So clear your wordsThis night you chooseFaithful, hopeful and power-fullIt's times like theseWords said with such aplombI'm often brought to my kneesYour strength shines strongOur friend SlonedebA force impossible not to seeSo fear thee not muchFor those children you touchFor too, they hear your needs

slonedeb did you see Stephanie is now home? she's posted a very upbeat greeting and extends her thanks for all the prayers of support.
i don't think it's possible to give this disease to ourselves -- regardless of the care we've taken etc.
there's just not enough known about where this does come from, but deb, please do not take on that responsibility. we will continue to pray for your whole family, that the kids can see your faith shining as strong as ever, even in the midst of this whole ugly ordeal that you've had to undergo -- in the efforts to hang on to life.
we are indeed winners!!
edited, cuz I forgot to hug ya:

happy joy for waking up to another morning...... whatever our lot in life, we have the opportunity to breathe in good and breath out anything bad. Breathe deeply my dear deb-of-slone. Take in all the good memories of those 34 years today....... breathe out the pain and hardships -- let them go. Release all the hurt and disappointment. Release the expectations that bring your heart sorrow.
Your children were raised in the best manner that you knew how...... you brought them up with faith. The fact that they are wrestling with God over how he could allow you to be sick, means that they know there is a God to be angry with. Rejoice in that fact. They are hurting and want you well -- and they want God to "prove" that he is good -- making your pain vanish. If it were just that simple, everyone would be faithful.
Read our Stephanie's postings and grasp such a deeper sense of faith...... she's teaching us all.

Hello Deb. I am so blessed you are my friend. We have many wonderful bc sisters who always know what to say and we can always count on. Thank you for your prayers. I will stay on the avastin and gemzar at least for a bit longer. We are in the best hands possible with the good Lord. Deb you have really grown in your walk I can tell. I continue to pray for you and all our dear sisters. Keep praising him thru the storm. God bless....
-
slonedeb, kbug, and tender........ i open my day with prayers for each of you and for all here at our BCO family. may we appreciate the friendships that we are able to forge here in the midst of our journey. i learn so much from each of you and am grateful for everyone's support for one another.
slonedeb. i'm wondering how you are holding up today? has the throat infection responded to the medication? i'm praying that you get relief from that -- just as soon as possible.
keep up the fight. keep after the longing for this life. heaven is ready when you are, but we want your incredible example of fortitude and willingness to share openly in our midst for a long time to come.
these babies grew like weeds while i was away for the week! you'd get such a kick outta them..... they are now working very hard to hold their heads up and look like the bobble dolls you see in the back of passing cars. they are really starting to smile more and more -- which i love.
take care dear sister.

Deb I have praying you are having a great weekend. Hoping your throat is so much better . It is time for you to have some fun ..... We finally had some good rain here yesterday and today woke up to lots of sun. I chatted briefly this morning with my son who is stationed in Okinawa. He said he will call tomorrow. So guess what I will jump each time the phone rings. LOL SENDING hugs to you...
Faith thank you for your prayers for us all. Those babies are going to keep you hopping.. I have both my granddaughters for a few days . They are 7 and 5. There brother is 2 but he doesnt want to leave his mom. lol When I have the girls here it extra encourages me to keep fighting hard... Pray you have a great weekend also Faith.

Good wishes to all of you, and seconding the acknowledgement that we all keep each other strong. I know your words keep me going: different journeys yet similar paths. It's the path not taken together but alone that frightens me.Slonedeb, I hope that antibiotic is kicking in well by now. Nothing more uncomfortable than a sore throat, as how do you do without swallowing? Not well, given our meds and need to stay hydrated. Thankful the source of fever was found and now treated. I wonder how you garden grows of late. I miss a fresh garden, and yours and DH's sounded so tasty. Another reason to get your throat well. I hold you close in my thoughts Deb. Your posts show a peace which is mentoring; I will pray for you doing your scans next week.To my many sisters here, I thank you for your warm words of support during the days of our joint journeys. You make the circle of life mighty and strong and loving as it comes full circle.Tender
-
it's been a day of rest and relaxation here and just a little bit of progress on all of my various projects...... so that counts as a good day in my book.
wondering how your saturday went slonedeb?
know that i wish you goodness and light, freedom from pain..........
I've got to get ready for my trip to Las Vegas next week. It's a very exciting opportunity for me & I hope that I'm up to the invitation. I will be presenting a series of workshops for the national Kindergarten teachers conference there.
I bet ya it's gonna be HOT HOT HOT out there. Vegas in the summer. whoa boy!

