slonedeb: I am so sorry for your recent disappointment regarding mother's day. children have no idea how they are capable of breaking our hearts -- even as adults.
please take kbug's advice. yell and scream and then back to the business of fighting the beast.
take the best care of yourself that you are capable of taking.
i'm typing right now with babyboy Trevor perched on my chest and i'm listening to his cooing. i'm sending you his baby boy smiles.... the kind that make his whole face wrinkle up with glee.
love to you for this day and the week ahead.
-
Deb we are here for one another when it seems or feels others are not paying attention to us and our needs. But our kids have to learn the hard way like us. I tell my daughter you will know one day . I also have three sons and they have given me a few grey hairs to. So see we all are the same... God bless you my dear friend who means so much....

Deb I think it would do you so much good to get away. I am going to my sons tonight and we leave for disney in morning from his house. It will be son,his wife there three kids, her niece, and me in van .My daughter and her boyfriend are flying since they can't stay as long as long as us. I have never been but my grand daughters have begged me to go. I am a good grand and mom so I have to go. Getting away can do us both good. I had chemo yesterday so I am a lil off but by the GRACE OF GOD I am going . You will be amazed how getting out can mentally and physically do you so much good. Oh Deb I have my mushy moments and I cry or vent thru it. Our kids never do what we want but hey we were young and dumb also. lol Or I was .... You should think back on where you have gone thru and only for a bit and realize the stonger woman you have become. We have chatted for awhile so I do remember. I am so proud of you for not giving up and I need you we all do even your hard headed rug rats. Thats what I call mine....Lovingly of course. I send lots of hugs, much love and prayers to you. GOD BLESS.....
-
Deb, I pray always for you. So glad that you gained 10 lbs....that is great and it will help, too. Hope today finds you feeling good.

there's a growing tide of concern -- a cure must be around the next corner!
xx00xx00xx00xx00xx

Gosh Deb, I'm truly sorry to read this. I saw you say your leg was giving you problems. Is your doctor aware the skin/vessel broke open, Deb?
Please help dear Deb by reducing her leg's swelling, healing her broken skin, absorbing the collected fluid. Give her the cherished ability to walk, even if it's to the bathroom, the kitchen table, the front door. These little things in cancer life are so powerful. Amen.
I'm holding you real tight in my thoughts, Deb.
Tender -
slonedeb, I am so sorry to learn of this most recent situation with your leg. it must be so challenging to keep your spirit bright in the face of yet another hurdle and set-back.
thank you for keeping us updated and in the loop. we can pray much more specifically as a result..... tender's words above are so touching and i know that you find them encouraging.
our babies continue to grow and hold their heads up with more strength every day. it is truly exhausting to attempt to keep up with them and their toddler brother -- but i am honored to try. i kiss them every day with your name on my lips.
i'm so glad that you can continue to communicate here. i'm sure it takes a lot of your energy, but by posting here your many many friends are able to keep your story right in the front of their busy brains.
do you watch any of the 'big' reality shows? we've gotten quite involved in the Dancing With the Stars story and have enjoyed all of the talent and energy there. i know that American Idol is also coming to it's conclusion for the season. i hope that TV can offer you some diversion from your pain.
please know that i pray for you all the time deb. i ask the heavens for your comfort and strength. you have been such a good "witness" in the face of so much challenge -- you will have a special place in heaven when that day comes..... when you're ready, the angels will rise up to meet you and carry you home. i can just imagine ctg getting things all prepared for you ahead of time and being the head of the committee to see you home..... when you're ready.
in the mean time put that determination of yours to the test and we'll keep asking the heavens for compassion and mercy.
love to you from babytown

So nice to see the sisters who wish you well, Deb. There is great strength in numbers in times needing support.
So tonight I send you my good wishes. I am hopeful your leg is less swollen and your doctor is continuing to think of possibilities for treatment.
Wishing I could wrap an arm around your shoulder tonight,
Tender -
slonedeb: are you strengthened by our bigger, stronger circle?

courage & compassion
angels, please send mercy for our friend
-
slonedeb: know that i have traveled all day. i'm safely checked into a very nice spot in Chicago and i'm sending you my love and heartfelt hugs.
sweet sister. i certainly do not understand the 'point' of suffering. but despite my toddler-like grasp of the purpose -- you've taught me so much about faith and trust. you're such a great model..... of keeping on in the face of it all.
there's gotta be an incredible reward for your being such a good student in these lessons.
sending you a warm blanket of hugs
