that. Don't they say one month for each $10K you make?

that sounds awesome, the grain with raisins and carrots..thank you...
have some brown rice, will start there...

next time you are at whole foods, check out the dr hauschka skin products...i love them and have used them on and off for years...
to get rid of the stubborn white heads, i know it sounds weird, but the face oil really loosens them up and then
    exfoliate...

lol...i exfoliated so well dead skin keeps peeling off and it is much smoother underneath...

i won't give up on getting the fun job or the real job...

have to go back up north next week to pick up son and massage house...

got a loan from boyfriend lined up so i can live stressfree...

transition is stressful but i am working hard at pampering myself, eating well and remaining calm...

kinda tough for a little firecracker like me...

    heehaw...

I am doing oven fried catfish tonight. Last night I steamed some cauliflower. I have some of that slaw with broccoli and carrots, I will probably stirfry it a bit with some soy sauce. I had a recipe but I can't remember where I got it or where I put it!

What time is dinner? I like catfish.

Sometimes people crumple a package of those ramon noodle soups up into slaw. It will absorb a bit of dressing but generally stays crunchy. I've seen it more with vingeary dressings, never with creamy ones.

Laura - Cowgirl is from Texas. They only have one sauce there! Salsa!

Did the rice dish work out?

I got some apples and fennel yesterday. We're gonna have slaw at my house again.

    Cowgirl,

Oven fried catfish. We ate out last night and I was down to choosing between catfish and salmon. I chose catfish since I make salmon a lot. What seasonings do you use on the catfish?

    happy birthday ginger!
hope you get to eat out again today...

the rice was real good also added slivered almonds...

slaw is good if you watch the fat in the dressing and use cabbage, i think...

    love fennel crusted salmon...

think i got a web job lined up, will tell ya more later...fun stuff...

That was fast on the job front. Great news!

I spent $1.89 on goat youghurt today. It's interesting.

I like to bread catfish and sprinkle cajun seasoning on it and then bake it. In diet days I'll just sprinkle the seasoning.

Thanks, Laura. I'll eat out with family at a place with a great salad bar. it has all the fancy greens I love. (Ate that catfish meal last night.)

I started my day with a bowl of cereal with fresh strawberries, blueberries, and bananas. Wonderful. The fruit is soooo great here now.

My family loves rice with slivered almonds.
Thanks for the tips on fixing fish.

Laura, looking forward to hearing about your job!

    any benefits to goat yoghurt?

I"m waiting for Cowgirl to tell us that!

As far as I know the main benefit was to somebody at 'Redwood Hill Farms' who made the wonderful stuff.

Calcium-wise it's a bit light. Regular gets your about 30% of your normal, this says it provides 25%. It tastes alright. I'd thought it might have a distinctive -goaty- flavor but I think not.

One of the many fun things about tamoxifen is that I get yeast infections really easily. So I try to keep a little yogurt running through all the time.

At least you know how to spell it!

Well I have been resting my cold. The catfish was wonderful, I use bread crumbs and corn meal with some spices. Sauce is mostly salsa for me, I count it as a portion of veggies. I did find that recipe Rose with the slaw and ramen noodles, I liked it! Boys ate it but complained a lot.

Last two days I have been sateeing onions in my iron skillet to serve on top of anything. I added a tomatoe today, it was delightful. Yesterday morning I added a bit of cauliflower to my breakfast burrito instead of bacon, with a bit of lime juice and salsa, it was yummy.

Goat cheese overall has two wonderful things about it, it is lower in fat overall than regular milk. It also adds some type of culture that you would not normally have not eating goat milk, yogurt or cheese. A dairy goat breeder told me his family's allergies have been greatly reduced since switching. He is the one that makes goat ice cream, it is very good.

I have shaved 3 goats with two more to go, I am waiting for the last crazy ones to know how strong we are as a clipping family. The shaved goats were pretty good, Middle son only got kicked once. They are really glad they are shaved now, I am hoping they talked to the other two!

For the catfish I use onion and seasoned bread crumbs, with a fresh cornmeal. There is a farmer we know grinds fresh corn meal.

    Here is the recipe
    catfish
I use less butter though and brush it on. The flavor helps

    the fish stay tender

Here is the slaw, I made exactly because I had never tried it. I would take the sugar down to 2 TBsp. and the oil down to about 1/4 c. I used balsamic vinegar, and that is a lot of flavor alone. But at least it gives you an idea on what to do.
    broccoli slaw

If I see goat milk ice cream I'll try it.
