    You guys ROCK!

There are days that I honestly have ahard time praying.  Some days I am so tired and angry that it seems like all the lines are blocked.  On those days especially I take SUCH comfort in knowing you are all praying for me.

Today I pray for ALL of us.  I pray that God will keep his hand on all the doctors and researchers who are looking for our cure.  May he whisper the answers in their ears.

    Love Ya

    Deb C

deb..... take it from me, our Creator is quite used to our being angry and i think some of my prayers full of hurt & frustration have been the ones where i have felt divinity. go ahead and scream in prayer if ya want....

our God is an awesome God...... read the psalms, we're certainly not the first to be angry, to question, to agonize, to rail, to lift a clenched fist up to heaven.

our God is good...... we are fortunate enough to be living in a time of promise, living at the expense of all of the woman who've gone before us and sacrificed their lives for the medical know-how that we benefit from.

i will raise my voice in prayers, beside yours in pleading for a CURE, pleading for major break-throughs, pleading for progress.... i love the image of God -- or an angel, whispering in a researchers ear. Maybe Einstein or Madame Currie could point the way today?

hang in there sweet northern star. believe in hope. believe in wellness. your life is forever different -- make it forever better.

(I have an avatar now: It's a picture I took last summer of a gorgous flower.... and right when I was pressing the shutter button, the monarch landed!! A mini-miracle that reminds me that God has perfect timing. Has perfect gifts in store. Has a sense of humor. Has glorious creation for our appreciation. Stay keenly aware of those little mini-miracles unfolding all around you.)

And rest assured that we will continue to pray on your behalf, specifically..... so just go ahead and focus on the next hour -- and the next. We'll be imploring heaven to guide you on your journey.

Yesterday before I went to chemo I asked God if I was doing the right thing.  I felt so good after a week off chemo that I really didn't want to go back, I knew I  had to, but I was grumpy about it because I didn't want to feel so crappy again.  Anyway, I walked in for my bloodwork only to find that my tumor markes were back 2 days early.  My CA 27-29 dropped from 171 to 82, and my CA125 dropped from 97 to 17!  I think it was Gods way of showing me it's working!!  Once again, a nurse holding an answer to my prayer....a reason to sit down and let them fill me with drugs that are killing cancer.

Just then the lady i sat down next to was plugging in the little CD players they have for us.  This is the song she played. Maybe God thought I need LOTS of signs of his love and protection yesterday.  God is certainly good.

     by Michael Joncas:

"ON EAGLES' WINGS" You who dwell in the shadow of His wings,
who abide in His shadow for life,
say to the Lord: 'My refuge,
my God in whom I trust!'(Chorus)
And He will raise you up on eagles' wings,
bear you on the breath of dawn,
make you to shine like the sun,
and hold you in the palm of His hand. The snare of the fowler will never capture you,
and famine will bring you no fear:
    under His wings your refuge,
His faithfulness your shield.(Chorus)And He will raise you up on eagles' wings,
bear you on the breath of dawn,
make you to shine like the sun,
and hold you in the palm of His hand. You need not fear the terror of the night,
    nor the arrow that flies by day;
    though thousands fall about you,
near you it shall not come.(Chorus)
And He will raise you up on eagles' wings, bear you on the breath of dawn,
make you to shine like the sun,
and hold you in the palm of His hand. For to His angels He's given a command
to guard you in all of your ways'
upon their hands they will bear you up,
lest you dash your foot against a stone.(Finale)
And He will raise you up on eagles' wings, bear you on the breath of dawn, make you to shine like the sun, and hold you in the palm of His hand.

Northern star..... thank you for bringing that hymn back into my heart. It's been missing recently. Reading the text here, brings the soaring melody back into my spirit.

We are indeed given the encouragement that we need for the challenge at hand. Keep your eyes and ears open for the sign(s) that will be given to you today. Signs of our Creator's care about your individual story.

Northern Star: guide us to your own wellness.... lead us with your sense of humor, your can-do attitude, your cheerfulness in the face of fear, concern, pain and the unknown. Know that we are following your light as a beacon.

