Going to cut a paste in a couple of places....love you guys!
Quick update as I am beat. We got to Anchorage only to find that the cyclotron (sp) that makes the radioactive juice for the PET scan broke down last night....so no pet scan! I was able to do the brain MRI and the lumbar puncture. I was a little freaked out with the brain MRI because the guy doing it said it took longer than he had planned because he wanted to do some "fine views" of the nerves in my neck when her read on the report that I had facial numbness....so of course, I'm sure he saw something nasty and didn't want to say so.
They had to do 2 pokes to get the spinal fluid, but they were very nice and didn't hurt me. I just hated laying flat on my back for the next two hours. Since I have had a spinal headache before, I know how important that step is, but I was antsy the whole time.
I need to be at the local hospital tomorrow at 6:30am for my port placement, and then back to Anchorage next Tuesday for the PET and an appointment with my ONC.
OK....to beat for any more news. Thanks so much for the cards, prayers, and good wishes. I'll check in soon....
Hugs

OMG!!!
My family & I, & my dad, THANK YOU, from the bottom of our hearts. It is amazing to see what an impact my mother had on so many people. I only wish I could be half the woman she was. Thank you again, the flowers are beautiful. We have them put out throughout the house, and it makes us laugh and cry and smile to know she is so loved. Her memorial is being held here a the house tomorrow, the flowers make it feel complete with all of the pictures, and the quotes I have printed that you have written about her. I hope you don't mind that I have shared those. BIG HUGS to all, much love,
Thank you again.
Jerri & Family
(CY's daughter)

Jerri,
Our hearts are with you and your family.
I started a Memorial Thread for CY. We can't be at her Memorial Service in person, but we can share memories and the love we have for your Mom. Our love will indeed transcend the miles that separate us all.
Hugs and Love, Madison
