Prayers for Deb C
Comments

Heavenly Father, who takes care of us all, our friend Deb C is once again, facing the prospect of fighting cancer. She has had unsettling test results and has been led to believe it is back. She will be undergoing more tests in the next couple of day. If it be Thy will, Lord, allow the doctors to find some other condition that is causing her symptoms. And if the cancer is back, Lord, please give her and her family the strength to fight it. Deb gives a lot to those who need help. Help us to be there for her. In Jesus name, Amen.

Thinking of you Deb!

Thank you so much. I am having a hard time calming my mind down enough to even pray. I am so full of sadness about CY, and worry about my tests.....
My prayer today if for peace. I need to feel God's hand on my life. I need to let go of the things I can't control and give them too God.
Hugs

dear heavenly wisdom..... wrap your calming spirit around our deb in the face of the unknown. let your peace enter her heart and allow her to trust in your good mercy and benevolence. our little tribe has lost so much of late and so the reality of this disease is immediately before us -- as so many of your dear daughters have joined you in heaven, leaving us in a quandry of emotions, struggling to accept reality.
you have given us the blessing of this site, which connects us to each other, but simultaneously opens us to so much more suffering. help us to dwell on the commraderie here, the support we offer each other and the community that we've created.
give our deb the signs that she seeks that you are indeed in control of her story. that you will carry her thru whatever lies ahead. that you will give her the strength to face whatever is at hand. please bless her with sound sleep. strengthen her spirit by weaving it together with yours.
she's asking for peace, i ask that you grant her that wish. guide her in each hour to know that you are holding her up, holding her close, holding her fears and her delights. may we each learn to trust in your will. be with your little flock as we attempt to hold each other up.
-
may the call of the owls remind you tonight how much we are all in this together.... be brave in the challenges at hand. know that i start my day with prayers for your well being and the peace that you seek.

God Is Our Hope
God is our hope and strength,
a very present help in trouble.
Therefore will we not fear, though the earth be moved,
and though the hills be carried into the midst of the sea;
Though the waters thereof rage and swell,
and though the mountains shake at the tempest of the same.
There is a river, the streams whereof make glad the city of God,
the holy place of the tabernacle of the Most High.

Deb,
These are my favorite passages: Psalms 34: 4,5
"Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart."
"Commit thy way unto the Lord; and he shall bring it to pass."
This is what I believe for you ... He shall bring it to pass and bless you with good health.
love you,
Bren

Embracing you in prayer
Dear Deb C
Gentle hugs, -
be brave today in the face of the unknown............
put on your feathered bonnet and restore that look of pluck and spirit to your face. send your body the message that your team is here cheering for you and we intend to be here for all the steps ahead.
In the words of Churchill, or sung as a country song: "When you're going thru hell, keep on going."

Prayer for the Sick
Dear Jesus, Divine Physician and Healer of the Sick, we turn to You in this time of illness. O dearest Comforter of the troubled, alleviate our worry and sorrow with Your gentle love, and grant us the grace and strength to accept this burden. Dear God, we place our sick under Your care and humbly ask that You restore Your servant Alaska Deb to health again. Above all, grant us the grace to acknowledge Your holy will and know that whatsoever You do, You do for the love of us. Amen.
Deb, I love you. sending hugs with the bugs and fishes.

Susan, Thank you for starting this thread!
Father in heaven, we come humbly before you, praising you for so many things. But Lord, our hearts are heavy for our sister Deb C
from Alaska. The news she received yesterday isn't welcome here, yet we must face it. My prayer, God, is for you to embrace Deb. Let her feel your presence in a mighty way. Let her feel us as well.
We love her so, and we know that you love her even more. Your will for us is what is best for us and we don't understand. But I pray Father, that this is not your will, and that you will bring complete healing her way. Keep us united, Lord. Keep us ever mindful of what you would have us to do. Help us to be what and who we need to be for our sister Deb, and each other. We ask this in the precious, holy name of Jesus, Amen

OK...I have had time to put my fears in some kind of order....the thing that I am really praying about is the numb spot on my face. It is about the size of a silver dollar, below the chin. Of course I am afraid it means the mets is in my brain.
Please pray that it is something else....anything else. Also pray that I am able to turn this over to God and find some peace.
Your prayers mean a lot to me.
Thanks seems like a small word
Hugs

Creator-of-all that is wonderful: Surround our AlaskaDeb with your mercy, with your care, with your strength and with your abundent grace. Guide her in ways that would allow her to give all of her fears of the unknown to you.
Carry her thru the darkness, the waiting, and the wondering. Wrap your amazing healing powers around Deb..... you are the maker-of-miracles. Enlighten the team caring for her.... bringing them insight, wisdom and tenacity. Strengthen Deb's family and friends -- to hold her up in the hours and minutes at hand.
Bring deep peace and complete sleep.
Help Deb realize that she is never alone.
