wow deb..... it's so great to come on and find all of these greetings of strength and encouragement, you are so well loved here and such an example to all of us to keep on trucking -- thru the good weather and the bad.
i'm sending you those prayers i promised with a Las VEGAS kick to 'em. The place here is all lights and blinking and blaring and 24/7 full of wow, wow, wow!!
and i'm here with my closest 1400 kindergarten friends: LOLOL. some of the little 'ol lady teachers went to see the Chippendale dancers last night and were a wash with giddy laughter this afternoon. goodness, goodness, goodness...........
well sweetie, you haven't posted here for a couple of days and that always gets me a bit concerned. i'm gonna be very eager to see your 'handwriting' well i suppose it's actually typing, but your posts are so descriptive of your struggles and your sorrows and your successes -- that it feels like i'm reading your own hand written letters.
so, no kidding!! i really did see ELVIS last night after our welcome reception on the 64th floor in the PENTHOUSE!! i was headed back to the elevator and there he was with his dark flipped over hair, and his long shaggy sideburns...... he was not in costume, he was a "workin' Elvis"
i'm just kicking myself all day, that i didn't think to get a picture with him: dang! i know you'd have gotten such a kick outta such a thing, if i'd a just thunk quicker: double dang.
come on just as soon as you have some energy to do so.

Deb wondering what you are up to. Think maybe Faith will win it big in Vegas! Hope you have been able to get out. Remember baby steps at a time if you need to. Everyday is a new day. Late yesterday dark clouds rolled in looked like rain. Then around the clouds the sun shone thru. It was beautiful and I was thinking you placed em there how can I doubt your powers to heal...So Deb lets all put on our whole armour of Faith..... We are so waiting to hear from you.. GOD bless..
-
slonedeb......... still no news from KY on how your week has gone. i'm so eager to hear from you.
now i've finished my conference and presentations and completed my book signing...... next pack it all back together and return to a much cooler Ohio. heard it was 106 degrees yesterday: yikes.
i just love the way that kbug and tender have written to keep your spirits high. you have really wonderful people here who care about your well being. i am always uplifted when i read the posts here -- of the encouragement extended....

Wishing you well, Deb, down in Kentucky. Hope you're somewhere out of the sun, and maybe in the cooler part of Kentucky. The dog days of the summer are approaching, so keep up drinking water. How are you doing on avoiding the sodas so to keep your calcium stable? So many love their sodas, I'm sure it's not an easy thing to do.I've been thinking of you Deb. Know you had your scans this week. Fingers and toes crossed for you.((Hugs))Tender

Deb sending hugs and love to you. I feel you may be a lil under the weather. I was watching a rerun of the show REBA. It is so funnyusually, but this show was about her son in law not believing in God. She talked to the minister and he wa saying we all get trials and testings. Even the strong in hfaith ones. Well we are learning to lean on others and lift one another up in prayer. It pointed out even the people we know who seem the strongest around struggle. But Deb one day we will be worry, pain, and tear free. But I am hoping it is many years off yet. So remember you are not defeated.
Faith a book signing what is that about. How have I missed that. LOL Well with me no telling... GOD BLESS ALLLLLLLL.....
-
Morning Deb: We are having some rain which is nice since we are dry here. Now my grass will take off growing to catch up with the weeds who always grow. LOL We really have not mowed alot here this summer for when we have the grass looks dead. We are all waiting patiently to see your next post but we are not patient people . LOL No news is good news I pray. Praying you are just having a relaxing time and are not sick. Have a blessed weekeend.... GOD BLESS....
-
oh slonedeb, i so wanted to see some sort of post from you this morning..... i'm in the vegas airport, thru security (had some sort of new high-faluutin' fancy machine search trial????) and have a minute or two before my flight.
i'm with kbug, that no news is good news. i wonder if it would be possible for Jacky or your daughter to post us a little news.
know that we are all continuing our prayers on your behalf. wondering wondering about your scans and just how your managing.
i wish your friendly neighbor would come give us a post.
xx00xx00xx00xx00xx00xx00xx00xx
kbug, i'll have to tell ya about my book sometime -- thanks for your curiosity.
-
I too was hoping we would see a post from you Deb, and of course am counting you know you have your supporters here to lend a hand. Like kbug said a bit ago, you've been so faithful, strong through all the ups and downs, it's left us in awe of you. As faithandfifty said too, you have seeded your own garden here, which allows you to sow from us too.Your admiring and caring friends, of whom I am only one of many,Tender

You're always on my mind, Deb, wishing you comfort and peace. I am so very sorry to read your post that you're in pain, swollen and having trouble breathing. I think you should call your oncologist and let her know your at home with these problems, Deb. You may need supplemental oxygen to help you breath easier. Please stay close to our dear friend Deb; relieve her pain and let her doctor reach out to her to help with this. Let Deb know how very cherished she is. Let her hear our whispers of affection, support and good will.Amen,Tender

Dear Heavenly Father I ask you to touch our dear friend and sister Deb. To restore her to her normal portion of health. We continue to claim healing. Lord move this mountain from her. Bind satan and the cancer in her body. Lord we know you are the creator of all good things. Thank you for our dear sisters faith. We leave this at your feet Lord and praise you for the answer. AMEN
Deb so sorry you are not feeling well. Make sure you hydrate yourself. Keep your head up and look up for the creator has the healing power. GOD BLESS MY FRIEND....
-

-
yes slonedeb, we do indeed look for your post upon coming onboard here @ our cyber family.
i know you've really had such a rough go round lately.... i'm so sorry to know that you suffer.
today i made it out to church for the first time since helping my daughter with her toddler and then the babies -- so it's been 5 whole months. i loved hearing the music and prayers -- i'd really missed that thru the passing weeks. it made my heart sing to be able to return.
i continuously was thinking and praying for you while there..... contemplating the role of pain and suffering and why some prayers are seemingly answered and others languish. i'm not any closer to the answers but i felt a calm in asking them......
Our Creator is in charge. I do trust in that mercy and compassion that i see demonstrated in the colorful, blooming zinias outside the sanctuary.
Your light continues to shine -- as kbug as pointed out.
Hugs to you today. gentle hugs for our KY Deb.

