Ok... the pool has been brought home... must wait til it warms up a bit...lol...still scraping frost from my windsheid....
so start packing... time will fly...
MB
-
Packing requires I go shopping.
-
I'm ready - I'm ready - I'm ready!!!!!!!! LOL
-
Me too - Me too - Me too!!!!!!!!
-
Me too.....Me too........Me too
I even skipped the whole month of June when I was putting a deadline on my office calendar..........One of my co-workers caught my error and thought I was having a "senior moment".......gee, I am so ready for Pinkstock!!!
-
I'm afraid to get to excited - scared something will happen to prevent me from coming - I've still got to get through Western Penn - that is the longest part of the journey I think. I keep trying to find a way around it but don't think it is possible.
MB, have I missed a post on who is coming at this point? I know some that had wanted to come have now said they don't think they will be able to make it. Just wondered if we have a recent list.
Long day, I've been gone from the boards for a bit and life is just hectic with spring's arrival.
Packing - if you can't get in your clothes that leaves only undies, gown and toothbrush and shampoo to pack. At this rate, big fig or oak leaves are looking pretty good; well, then an entire tree would be stripped of all its green!!!
Brenda/BMD - I go from being hot and sweaty to being cold and saying I am freezing. Poor DH just looks at me as if "well, which is it".
Brenda
-
OK, I put down the hop scotch tiles... the girls tested them and found them to be AOK...lol... DH has the swingset almost ready... tonight it should get kid tested.... so much to do and time is flying...
Naniam.. yes I do have the list, of course its at home.... I will bring it to work and give the list..... of definates , that I have forms & $$ from, then the tentative ones....
OK if you need room, just pack bikini's and a towel... sweat shirt & pants... if your hot wear the bikini if your're cold go for the sweat suit....lol...
hugs to all..
MB
-
Bikini is a bad word.
-
WAIT UNTIL YOU SEE THE WET T-SHIRT CONTEST!!!!
-
lol....
ok here's my list.....all info & $$ in...
BMD, Liz, Madison, Kristin, Doris, Kathy, Brenda, MB...
on the list...
Doreen, CherylG, ummm...NEESIE?....
we have a total of 29 people including families.....
SO who else is coming?.... come on it will be great.....
Swing set up, hopscotch board complete..... PA & stage waiting for a phone call... campers...gotten....
hugs to all..
MB
-
MB,
It has been awhile since I ask Vickie but she and Nate were planning on coming and camping. You might want to check on her.
I knew that Lori and someone else didn't think they would be able to make it - I'm hoping some more change their mind too.
-
The comment was deleted above as I didn't want anyone to take offense to it.............Sorry! I meant it as a joke and didn't even think of our 'missing' parts..............................
.............foot in mouth once again!!
Neesie
-
I think Christine and Donna are planning on coming also!
-
I know that Fancy earlier was coming but I guess with her chemo and everything, she won't get to now. I hate that - she was one that I got to know early on when I first came to the board.
Liz, Christine is coming? Donna too? Great!!
-
Okay...I realize I am a neebie here...tried to scroll through all the posts...can you let me know when you are having this year's PinkStock...and exactly where it will be? Hope I'm not intruding...and hope I'm not interfering...
But if it's open to all...depending on the date...it's something I just may consider...again...I certainly do not want to impose upon you and all your efforts.
Liz...you sparked my interest.
-
Laura everyone is invited there are no special groups or threads this is a BC event, I have invited a few locals too.. anyway.. its in Ischua NY, hour south of Buffalo...Aug 1-3... if you are interested I can get you the data...
Neesie... no offense taken... was actually thinking about making a few shirts for the event....
OK my DIL sent this to me... I have warned you about my small town ... but I think this says it all
Those who grew up in small towns will laugh when they read this.
Those who didn't will be in disbelief and won't understand how true it is.
1) You can name everyone you graduated with.
2) You know what 4-H means.
3) You went to parties at a pasture, barn, gravel pit, or in the middle of a dirt road. On Monday you could always tell who was at the party because of the scratches on their legs from running through the woods when the party was busted. (See #6.)
4) You used to'drag'Main .
5) You whispered the 'F' word and your parents knew within the hour.
6) You scheduled parties around the schedules of different police officers, because you new which ones would bust you and which ones wouldn't.
7) You could never buy cigarettes because all the store clerks knew how old you were (and if you were old enough, they'd tell your parents anyhow.) Besides, where would you get the money?
8) When you did find somebody old enough and brave enough to buy cigarettes, you still had to go out into the country and drive on back roads to smoke them.
9) You knew which section of the ditch you would find the beer your buyer dropped off.
10) It was cool to date somebody from the neighboring town.
11) The whole school went to the same party after graduation.
12) You didn't give directions by street names but rather by references. Turn by Nelson's house, go 2 blocks to Anerson's , and it's four houses left of the track field.
13) The golf course had only 9 holes.
14) You couldn't help but date a friend's ex-boyfriend/girlfriend.
15) Your car stayed filthy because of the dirt roads, and you will never own a dark vehicle for this reason.
16) The town next to you was considered 'trashy' or 'snooty,' but was actually just like your town.
17) You referred to anyone with a house newer then 1955 as the 'rich' people.
18) The people in the 'big city' dressed funny, and then you picked up the trend 2 years later.
19) Anyone you wanted could be found at the local gas station or the dairybar.
20) You saw at least one friend a week driving a tractor through town or one of your friends driving a grain truck to school occasionally.
21) The gym teacher suggested you haul hay for the summer to get stronger.
22) Directions were given using THE stop light as a reference.
23) When you decided to walk somewhere for exercise, 5 people would pull over and ask if you wanted a ride.
24) Your teachers called you by your older siblings' names.
25) Your teachers remembered when they taught your parents.
26) You could charge at any local store or write checks without any ID.
27) There was no McDonalds.
28) The closest mall was over an hour away.
29) It was normal to see an old man riding through town on a riding lawn mower.
30) You've pee'd in a cornfield.
31) Most people went by a nickname.
32) You laughed your butt off reading this because you know it is true, and you forward it to everyone who may have lived in a small town.
I would not have wanted to have been raised any other way!!!!
Tough times don't last... Tough people do. -
Laura, I'm going this year too. Hope you can make it. I'm truly looking forward to meeting everyone.
-
Laura - I'm so glad you're thinking of coming. As far as I'm concerned, no one is a "newbie" and everyone is a friend.
Naniam - last I talked with Donna she said she and Christine were pretty sure they were coming again. I'll have to call her soon if she doesn't post.
MB - love the email. A friend sent me that also.
Have a great day kids.
-

MB-Whats a golf course?
-
BMD.........golf courses are places with a huge green lawn and people walk around and hit a ball with a stick and then go find it! And they say it's fun!!!!
MB: I'm planning on coming to Pinkstock.............just haven't finalized anything yet...............kinda playing the 'how is Mom going to be' game.
Hugs,
Neesie
