This is my back. I just got the zipper, to cover the lat flap scar on my back.I love butterflies as they symbolize transition & rebirth, which I feel I have gone through battling Breast cancer for a second time around. Now I will try to post my big butterfly on my left arm, the body is made out of a pink ribbon, I really love this one! I have a rose on my left ankle which I got when I turned 40. I was diagnosed with bc in 2004. My husband in honor of me got the pink ribbon with my name on it and 2 shamrocks - Hope, Love, Luck.... It is beautiful!

Ok hows this for an idea. I want the ladybugs (I know, I know they are done a lot) but I want three. One in pink with red spots for my BC battle, one in red with pink dots for my heart surgery and the last one wings opening for flight one wing pink the other red to signify these two big events coming together as one into who I am. Between the three I'd have little dots that would show like where they are walking and the path from the pink one to the red one would wind around into a kind of ribbon. This would be like the path I've taken and the third on opening for flight would show I'm flying on.

I think it sounds terrific! I love when people put thought into them, and make them really mean something to them. That is what makes them so unique and personal.I say go for it! Jax

Beautiful tattoos ladies...I have a celtic circle around my ankle with two hearts & my SO's name on it and one on my left shoulder that I don't really like - guy didn't do a very good job SO I have someone designing one as a coverup for that one I don't like. I love tattoos, but you're right Jax, they really do need to mean something.

Wow, these are something Gals
I imagine there is a group
at Meetups or so
for those with Tatoos ??
Maybe, one of a leopard
or panther might be striking LOL
S
Don't think I can get one
right now
maybe later -
I had a bi-lateral mast., with reconstruction afterward...saline implants.
I just had tattoos put on, for my aureolas, and OMG! did they EVER HURT!! The tattooist thought "since they aren't REAL, then I can't feel them!" WTH?
So, any of you who have tattoos on your body, you are stronger than I am, because that hurt like HELL, and if I knew how much it was gonna hurt, I wouldn't have done it. Now, though, the tattoos have 'faded', so I went for a touch up, and she used some numbing ointment, before tattooing... less than a week later, the whold D*MN thing peeled off!! So now I still have to go back and have it re done...But, at least I got that damn nipple OFF my leg! Today, I had the nipple surgery, so now I only need a touch up on the tattoo.
Good Luck, whatever you decide to do... I think tattoos hurt too much, so I'll never get another one.Harley

The butterfly one is
lovely.. really looks pretty
Tks for sharing
Sierra
You both look .. great, in fact -
Hi Sierra,
You are too kind! I am just one year post chemo now, and finally getting back to feeling "normal" again. The butterfly just jumped at me when I saw it. I had to have it. Butterflies mean alot to me since I have gone through such a dramatic transition over the last year, as they do in life as well. And Angels are all around me I feel, especially my Mom, whom I lost to BC 20 years ago. I hope all is well with you, Jax

Hi Jax:
I understand
Butterflies are very special
in fact, one of my old bosses
used to call me Butterfly
as I was always going around
it seemed.. anyway, I was flattered
there are groups here that go on butterfly hikes
I am very sorry to learn about your Mother
that is too sad, she must have been v. young
Best to you
as you wear your tatoo!! LOL
I think we all need something like that
really enjoyed viewing all the tatoos
but is there a stick on one I can get
for the time being?

I wonder if it's a thing about taking control of our bodies at some point, when it seems that this disease has such a grip on us when we are going through it? Anyway, thank you for your kindness, If I come across a stick-on one, I will post a message to you right away! You take care, and have a great day! Love Jax