I send you energy, wisdom, patience and calm. This is temporary. This is a storm. The sun always comes out after the storm.... that's just a fact. Even the worst of storms must pass -- as that's the very nature of a storm: temporary.

So batten down the hatches!! CELEBRATE the fact that your markers are dropping!! WHOOOOOOOhoooooooooooEEEEEEEEEEE!

You are under-going a transformation. Literally, a transformation.

Northern star: our babies are just about done percolating.... they are going to be awaiting your scooping them up into your heart. They bring baby powder & teeny tiny booties and gurgles and burps to encourage you forward. They are going to need examples of courage to guide their path. So keep putting one foot in front of the other.

Thanks for all the prayers.  I can't wait to see baby pictures :)  I picked April 23rd, my DH's b-day on your little poll.

Please pray for my frinds Mike and Patty.  I have know Mike my whole life.  We went through school together and they now live right down the road from me.  On Saturday night their high school aged son took his own life.  I know they are heartbroken, and all I can think of to do is pray.  I know nothing I say or do will take away their pain.  I guess just pray for peace for the family.....so sad...

Northern star. What a sorrow for you to know, to share such sorrow with your dear friends. What a heaviness. I'm sure that Mike & Patty are utterly heart broken. I pray that they can manage these first few days of their loss in a numbness that protects them. I can't imagine what they must be feeling, or how lost you must be in offering them consolation. There are absolutely no words.

One of the passages that has always given me encouragement is the one that says: "For those who love Him, for those called in agreement with his Purpose -- God makes all things work together for good." I've come to understand 'all things' on a personal level. I've often cried out..... now how can this possibly work for 'good' only to reflect back years later that God did manage to forge good from brokeness.

I'm sure that seems like an impossibility to Mike & Patty right now. Yet I've know God to work miracles in the most devastating of circumstances and I will pray that your friends find healing ahead. I pray that they will be able to wrestle with their faith in ways that offer hope and not despair.

Hold yourself together so that you can help hold them together.

Special thoughts for you this week. Strength and courage. You are a witness to your friends: that we can withstand much more than we can ever imagine. You demonstrate your courage daily for them. They are going to need to ride on the coat-tails of your manufactured courage. I'll send you some extra.

No news in babytown, but I have your DH b'day choice written on my list! Time will tell.

Sending prayers of strength and encouragement for the aftermath of Mike and Patty's loss. Being there for them, sitting with them, hugging them and sobbing with them are your gifts at this unbearable time.

I pray that you can all hold one another thru the grief and sorrow.

Northern Star.... we're getting closer and closer to the arrival of our babies. I'm going to be bottling up some of their new-baby smell, just as soon as they arrive and wing it directly to you. Always focus on that unborn potential, that completely blank slate of hope.... where everything and anything is possible.

I'm asking the angels to surround you with the grace of our Creator on this day of reflection.... may She send you all of the encouragement you need for today.

Northern Star: shine brightly today, lead us by your willingness to share your concerns and your triumphs. Know that your enthusiasm for living is an example to us all.

I continue to hold Mike & Patty in my heart. I know that you are being a wonderful friend to them in the midst of this devastating loss. I pray that you are given the strength and insight in how to reach out to them at this time.

Dear Mr. Deb: "Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday, happy birthday..... happy birthday to you."

I am so sorry that our little peanuts were so eager to arrive that they missed your big day. I know that would have made my northern star so tickled. Please know that you may still consider yourselves as cyber-supers and receive all of the benefits thereof.

This unique responsibility requires you to look at vast sums of pics and sigh: God is good. Wow. God is indeed very good.

Now back to your celebration. Hope the day is flat out extra-ordinary.

Northern Star: I found myself getting anxious yesterday about all of the unknowns and the many issues surrounding our babies.... so as I was driving I started singing as many little songs from Sunday School days as I could remember. Then I started making up 'new' verses for Jesus Loves Me. Before I knew it, I'd arrived at my destination and was feeling completely peaceful. I'll sing a couple verses for you tonight.