Well good morning Deb. My house is all quiet this morning. The granddaughters are still asleep so it is my quiet time. They are a joy to have here. It is looking to be a beautiful day. Isn't it amazing how God created all things. How he placed the sun and moon in the sky.... So how can we ever have doubts of his miracle working power. I wanted you to know you are thought of this morning and I am praying it is great day for you and that you are feeling better. GOD bless...
-
another good morning greeting dear slonedeb. a new week has begun. you have big tests this week that will begin to give your medical team additional information. i'm praying that you are able to undergo all of the testing and scans with a minimum of anxiety and a maximum of support.
i echo kbug's greeting and acknowledgement of how everything is 'right in the world' as we look at the perfect flowering daisy or marvel over the hummingbird's flight or as i am privledged to watch this squirming, kicking, cooing, smiling babies cavort with the new morning.
preparing for this next trip. know that i'll pray for you in the midst of my preparations.

Thinking of you, Deb. Glad to hear you made it outside for a bit. Some suggest alternating the Percocet with an Advil or Aleve: different pain receptors may be affected and hence soothed more than just one type of pain. Hope you're covering pain issues with your oncologist and that she's asking you about it too.Hoping Monday dawns with less discomfort, bright and lovely.((Hugs)) being sent your way, riding on the wings of a prayer.Tender

slonedeb it must break your heart, not to be able to garden -- when that's brought you such pleasure in the past...... i'm so sorry that this illness has robbed you of happiness large and small -- think of us as your new garden: you tend to all these friendships here and they bloom and grow and shower you with fruits
fruits of friendship
prayers for a restful night ahead, staying ahead of the pain

Oh our dear sweet Deb I am sorry you are not feeling so good. But wasn't it wonderful to get out yesterday? That is a step. Think about how nice it was to be out in the world...... Yes I am enjoying my grands. They sure grow so fast. Maybe tomorrow when you get up you can sit outside for a bit. Try a few more steps each day for you are not going to be defeated. May you wake in the morn with the get up to go and do something else you have not been able to do. Faith has a wonderful way with words. All us as a garden to blossom.. Hugs and love friend...

Deb, my Slone Deb.......... getting organized for my Vegas departure.
I'll see if I can put a quarter in a slot with your name on it...... maybe we can win the lottery together? Wouldn't that be a hoot!! I'll probably have to play it in the airport -- as my other days will be to filled with 'work' to have any silly fun.
Know that no matter how crazy busy I get this week -- I'm always sending you prayers for a miracle, for healing, for wellness, for strength, for courage, for what-ever-it-takes!!

Hello Deb how is the week starting off. I am believing each day you are getting stronger and more determined and able to do more. Hey only do the fun stuff.... LOL Laughter is like a medicine. I got to chat with my son who is overseas in Okinawa early this morn. It was so good to chat for about 45 minutes. It was the first long chat in about three months. I was like a sponge absorbing each word. My granddaughters got to chat with there uncle so it started off a good day. So enjoy the day Deb sending hugs to you.............
-

Good Morning lovely lady. I pray your week is going well. Put on the armour of faith . You are a strong lady.... Have you been able to get outside any more? Well if not time to get outside. It really will boost your spirits. Do not think about a worry in the world just enjoy the day. God bless......

Hello Deb. How has your week gone so far? It is warm here today . Got some rain yesterday. Praise GOD for that . Took the grands to get a happy meal a bit ago. Oh the toy is the best part for them. The joy thru a childs eyes!!!!! Let us know soon how things are. My sis in law brought her grandson by for a visit. Him and the girls had fun. He is ten yrs old when he was born he was missing fingers on each hand even had a extra toe. I think and wonder what special things he will do for the Lord with those precious hands. One of my grands she was born with club feet and I always say there is a special path for those feet. So this is our path in some way to work for the Lord. So live life to the fullest and do all we can for God. I love u bc sis and send hugssssss...
