Ladies,

I was raised in the South and have relatives that would vote Dem. if the donkey ran! ha

I will vote for McCain. I come at this a little differently than some and really am not a one issue voter - but I will never vote for anyone that is pro choice or for government run health care.

I like George W. Bush (so shoot me!) and I do think he was the man for the job after 9/11!

I have no idea who would be a good running mate for McCain - just hope it is someone that is a true conserative.

We may get higher taxes no matter who wins --- but the Dems. have promised it!

((((Joan)))) a woman of kinder spirit........of course being Texan we do not consider ourselves to be "southern", I think because half of the state is so close to the western half of the United States and half so close to eastern U.S......here in Texas the way we speak depends on what part of Texas you are from.......Bush definitely speaks "West Texan"......you say earl for oil.......heel for hill......anyway yea I'm a "Bushie" as well.....do I think he has made some mistakes......of course.....do I think he has pander too much to the Democrats in trying to get some things done......absolutely........do I think he has gone against his basic fiscal principles and has spent too much money......yes.....and I know the democrats will scream war money........and that is not what I'm talking about......you antiwar people and believe it or not none of us like war but this is the real world and if you think it is not absolutely necessary to have a strong defense you guys are fooling yourselves.......regardless of what we think the guys that flew in those planes had lived in U.S. for what 6 years before they carried out their plans?.....they were going to flying schools and told their instructors they just wanted to learn to fly a plane but not land it.......wth?..........I know the left wants to blame Bush for 9/11 but the plans were in place years before during Clinton and maybe even were hatched during Reagan........Clinton passed law so that the FBI and National Security Bureaus could not even communicate with each other..........so here we are......this should be a Democrat election year........we Republicans are tired.......we are a bit wounded.........we are tired of fighting the liberal media.......we are tired of trying to explain basic 101 economics......we are tired of trying to explain when life begins.........we are just tired.......I think we need to regroup.........since McCain is really not Conservative maybe Republican if he does win the election we will have to watch him like a hawk.......ok phone I will be back...........Shokk

Rosemary--I think its to early to criticize or attack McCain's health plan.

It is a work in progress and still evolving--He's going to get allot of input.

I think it's more difficult to formulate a plan based on the private sector but, I think it will be more realistic and attainable.

With the mess that Medicare and especially the part D drug program is in- never-mind Social Security---It's a pipe-dream that  the Democrats even within their own party, could get the support to take on such a massive government outlay.

{{{Joan}}} and {{{Shokk}}} here's a nother Texas southerner.  However, I've been in North Carolina much longer.  Talking about speaking "Texan."  I had to learn to say a few words here in the deep south.  One was organ...we said argan...another one was fork...we said fark (and that could be misunderstood if not heard correctly ).  I can't think of anymore right now, but those two words stand out in my mind.

I like ole Bush too.  I think he's funny.  Did anyone see his press conference in the Rose Garden yesterday.  He was on a roll.  And he also very serious.

Yes!  Bobby Jindal Louisiana's Governor and incidentally a Rhodes scholar confirmed he is on McCain's VP list.

Yes he says he has the job he wants and he thinks his lieutenant Governor is spreading the word because being Governor of Louisiana is such a great job.

I hope he'd take it if it meant helping the party.

I would love to see that ticket.

I like him, Susie!  GO, BOBBY!  Yeah, president in 2012.  Too bad he couldn't have run this year.  His motto could be CHANGE!  I'm still listening.

I was really shocked last night when the votes came in.  I couldn't believe that Obama had such an advantage over Hillary.  No one did.  And then Indiana.  Wow, after Obama conceded and Hillary made her speech (didn't get to listen..daughter called me) it was "breath holding time." 

Obama lovers are Obama lovers.  I don't care what he does he'll get their vote.  And I heard that he made a comment (in his speech) that the repubs would come after him with gaffes and such.  I heard McCain's response was that Obama never did work across party lines, so what makes us think he's going to do it now.  I need to look for Obama's speech.

I do believe after last night Obama is going to be rejuvenated.  He seemed so down in the dumps.

There's no Clinton magic this time.  The numbers are the numbers.  Actually, I'd like to see the real campaign get started now.  She might keep this alive for 3 more weeks and McCain gets to save his money.  I listened to Romney this morning, the first volley was about Obama's lack of experience. One talking head said you don't need experience to be President.  Two wars ongoing, Iran giving us grief and China arming up, nah we don't want anyone with experience.   

Hopefully, they'll bring out his past voting record in the State Senate, and we're off to the races.

By the way McCain will be on O'Reilly tonight.  Dick Morris has already submitted his trick questions for O'Reilly to ask. 

Guess Morris needs a new target now that Hillary is on the wane.

Linda, poor Bill looked like he had been in a tanning booth gone wrong.  He was soooo red faced.  Was he angry?  Was he embarrassed?  I know THEY do not like losing.

My Granddaughter signed up for the National Guard.  She's been in, what do they call that in high school?, thing for years.  I'm losing my mind.  Anyway, she's all revved up to be a Guard.  Help in disasters here at home, I don't know if they send them to guard our borders, but she's willing to do all that's asked.  She's praying she won't have to go to Iraq. 

If McCain is a man of his word, he says he'll take our forces out of harms way there.  I really do believe we have to give this war over to the Iraqi's to fight.  Get the Iraqi people home who are living in other countries and get their act together for themselves.  We should be a presence but not a fighting one.  We'll guard their borders to keep Iran out of trouble by not letting their war materials in.   It would be nice if we can guard our own borders but I'm asking for too much.  So we'll see if he's a man of honor and keep his word to us, and I think he is, and get our kids out of the line of fire there.

Linda.......ha........ok what is up with Bill Clinton and the tan thing.........he has never heard of sunblock?........I thought McCain sounded ok on O'Reilly tonight.......I liked his body language......he kept leaning into O'Reilly and talking softly.........kinda kept O'Reilly just slightly off balance.......Linda I agree.........do the Democrats think that middle America where the Presidencies are decided going for all this foolishness?........Shokk
