Cool!!! I posted twice without meaning to!!!Maybe one post should be for Shokk who enjoys straddling the fence and playing both sides!
-
Now Jaybird, let's cut Shokk a little slack. She's full of steroids and she is my new project. I'm going to bring that girl to the light. I'm going to save her soul for the good of the country. Leave her to me

Better you than me! I have no patience for her kind. I'm too busy polluting the world by working for an airline. I guess she doesn't pollute at all?
You may want to find out her take on how the cows grazing on land that used to hold trees impacts the GLOBAL (that would be the entire Earth's) environment when the ethanol from the cows (again, due to OVERCONSUMPTION of meat) affects that area and possibly areas beyong that farm/grazing land.
-
Jaybird I pollute everyday......if fact I go out of my way to pollute as much as possible.............ok now let me get this straight...........because there are too many cows grazing on land that use to hold trees........well if I'm not mistaken we have prairies, forest, oceans, lakes, all sort of landscapes and trees are a cash crop.......look at the great Northwest........and so we get rid of our cows what about India?.....they worship cows and they have more then any population in the world..........so even if we got rid of all of our cows the world would still have plenty of ethanol............ok time for me to go see how much I can pollute before I go to bed............Shokk
-
"for her kind".......let's see my kind..........jeez Jaybird you must mean tolerate, kind, rational, sober.........hmmmmmm........Shokk

Hillary won big time tonight, and I couldn't wait for her to say she's in until the end. And she did. I hope she means the real end--the convention, and not June. I'm sure something will happened between now and then to show the world that Obama is not yet ready for prime time. I'm so angry at him not not waiting until he had at least one senate term under his belt. All politicians have huge egos, but his seems to be ridiculously large, even for a politician. Any experts out there; can Hillary make her delegates stay pledged until the convention? Sure hope so.
I must also say that she looks impossibly good considering the hours she spends campaigning. I know she has a hairdresser with her fulltime, but even so! My bags would be down to my knees by now.
I sent her a contribution tonight--not a whole lot--$25.00, but every little bit helps. Shokk, I hope you sent one as well!
-
Anneshirley she did look good and her speach was a bit inspiring even for a Republican gal............I am up early and the morning "bias media" is pi$$ed.........Anneshirley did you see Terry McCullough (sp) talking to Chris Matthews last night it was either just before the speech or just after.........Terry pinned Matthew to the ground for being so freaking bias......he so had it coming..........Shokk
-
Oh and Anneshirley I would contribute if she were Pro-Life.........I would probably vote for her if she were Pro-Life but I can still be proud of her........her win last night was fantastic.......Shokk
-
The honor system keeps delegates pledged to her or him for at least the first round of voting at the convention. That's what is so great about conventions, any thing can happen. It is usual that the delegates honor their pledge. So we shouldn't get our hopes up.
There's no law they're bound to though. I think that's the real fear of having this go to the convention. Will his delegates stay in line after all that's come out?
-
Shep (whatever his name is) on Fox news yesterday tried very hard to get Terry to say when Hillary would exit the race. It was getting annoying but then funny. Finally, Terry asked him, Do you know who your talking to? She's not leaving the race!
I don't know what it will take for the media and talking heads to get it into their minds, she's staying. Then they have to be right, so they all started the mantra well she's doing this to be Vice President. Here we go again. The media just can't accept the fact she's in it to be President. Calling her a spoiler isn't working either. Some poll they took said 65% of the democrats don't want her to leave. That shut them up. Probably not for long.
-
Go Hillary! I am woman hear me roar!
-
Did anyone hear last night when Chris Matthews said "Hillary was the Al Sharpton of white people".......what the ?............Shokk
-
Yes, I did hear it! And much worse. I loved Terry (whatever his last name is) dueling with Matthews. He was particularly good when Matthews was talking about his sister-in-law being a Hillary fan; he immediately jumped in and said, "well tell her to send Hillary some money." He's quick.
And the two of them did go at it a bit last night and Terry won.
Just received an email from a friend that I urged last night to send Hillary some money. She sent $100; now I'm embarrassed to tell her I just sent $25.00. But if any of you ladies have a few extra dollars hanging around, please send her something--anything--just to keep her in the race. I'd love to see all their faces if she actually gets the nomination.
The two that got me really going last night: One commentator (big Obama fan) who said to the effect, "we're letting her stay in the race." A Hillary commentator jumped on it, paraphrasing "yes, let the little lady stay in the race." There was also an Obama supporter--congressman, I believe--who said something similar. "We're letting her stay in the race." They are so condescending, and it just makes me more and more angry. Are they actually so stupid that they don't know that it makes people like me less and less likely to support Obama!