I am up early could not sleep so thought I would see who all had posted. Deb I was reading rhe post by Faith about prayers. Last night as I was praying I was wondering are we a prayer away from the healing and the answer. But we must continue to be faithful in believing. There was a person in chat the other night who thought God did not love them and was angry.I told them he does love them. I so wanted to make them feel his love. I know that bc has made us a family here and that we can share Gods love with others.
Dear Lord I will continue to lift up my dear sister Deb in faith believing for the healing not yet seen but believing it will come. Pour out a healing balm of Gilead upon her. Touch her from the top of her head to the soles of her feet dear Lord. Give her strength to go thru this walk. Strengthen her faith and let her feel your mighty power. For you are our where our help comes from. God I ask you bless us one and all in a special way. For we love you and praise your holy name Father God.
AMEN
-
slonedeb -- it's a new week to begin all over again.
keep taking the baby steps towards wholeness that you are able -- appreciating whatever brings your heart some happiness
do all you can to take good care of yourself in the midst of this trial...... your faith shines thru all of the setbacks you've endured.

-
deb, you're never gonna lose my friendship -- and i'm sure i speak for the others who've been so faithful to you during these rough days. we're here for ya. period. as long as the internet is operational -- we're here! we're here for ya. as best we can.
know that you are the toughest fighter this beast has ever encountered..... you show your spirit on a daily basis and you're unwillingness to buckle under to this crud makes you a hero. keep sticking your tongue out and running in the opposite direction as fast as you can
the fact is -- you are HANGING in there!! in spite of all of this nonsense, you've gone to your grandchild's graduation and you've celebrated another Fourth of July and then your 34th anniversary. take that beast. our slonedeb keeps celebrating one more day with each sunrise.
have you been able to enjoy any more produce from your garden?
i hurt my back while carrying our toddler up the stairs to take a nap yesterday. nothing like what you face, but it just shows how all things can shift in the blink of an eye..... i'll need to rest and keep from lifting anything for a while..... i've got a week where i can focus on paperwork, so that's perfect timing.
next week i travel to New Hampshire to speak to Kindergarten teachers there -- i get to deliver the keynote, so i'm very excited!!
love to you..........

So happy to hear from you, Deb, but unsettled that you continue to have such problems. I hope you will consider different types of pain medicine routes, as ladies have said they work well (like the Fentanyl patch for example). Can your DH call and talk with your oncologist tomorrow and relay what you said here tonight? You are such a wonderful friend here, Deb, and touch so many hearts. I see that over and over again in the words which come your way. I continue to pray for you daily and am appreciative of your effort in letting us know how you are and that you hear our prayers.May you feel our hands holding you tight, a circle of love unbroken.Tender
-
Deb I am sorry things are still tough. Our friendships here are forever.... Keep up the good fight my dear. I am so proud of you. Have you heard the childs song IF the devil doesn't like it he can sit on a tack. Well he can have a seat. We are GODS property... We love you and one another and never stop hoping. May you feel his love for you and ours..... God bless...
-
slonedeb, just wanted you to know that i got a doctor's appointment for my back, this afternoon. really got things in an uproar & i need the pros to help me mend
i echo tender's thoughts about holding you closely in prayer and concern & bug's singing that little song:
if the devil doesn't like it he can sit on a tack, sit on a tack, sit on a tack
i've got that joy, joy, joy, joy down in my heart. Where? down in my heart
yes, feel our support and care, know you are never alone
asking for a miracle, with your name on it!!

Deb it is a real hot day here so only went out to check the mail today. Oh yeah gotta love junk mail. NOT... LOL I get chemo in morn so will be long day for me since it is three hour drive one way.. Not sure if anyone is going with me. My daughter is a slacker with going lately. I guess maybe she gets afraid it can happen to her.
Praying Deb you are able to eat and drink a lil more and getting stronger. Try to doing something you haven't been able to do. God may suprise you with your being able to do it. Sleep with the Bible under your pillow it is great for helping you sleep.
Faith praying your back straightens out soon. Hugs and Love to you also.
Dear Heavenly Father I pray believing your word is true. Asking for a brand new touch for all my dear sisters and for dear Deb. Lord we struggle and feel so helpless but we must remember that our strength comes from you. Renew our strength. Lord help us to never forget you are always here and that you love us. Lord thank you for the answer that is on the way . I give praise to you Lord. AMEN

Another summer sleeper, right Deb. Cicadas, rainstorms, sun and heat, this is the circle of summer life. When I was young, I use to try to out-fox and out-chase this daily circle: always pushing, seeking new, not being patient, missing a lot of the day.Now we have greater patience with summer days and life in general. What will be is better accepted, less angst over. The impatience of youth is replaced with the splendor of insight, tolerance and deep friendships. Support from strangers joined in a common cause is good enough; even better, welcomed and looked forward to.You are such a friend, Deb. Constant, enduring, caring and comprehending. Please know how much that is cherished by myself and others as you spend your summer days.((Hug to you))Tender
-
slonedeb, my doc says i've "just" pulled muscles in my back -- nothing structural/nothing wrong with discs -- so it's likely to be a slow heal, he's given me exercises to stretch and strengthen
hugs to you tonight
xx00xx00xx00xx00xx00xx
tender & bug, i just love reading your uplifting posts. bug: best on your chemo -- be careful on the long drive.
hugs friends. hope and trust.
