    Hi Seeking and Notan,

     Everyone is welcome on the vacation thread.  We're glad to have you both.

     Post your favorite pics or just dreams of where you'd like to visit!!

    Blue - The Sistine Chapel and la pieta are extraordinary.  I can see how it would

    bring tears to your eyes. Please, take me with you the next time you visit Italy. 

    I'm so jealous of you and Lisa. 

    Hopefully, I'll be in San Diego this September and have new pics to post.

    I'll be visiting my little "Wonders of the World"!!

    I know what you're saying SoCal about Michelangelo.  I also had the pleasure of seeing his Moses.  It was so life-like that he, himself could not understand why it wouldn't come to life.  He got so angry with it,  that he hit the knee of the statue with his hammer and asked why it wouldn't talk to him.

    Notanangel, I'm sure you are right.  If she feels the need to come and post her vacation pics, who are we to stop her.  I say.......go for it.  If she wants to cause trouble, well, the air is the air.......we can't change it.

    Blue..when we saw Moses, we had to put tokens in the lights so we could see it in the dark church...

    No problem seeing "David" or the prisoners in Florence..

    I read alot of the threads here and the Time To Circle The Wagon's thread has trouble erupting within the first couple weeks of it's inception.  People left the thread that early because of it.  Don't even try and tell me that thread didn't have trouble until certain people came along.  It has a long history of many, many times of trouble before Oct 2007.  You all go back and re-read it yourselves. 

     I'm not the one being rude here.  I'm pointing out the rudeness of others and asking why they are on a support site being non-supportive.  That's only causing trouble if you think pointing out your ugliness is causing trouble.  Well, perhaps for those being ugly it is.

    I see Nicki's post on your Hijack thread with her hateful accusations is gone.  hmmmm, wonder how many More chances she'll get?   She seems to have an endless supply of chances.  

    I still think the Time To Circle The Wagon ghost town forum should be removed with the Afghan thread being retained and given a sticky in the regular Moving Beyond forum.

    Good evening photographers..........Valerie I love the picture of Cape May, N.J......wasn't there a movie made there with Stephen Dorff?...........with Susan Surandon........he robs a bank and takes her hostage.......it really is a cute movie................Bren love the pics of your grandsons............the oldest is soooooo cute.........jeez he is going to have the girls chasing him on the playground........Blue I would just love to go to Italy............the Vatican would be one place I would love to visit............anyway guys keep the pictures coming.........Blue we are already up to page 6.....................Shokk

    My time in SD is usually really short ... a long weekend,

    but hopefully I can sneak away for an hour or two!!

    Shlokk, because of the rudeness you brought to this thread.  Go read my first post here.  Fine, keep the time capsule but close it to further postings.  It's a ghost town.  You all left it and it doesn't deserve it's own forum any longer, it never really did.

    ShrewWeed, ahhhh, too late, you all are removing my posts and they don't say anything bad.  They ask valid questions and make valid points.  I said I'd leave and I'm gone but just found it ironic that my posts are being reported and comments are still being made so I have a right to respond to them.  No longer though.  I'm outta here.  What a long, strange trip it's been.

    edited to add that my response to Shlokk no longer makes sense because she edited her post to remove all her questions that I was responding to.

    Charlene has never been able to walk away, always had to have the last word; was always wronged - has to have attention.  Appaently she forgot that she deleted her post earlier today that gave her away.

    This is not a discussion of the Wagon Circle - this is a different thread.

    Onward and upward.  Lets go back to Rome and visit the Pantheon.  I found this building very intriguing and went back 3 times, during that week. This and the Tiber River.  

    The interior is absolutely beautiful. 

     

    One interesting thing about the architecture is that the opening at the top lets in light but not anything else.  If it rains, none comes in.  I did see the odd feather on the floor though.

    Ok..I took these in Florence with an ancient digital camera..

    When we go to Italy I always plan to spend at least a week here...other than the Lake District, my favorite..