-
Oh Johnny boy---You have got to stop alienating your base!----I know you are marching to your own drummer but must you alienate every conservative?
I went to my email and what should I find in there. ---A nice cheery note from Rick Davis announcing new items at the McCain website.
Have you gotten your environment friendly McCain polo shirt or tee made of 80% bamboo/20% cotton and biodegradable? All proceeds go to the McCain campaign.
http://store.johnmccain.com//SearchResults.asp?Cat=113
Please I'm begging you as a moderate and independent voter---Go and reinvigorate your base instead of exasperating them!
-
Yep-I sent Hillary another donation. Very upset at James Carville seemingly throwing in the towel.
"I still hear some dogs barking," Carville said, according to The State newspaper. "I'm for Senator Clinton, but I think the great likelihood is that Obama will be the nominee."
PS- Hillary just gained a Superdelegate
-
Madalyn you really don't have to look to much further than George Soros......founder of moveon.org......when he turned against the Clintons have no idea.........but he has decided for the bias media that Obama will be the Democrat nominee regardless of whether he can win in November..........Hillary is definitely the stronger candidate........Shokk
-
"Can't vote for McCain who is anti-choice, pro staying in Iraq and will do nothing about health care. He also has to have made some 'deals with the devil' to have the support he has from the Bush bunch ... and is 'pandering as hard and fast as he can' to those in the Republican base that he used to voice disagreement with. I don't see him as a maverick anymore ... but as someone who has sold out to get this chance. "
Hey Shokk, ---Did you know you were being pandered to by McCain lately? LOL
I don't think this crew has any idea why McCain is so distrusted by conservatives!-----
Now I don't think McCain has to be worried about being endorsed by the NARAL anytime soon, in fact, they just endorsed Obama which surprised Hillary.
But I truly think that Roe vs Wade will not be overturned---What you will not have with McCain is an activist court.
I believe McCain will have to seriously address Health-care which is not as easy as the candidates would have you believe. Opening up the same plan available to federal employees may be a workable idea.
It will truly take someone who can work across the aisle realizing that between Medicare and the Part D prescription program (which is in big trouble) the money isn't there so there will be no quick overnight fix. I think both Hillary and McCain have records that show they can work across party lines.
PS-Off course Soros is pulling the strings. He's about to finally get what he's wanted for years--Buying the US Presidency---
-
Nooooooooooo! Edwards is endorsing Obama at 6:30 PM tonight.
-
I'm a real meany. I will not send money to any of the candidates. They have a helluva lot more $$ than I do. Did I hear that Hillary has spent $20,000,000 of her own money...hubby can give more speeches and make more millions. LOL
She really looked great last night. Her hair was beautiful. Looked like she had a few more highlights put in. It was so shiny.
She absolutely should NOT drop out. Huckabee didn't.
Shirley
-
Yes Shirley--Considering I'm living on 850 a month disability unable to work even part time--My sister thought I was nuts to contribute. I just want to see her go forward and I am very disappointed in Edwards. He could have stayed neutral.
-
I'm coming out of the closet. I do not like Edwards. Okay, I've done it!
-
Where in the hell did I put my duct tape..........need to wrap my head.........Is Edwards out of his mind.........Hillary won by 41 points yesterday.......jeez I hope she kicks a$$ again in Kentucky.......ok as in the words of Shirley I'm stomping off to find my duct tape.....no really got to go to grocery store and buy dog food......thank goodness for Susie at least I know which brand to buy.......will be back later political junk heads......Shokk
-
Shirley I know there are a lot of Edwards fans here but I have never liked him.........Shokk
-
In case you missed it tonight on Brit Hume and company.
They uncovered Hillary's secret weapon from Jimmy Kimmel live
-
So, maybe I'll send some more money in a few days. You all inspire me.
Very disappointed about Edwards but I agree that he wants to be at the goody table so had to jump in now.
I was never one of those people looking for a communist under every bed, but I have to wonder how Obama could have gotten this campaign together without a godfather. It will come out eventually but too late, I fear, for Hillary.
What I find ironic in all of this is that supposedly the educated are voting for Obama and those without college educations making under fifty thousand are voting for Hillary. That says a whole lot, I think, about our educated populace--following along like a bunch of lemmings, whereas the supposed less educated can at least make judgments for themselves, without following the MSNBC crowd.
-
"Some young male type with little experience and no real credentials waltzing in and with no more than 'talking a good story' gets a promotion/position over the woman who has been doing the work for years. She is then expected to be 'nice' and help him to succeed or else she is labeled a selfish 'bitch'. Been there - done that - friggin tired of it."
I really like what you said, Madalyn. You hit the nail on the head. I guess they want Hillary to back down, sit down and smile nice. Maybe she should bring a bundt cake to the convention, too.
