MB - I'm going to try my hardest. With Tim just now going back on the road, I doubt he will be able to come with me. I know it's tough for you with planning, but I may not know until July. I'm pretty sure, I'll drive up for a quick trip!!! Just have to make sure Tim is home that weekend. I really don't want to miss it. It's just too important to meet everyone and hug and laugh in person!!
I'm sure Brenda and DH will have room for me on their second honeymoon. NOT.
-
Bren, our 25th anniversary will be the 1st of July - we will get to do something special after all - just a bit late.
You're welcome to ride up with us - can Tim pick you up? Maybe there is someone driving south a bit that Tim wouldn't have to drive all the way to upstate NY to fetch you. We'll talk about this.
-
Brenda/Naniam, I am staying at Best Western as well!!
So I wonder how many people we have so far? It is so exciting to think about getting to meet everyone in person!
Posted this at the Hamptons but will post here as well....this is a list of some of the cover songs we were thinking of doing...of course we will do some songs from our CD as well! And we are working on 'Do You Know The Way To Ischua' (and hopefully we are pronouncing it right! LOL)
Closer to Fine - Indigo Girls
Crazy Love - Poco
Dust In the Wind - Kansas
Helplessly Hoping - Crosby Stills and Nash
Landslide - Stevie Nicks
Falling Slowly (from the 2007 movie 'Once')
Ob-la-di-ob-la-da - Beatles
Secure Yourself - Indigo Girls
Killing Me Softly
California Dreamin' - The Mamas and the Papas
Summer Breeze - Seals and Crofts
Teach Your Children - Crosby Still and Nash
I Want to Hold Your Hand - Beatles
In My Room - Beach Boys
Homeward Bound - Simon and Garfunkel
Stumbling Through the Dark - Jayhawks
Airplane - Indigo Girls
Send a Message to My Heart - Dwight Yoakum (DH and I do this as a duet!)
Sounds of Silence - Simon and Garfunkel
Let It Be - Beatles
Give A Little Bit - Supertramp (I think)
Leavin' On a Jet Plan - Peter Paul and Mary
Five O'Clock World
Time After Time - Cyndi Lauper
Will I see You in Heaven - Jayhawks
If You Want Me (from the movie 'Once')
If I Fell - Beatles
Tin Man - AmericaHopefully lots of people know lots of these songs...I know there are a few esoteric ones (but I think you will like them also!). Not sure how long of a concert it will be, so let me know if there are any songs in there that are MUST-HAVEs and we will put them in the top of the line-up!
*Hugs*

Brenda/BMD
At my age, give me air conditioning - lots of comfort!! After 11 years without a vacation - I've earned a room!! Mosquitoes love me too.
Liz, thanks for the link for the shirts. Is there a day that everyone wears them?
Kristin - I recognized some of the titles to the songs - I'm bad to know lyrics but not the name of the song. Now you have to remember too, I'm a late 50's -60's kind of gal. Do wap(not sure that spelling is correct) stuff. After hearing your CD anything you guys do will be great.
-
I have been worrying about the a/c thing myself. My sister doesn't have it at her house either. How will I sleep? I guess I will just have to stay up all night. The boys want to camp too. We like the night time by the fire. Hoping to see some fire flys. The boys have never seen them.
-
Unfortunately, I am going to have to pass this year
. Have to go to Germany for father-in-law's 80th birthday. I am sooo jealous of you girls that are going - I know you will all have a wonderful time.
Hugs
Elaine

OK for those newbies camping on the hill.... last year even though it was 95 during the day..we needed a light sweat shirt at night.... so we'll get fans for the campers ..I think you will be fine, and the breeze on the hill is great...hmmmm Madison wore a sweater the whole time...lol...I think you 'll be fine with out AC....lol.... I always have the hose and well water can be very cold...
Choca sorry we will miss you, I know crazy Bob was cutting some special trees just incase Wolfgang came ...lol...
hugs
Mb the nut on the hill...
-
MB,
Had to chuckle - I would think after the hot summers Madison has in Louisiana(and probably this southern gal in NC) - it does feel kind of cool at night especially if you don't have the high humidity.
So we need a sweater or light jacket, mosquito and crochet stuff. Making a list, anything else anyone knows we should take? I'll probably reek of bug stuff after dark - I sometimes think I must be like a glow worm and the mosquitoe's zero in on my flesh!!
Oh, now I'm getting excited!!!!
Choco, sorry that I won't get to meet you.
-
Okay so I am a big baby when it comes to being hot. You wait and see what happens when I have a hot flash in that kind of heat. I look like a drowned rat. My way to thin Femara hair just sticks to my head. Just keep the cool hose out for me MB.
-
Kristin...
lets see if I can do this ...
Ish u ay..
kind of a little canadian ...ay...lol... sorry cherylG..
-
I thought it had a c in it.
Calling all people bringing young boys. Mine are bringing their Pokemon cards to play and trade.
-
Is it time to leave yet? I am sooooooo ready!
-
lol... you can come anytime..... oh yeah and stay with Tim...lol
-
MB-that must be one of those Iroquois Indian names.
-
lol.. Brenda... we are surrounded by Reservations...lol... and my DIL is part Native American, she actually has competed in "drumming competitions"
-
LOL I'm sure Tim would love that! Can't wait to see everyone
-
Ok I went back and read the beginning... what happened to everyone?.... hmmm...
Remember this is about sharing, hugs, feelings, crocheting tips, new patterns, a few blue drinks and bonfires.... and finally putting real people to the screen names....
hope to see you all there...
MB
-
If we stay with Tim do we have to live in the basement???? With Mr. Lizard?
Does anyone want to do the Baskets again this year? I thought that was fun!
And a couple of auctions?? Of course...we need some talented girls to make something to auction!!
Hugs,
Neesie
-
I can draw stick people.
-
Neese.. Tim doesn't have a lizard, lol.. dogs & rabbits, but think some are staying with me... and nope can't stay in his basement...but his spare room and couch I think are ready...
hugs all...
MB
wondering if BMD's stick people have clothes.....lol...
-
Clothes would require something other than circles and lines right?
-
MB.........must have your men mixed up! Who has the 'lizard' and lived in your basement?????????????? And don't tell me it was Crazy Bob!
