Had a rough night and I'm still having a hard time finding hope. How do I learn not to fall in to a hole every time we lose another sister??? This is just so sad, and makes me so angry.....
Hugs

Hey Deb ...
That black hole .. pretty scary place. I think Jesus talks about faith, hope and charity and the greatest of these is charity (love). Since you've got an abundance of love, I wouldn't worry too much about the other two. Leave those two for now. Trust that others have those for you. I couldn't pray for months when I was diagnosed, but I trusted others that I knew were praying for me, so I didn't worry about doing it myself or having any faith or hope. I just remembered to love each day. That was all that was required of me ... just for these 24-hours, to live and to love.
We will have faith and hope for you.
love,
Bren

Thanks for understanding. This is SO not like me! I usually can spring back from things.....
At Easter services yesterday I asked God for a miracle. I have never asked that before, but I want a cure for cancer.
-
(((Deb))) Love you lady. The Lord is so with you right now. Ask for all the miracles you want. The Lord has a plan. Just know that he loves you. All through treatment and beyond I did not pick-up my Bible once. I rarely prayed on a daily basis. I would beg though. During the night when the SE's were the worst was usually my time to talk with or shout out to God. I am praying for you Deb.
-
Deb,
I have a theory about miracles (the big ones anyway) from parting the Red Sea to raising Lazarus ... they are for the glory of God. And on the very rare occasion I have asked for one, I start thanking Him for it immediately. Where two or more ask in His name, consider it done. We've got three right here. Consider it done ... now is the time to start thanking Him for the miracle and that His glory and grace will be shown to all through you.
I swear girlfriend ... you are the only one who can get me to speak openly of my faith!
love ya,
Bren

deb ........ i don't even go to church (right or wrong) ........ but i find myself routinely speaking out loud to "someone" (even though i'm all by myself) pleading for a miracle, a cure, hope, reprieve, etc. etc.
.......... i speak to the abyss with all of us in mind, with my child in mind, with my dreams in hand ........... with hope and faith ........... with the blind ambition of a believer in a power that can heal ........... with the ignorance of a woman that just wants to raise her child, with the belief that my efforts were not in vain ................. i will not believe for a minute that ANYBODY needs me more than my kid does .......... so i'll fight to the death (even though some days it would be easier to give in because i'm so tired) ...... i guess i'm trying to say that i admire your faith and wish mine was stronger.
mets isn't the end of the world ..........
it just sucks to live with the "maybe's" everyday ...........
i love ya deb .......... take care
-
Shel,
That's the beauty of this .... your job is to live and love for just this 24-hours ... we'll do the faith, hope and praying part for you.
A big hug from your VA sis.
Bren
PS - I don't go to church either ... right or wrong ... it's just in my heart.
